WR X6800 at 5717MHz!

After whole weekend of playing with LN2 a couple of CPUs and mobos, I kinda unexpectedly achieve highest frequency with X6800. It was done on P5W64 WS Pro at 1.92v and pot temp at -155°C.
This CPU has amazing cold tolerance, on 1st day it could run and boot at -158 pot temperature, with perfect contact, temp in bios was -125°C and we all know that this mobo shows temp +15° in comparison to other mobos.
Sadly, but true, on the sesion, when WR was achieved, CPU couldn't calculate Spi 1M at 5300MHz, no mater what. I tried suicide screen when I gave up on SPi and I was just shocked, that's why i named thist CPU a Mutant CPU.

So the best Spi 1M run with this CPU was done a day before, at 5345 and pathetic 411 FSB and ram at 4-4-4-12 822MHz. At that time I was just trying CPU, so I didn't bother to do a proper screen, optimized run. I had to stop the sesion, cause mobo won't go over 420FSB (FFS) and 14 multi didn't work. I was using 304 bios, 402 fixed multi bug, and FSB went up when i switched PCI-E graphic card for PCI. And very saddly, after that I couldn't do another Spi 1M over 5300MHz, so that is my best Spi 1M run :mad: .

Also, I have tried E6700 on P5B Dlx, nothing special, i was able to do a cpuz verification at 5302Mhz. I will try the CPU on Commando next time, hope for the WR.

did u check both cores temps during spi run? maybe some ihs fitting issue you ve and removing ihs may help spi run at higher freq.

Nicke^ i think the reason why video was asked off OPB was because he was suspected of cheating that SuperPI run......i don't think anyone's raised any doubts about this unless you have something to add here

OPB was accused of cheating with some pretty damning evidence against him and coolaler.....both of them chose to ignore that didn't they......

there is a difference there plus he will eventually bench the CPU and we'll know where he's at.............there clearly has to be a bit of understanding here between people and for those who are planning to cheat they now know that all of our results are analysed and that in the end they will get caught.....Kevin chose not to debate whereas Pedro Rocha did for example.......you can't just put it aside and expect people to forget

anyway i think Nickei's post is hypocritical as he manages a W.R. database and is giving special instruction to one bencher because he personally has something against him

Sorry about the Superi run, at 5.7GHz you might expect sub 9 second easy i guess.

1.92v nice, but why dont you push it w/ 1.97-99v ?
my p5w dh stopped @ 2.0v (win crash, restart and no signal only if I cut down the vcore), I think all mobo do the same, so you have the chance to 5.8 or more, who knows :cool:

more volts is not always better, we tried more volts to, but it didn't help
I am quite sure that 5800 is possible, the CPU is not even lapped, but I will not do any benching with this cpu anymore.

AFAIK windows just don't recognize L2, only thing you can do with L2 is to enable it.

Even though IMO it may make a difference if you lapped it.

Could have made a good 5.5+ Ghz benching chip, which is hella rare, and the key to smashing WRs around the globe (with 2x 88GTX or CF? I dunno).

And you are on 975x there, hell of a advantage over those with P5B-Dx.

Usually we use ripping.org or hwbot.org for world records

RAM is hardly of any importance, but if you want to know it was GoodRAM DDR2 800

ripping.org is very good overclocking database, they update very quickly

the wr-thread here is outdated since month, but no mod delete it....
