My guess is the 2900XT, QX6700, and some Intel motherboard?
From AMD? yeah right ;)
AMD gfx card, AMD mobo, AMD CPU would make more sense ;)
Cooooool
Screw it, I'm gonna postpone getting a new rig (again) and spend the money on a new AV stack instead.
(I flip flop worse than John Kerry :()
Phenom, RD790, R650 here I come...
Suman
It better be one hell of a preformance boost for having all three amd products, else theres realy no point to it.
Or maybe i've got this all wrong
Hm...im sure they will be offering all three categories soon.
There's going to be a space to put your e-mail address and then fill in a form.

maybe amd speeds up and we'll see barcelona in June?
Well maybe AMD will open a straight online shop that means and in the same I wonder if that will be cheaper than Online stores.I think after the k10 launching, AMD will improve its marketing services. :D
Please leave this thread alive until we know for sure about this :toast:
Part of a "Tech Tour" package perhaps?
ahhh
DDR3 + K10 + HD2900XTX Crossfire + ATI AM2+ boards
that's my dream system for the next 6 months until Penryn launches
4x4+2x2900XT+FX74s is my best bet. Unless its a very long term waiting.
We can't get any of them at the momet. Has to be K10+R600+some new K10 chip.
Don't take it the wrong way but I have been playing with the new Intel stuff for a couple of weeks now and next to the performance and stability of NF4 I say IMO its utter garbage and way unstable and just good enough to blow up and nothing more! I cant wait for the new AMD to arrive because quite honestly people make entirely too much of a big deal about Core2 Duo as I only saw maybe a 4% increase in day to day use, now benchmarking and Estroking you're online penis is about the only merit I see any difference in . Oh yea big difference in Encoding Video thats it!
^ If you cant get your intel100% torture stable the only reason is YOU ^ :slapass:
I just bought AMD for the first time in over a year
X2 3600+ that 'should' do ~3.0GHz going by the batch $ 88AU
2x1GB Kingston 667 DDR2 pair that does ~ 900MHz ....$120AU
Anus M2A-VM HDMI with ATI 1250 vga that OC's I hope $130AU
$338AU is a damn good price for a basic rig to torture  :D
Who said my testing was not stable? The new platforms are very immature and flaky and not what I would consider stable if you catch my drift looking at it in that perspective.
I will be getting a EVGA 680i A1 in 2 days and we will see if I change my mind about my prior statement but I still would not give up my current sytem for a Conroe build!
Back on topic with AMD though I am really looking forward to their new offerings this year and very excited about what they will bring, My next Personal system will be a Super Micro H8DAi-2 Dual Socket F and will get a couple of 2216 or 2218 chips from Ebay for cheap until Barcelona comes out and drops a little then I will get 2 Barcelona Quad chips and 8Gb DDR2667 ECC Registered who needs to O.C that set up?
gdoggy....woof ....woof....Whats up baby?:toast:
AMD bundles stuff bad.. http://www.amdmicrosoftretailtour.com/
LOL.....I gotta ask whats up with the cat video:D
What's up Cam? Over here causing trouble for people I see.
I think you might be a little biased. My findings differ in that for the length of time the platforms have had to mature they are quite far along.
Cliffy Baby whats up? Don't know man I am not impressed with it as of yet but the Infinity 975X/G was a flakey board and I did not like it at all even tried another one and same deal, So yes my opinion at this point may be biased! I will be getting a EVGA 680i A1 in a couple of day's and we will see if my opinion changes and I will be more than willing to admit if I was wrong and jumped the gun with my staement. Until that time I don't like the new Intel and the Infinity was one of the more mature chipsets so we will see!
1) there is nothing wrong with changing your current position when important information comes around. This isn't about sticking to one thing, it is about doing the job better than anyone else.
2) If everyone tried to be consistent regardless of the facts, we would all be using VaXen w/ 4Mb of Ram and twin Tapes
3) must resist arguing the Kerry point >.<
get all 3 - well duh, what a surprise
hopefully that means "package" deals from retailers
Hey, That was a mistake and was to lazy to change it! But OK no sweat.
On topic:
3 would make sense when talking about CPU, Board, and GPU but is there more to it? Mainstream right now is what a dual core CPU and 1 GPU, so thats 3. Could it be the Crossfire + Physics that has been quite silent lately? I am really curious as to how the new graphics cards will perform when put in a DX10 environment. I want to see games like crysis in action. I also want to see what AMD has in store with K10. I wasn't really into computers all that much till after the X2 series came out so I want to see how each company reacts to the new tech. I really wish the AMD/ATI merger didn't happen, I believe we would see both products out much faster.
Off topic:
Well I would say the flakiest boards of them all were the ATI 3200 chipset boards. Half the stuff didn't work out of the box, it failed to beat nvidia or intel in OC, and what, there are 5 boards you can buy with the chipset? Core2Duo was my first OCing experience and it was easy as pie, I am completely unaware of this flakyness you speak of.
Buy the D.F.I Infinity 975X/G and you will see what I mean. I have not had other experiences with the new Conroe stuff outside of the initial bad experience with 2 different unstable Infinity 975X/G's so like I said if I am wrong I will admit it and have no problem doing so. But I see allot of experienced older heads going through 4-5 boards just to find something decent so yea to me that qualifies as flakey and prematture releases.
But Apples to Oranges its just my Opinion but you cant deni that the 975 is one of the more mature chipsets so at this point I myself cant report anything but negative experiences on my end but as I also initially stated they O.C very easily so it does have that going for it sop I will see whats up with the EVGA 680i A1 and quite possibly retract my initial statement.
@gdogg.....thanks for the vote of confidence.
AM2+ is DDR2 only sockett, AM3 is DDR3 sockett.
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...=143068&page=5
R600 + K10 + RD790+
yeah ^^
Umm...I don't to be truthful but that won't be a concern for me as the 2 Barcelona Quad Core's will be going into a Dual Socket F Server board and after a little while I will get something on the entheusiast end.
To answer you're question or remark the answer is yes I prefer AMD over Intel any day of the week as their is a more fluent and natural feel to AMD vs Intel Platform but thats due to the memory controller placement.
I have had numerous Intel System's in the past and a few AMD systems so I can make my own direct comparison as to which I prefer and for me its AMD before Intel.
The reason why I see people are more sure an amd will overclock w/o hassles is, the IMC and HT, they both make it so motherboard manufacturers have very little left to do.
But you go from a64 to conroe, then you got a north bridge that needs to stable, fsb straps, fsb clocks, then the worst part heat :woot: .
Its very easy why someone would be confident with a board, that leaves only the southbridge left to make right lol.
But the IMC can also stop some overclocks in there tracks, as it clocks with the processor.
Ya, you are 100% correct on that gdogg but to me something about the way Intel responds vs AMD eh kinda hard to eplain but its almost like the way sata drives felt in use when they first became mainstream it was almost a unatural feel compared to a fast Pata drive but thats not the case now at least the high capacity ones anyhow. I guess for me its just a personal hang up between AMD and Intel
LOL.....PROZACTLY!!!!
Why bother with that its just a rebranded 939 carry over anyway!
Oh my bad forgot the extra pin:rolleyes:
heh! Paired with proper budget memory (like crucial D9GMH ;) ) it is a very nice platform ...
And for me at least, overclocking on AM2 is simpler than on 939, mostly due to better scaling of DDR2 memory, but also you can't buy older CPU revisions for this socket (which is good).
Back on topic: /speculation mode on/ What if this surprise Kombatant was talking somewhere is Barcelona first real word benchmark together with R600??/speculation mode of/
Ahem: My friend, I would love to have you drop by my house and I can show you first hand what an Intel system will do.:D
That's an open invitation at your convienience.
Now I do suggest just one small thing: Bring a change of shorts or two as you will wet yourself when you see this in action.;)
Hey David & Good Morning Lad
You are on server platform correct? And you are doing what Clovertown chip?
Hopefully I will get a good shake at whats what with the EVGA board I hope!
@Lightman.....Yes I know its very nice I have built a couple D.F.I N590 systems and I like them very much indeed! I was just joking on his joke is all/
Couldn't this just be some sweepstakes for when R600 is comming out, and the "Comming Soon" is referring to when you can enter the sweepstakes, rather than it being R600 + K10 + AM2+ release comming soon.
Seems much more likely that its some sweepstakes than K10\AM2+ launch.
I really hope AMD starts selling directly to the consumer. This market is evergrowing, and AMD needs to do everything they can to gain back control of this market.
AMD needs to make their numbers look much better for next quarter, and maybe this is one way they can do that...that would be awesome IMHO.
lol come on, its very noticable coming from a opty 165 @2.6Ghz with ddr 530 2-2-2-4 timings. Making a e6600 3.6Ghz and 1600FSB did very little to help this.
If you want to see a really big diff, in the seconds, just tax the intel , and tax the amd, then open a browser, or play music.
Test done.
dang it people can't there be a thread about one CPU mfr and something they are offering without the other getting shoved in? Yes, we all know the C2D is more powerful than the A64 already....
Please, back on topic, which is AMD's "get all 3" thing.
I would feel so special having three chips from AMD in my machine. I'm guessing CPU, mobo, graphics.
Or would that be more like 5 or 6?
So we get 3 2nd rate products all at once? I Suppose its nice for budget gaming systems.
I wouldn't  so fast. That wasn't a performance knock. AMD bundles usually suck.
If it's a contest or marketing deal, I predict 2600 AT BEST, with a lower tier ASUS mobo, and a 4400+ or something similarly lame. I hope it's something cool, but I wouldn't bet money on it.
Hmmm, hope AMD is not going to bundle R600 with CPU+Mobo combo? :stick:
I hope someone sticks a 'kin BAN on two certain spammers who have been warned more than once, I am getting very tired of their crap
What mobo this .....
http://hardocp.com/image.html?image=...NfMV8xX2wuanBn
Maybe its just an ad touting the results of the merger.
AMD Hammerhead RD790 reference mobo... rumour has it they will sell the boards directly to customers to minimise time to market (just like nVidia did with the nF680i).
If they release this mobo soon I'd love to buy one and stick an X2 in to keep it warm until Phenom comes along ;)
i will wait till the best board emerges , thenill get that
like P5B DLX for conroe for non SLI, and EVGA 680i A1 for SLI (yes SOME as in high percentage of AR board DO HAVE 2.4v problem ...) , RD600 for CF ....
Here are some more pictures of AMD's board.
I would like to buy this one.

They Look nice.

In the first on in the second link, is that quad crossfire?
SO what type of processor to be bundled?
The native quad core? They already add quadcore folder on their site..
http://multicore.amd.com/us-en/quadcore/
is it real? anytime soon? :nono:
^ I hope it is sooner than later
Just been playing with the lowly Brisbane x2 3600+ and I cant get over how responsive the whole system feels after using Conroe since release
Is someone aware about the disclosure date to it?
BUMP.
It's up. Nothing new..
http://ati.amd.com/buy/promotions/amdgetall3/index.html
Yes, nothing new, nothing spectacular. Just I am missing the point of their advertising? Are they going to give a discount or what?
Meh. I'll remain an Intel fanboy until Barcelona is released.
