  :slobber:
Either I forgot how good it looks from last trailer I saw.. or just plain..
just wow :slobber:
holy dog, that's gorgeous...
That's worth the upgrade.
Ryan
looking good
Very nice! Looks like I might upgrade my video card earlier than I thought. I'll wait to see how ATI's DX10 offering is :D
damn..
Do I really need vista:(
XSOS anyone? Must....not....buy...8800gtx.....need....dx10 card
Seriously though, XSOS (v3) is going to support dx10.
sex
The cars and their special effects are not on the level with the rest of the game. Still it looks nice.
WOW
i think i'm going to use my tax return money on a new 8800GTX :D
you and me both. :)
Ryan
Nice.
The alien mothership section looks like it'll be pretty kickass.

Awesome stuff. :)
Definitely looks a hell lot better than the demo I saw at CES in Intel's booth.
my 7800gt began to cry while i watched this trailer hehe :D
Hmm i really wanna mess around in that game..
Wish i had a play computer again..
Good thing we have some time to buy hardware until its being released.
Looks brillliant. Not just the graphics, but he game looks great. The tank bit looked pretty cool, and the aliens and weapons look great as well.
Crysis is gonna be amazing when it comes out.
No, the industry isn't going to leave XP for at least 2 years according to everything I've read. And since xsos and vista are the same thing, that won't help you out much either.Quote:

Damm
I was wondering if I should hold up an upgrade to a C2D chip and having seen that trailer I think my mind has been made up.
Looks like the time has come to do something and start to get my act together with regards to getting those parts that I need.
Any idea what hardware they used? Lookin very fluid, high rez and zero lagg.
Huh. Since when have shooters been CPU dependent. I seriously doubt a Dual core AMD at 2800Mhz will struggle. It's all about the GPU.Quote:

It does indeed look great. Was pretty sceptic after i saw some trailers some time ago, but this looks really great.
just awesome... :slobber:
btw, I hope the nanosuite mode-switching can be key-bound.
Weren’t PS3 games suppose to be looking like this ???
Those games aren't out yet :(Quote:

p.s. that HALO jump looked awesome! I hope we're allowed to do that in real time, and not as part of a cut-scene.
any idea why those enemy physics still looks like crash dummies flyin thru the air? what about more realistic body physics there..
Damn, this game looks better with every new video.

Agreed. Has been that way for a long time. If it was all about the GPU then we would see C2D rigs getting same scores as AM2 rigs....Quote:

My card is cutting its wrists... the 6800gs is nearing the end of his useful life.
Ryan
agreed ...and if there are consoles out with dx10-features, the pc user will have dx11. in short: pc always pwnz consoles. period :DQuote:

Incredible.
One thing though. The interior of the truck. Looks very 2D. Bleh. So many games neglect that.
My bad I should have said: I have read from some of the biggest names in the industry (who know more than you) that XP will still be going strong for 2 to 3 more years at least.Quote:

Slightly more on topic, the way they release so little information other than "DX10 trailer" is retarded. If you're going to talk hardware, give real information, otherwise it's a lame sales pitch.
Well that's some gorgeous effects !!
Links dead :( :cry:Quote:

No, Crysis does not require Vista, and WILL run quite well on a high-end DX9c configuration... But to get the graphics we've just seen in this vid.... Yes, I'm afraid... But look at it this way: You can cut your expenses in half by using XSOS :toast:Quote:

O....M....G....
I'll join the club...my 7900GTX+ speeds 7900GT is crying away.....
Is XSOS something that I can easily install over my win xp install?
OOooooh more sweet graphics that I got to wait for another 5 months for to see it on my system doh.
The great thing about Far Cry was the open game play, it was not A to B and some of the levels were massive which meant you could play the single player about half a dozen different ways
Hope they have done that again with physics and graphics so it puts up a new goal post for other developers to follow.
Carmark, Sweeney and crews really need to look and listen.
Regards
Andy
The snow looked really sweet. But I have to agree, the car details weren't up to par with the rest of the game.
Can't wait until it release, anyone guess when its out , end of year or 3 to 6 months ???

I made this new PC for oblivion, looks like its time to move on to bigger and better parts..
I know this will run sweet on one GTX, but do you guys think it will be necessary to buy a SLI board and a Kentsfield for this game?
I know the way oblviion rapes this pc as it is, I hope this game isnt as demanding..
i too bought a 1900xt for oblivion, anyone want it, it looks like this game will eat that card alive.
Anybody know what hardware they're running to make it look that good?
Right close to the end...the subtle motion blurring...mmmmm.
I too bought my X19 for Oblivion, then the 88 for Oblivion...screwed it up w/ all the texture overhaul packs and now wait for the 98/r700 to run Oblivion. It's the game that won't die!
The graphics are truly ground breaking no doubt, but what drew me to the first game was the gameplay. I hope this game will offer the same kind of experiance.
I have 1 thing to say: :eek2:
Well, OK, two things: Look at my sig. That is the rig I am almost done building, as of right now. This game...hmm, even with another 8800GTX, I am not sure it will have the "go" to run this game...$4000 worth of silicon going to be useless in 6 months... :brick:
Still though, its amazing. Hope it ends up being that cimematic in the flesh!
I belive you have a 8800GTX not a 6800 :)
I think i just peed myself.....anyway i think my 3000 will bottleneck an X2800XT, but i'm still getting one:cool:
Tbh it has got to run fine on your rig, otherwise the actual market that can play this game is tiny, so your rig certainly isnt useless (i'll gladly take it off your hands if you think it is :p:)Quote:

Still dont know what hardware they were playing that on, i am guessing that it is pretty high end, but based on stuff available now, so that should mean with our overclocked rigs we should be able to do pretty well. (that's what im hoping anyway :p:)
G
I am just talking about running in maximum details, if you watch the interview they say that this game should play fine on three year old hardware.
Problem fixed. I noticed it last night, and "fixed it", but for some reason it didnt actually UPDATE my sig. Hmm...GG? :toast:Quote:
