I hope mine clock that well!
I went ahead and ordered a set for my alt rig. 6 Left!
Ordered :slobber:
Just ordered my set as well. I was going to wait a little longer till I had money for my new proc and mobo, but this was too great to pass up. To bad my L624 E6400 isn't good enough for testing high fsb.
you are all lucky to have bought the chips.. waaa.. :( I can't order at the egg.. it doesn't deliver internationally.. :(
All gone:)
:( i was going to order a set
WOOT!!! :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot: :woot:Quote:

lol that person probably bought the ballistix 8000's for ~10 more
much better deal.
damn
hey Nemesis don't tell me you bought all of them :D
Are those Ballistix D9GKX?Quote:

No, not any actually. I've got two kits of G. Skill HZ's that both do ddr2-1000 4-4-4-12 2.2v. My 10th anniversary crucial do the same, as well as 3-3-3-8 DDR2-800 2.35v. Not to mention the Corsair 8000UL's & 6400C3's. I've had more kits than these, but I bought all of these @ good prices so I unloaded the others with equal or less performance. The price of ram is crazy. I'm not paying over what I paid for a 2 GB kit of corsair 6400C3's last year & I have yet to see a kit touch 'em without paying over $400.Quote:

If you missed out this is also a killer deal

Haha, yeah that was me. I cancelled on the Crucial 10s for the Ballistix Tracers. ;)Quote:

Heh, I might cancel the 10th anniversary sticks for the Tracers. I'm willing to bet it's the same bin D9, but you never know, the Tracer is their best RAM. When I get a chance over my lunch break, if the 10th Anniversary hasn't shipped I'll switch to Tracer. The only thing holding me back is that they charged the credit card immediately, how quickly do they charge back?
At this point I think the tracers are a better buy and if you decide to selling them later down the road you might be able to get more out of the tracer than the 10th Anniversary specially in non Overclocking Market or even Ebay. As returning your money, Newegg is one of the best. Anf finally, yes, I do beleive they are the same high binned ICs.Quote:

Well the 10th Anniversary have been taken off from Newegg's inventory already.......:slapass: I just think to a regular Joe PC2 8000 would look more appealing that PC2 5300.Quote:

Well, there is a way to return it w/o the 15% restocking fee. Simply refuse the package....I know this because I've done it before.Quote:

Seriously. I just missed two great memory sales. This and the Pc8000 Ballistix tracers.Quote:

The thing about Crucial is I believe their manufacturing consistency is pretty good. So even their worst D9MGH is close percentage % -wise to their top D9MGH.Quote:

I assume that D9MGH bin is pretty narrow. I mean I really haven't seen a poor performing D9MGH. Sure some are better than others, but they are all pretty close. I'm thinking PCB/heatspreader design (like the dominators) are mattering more than bin differences in D9MGH.
P.S. Aren't you the man sitting on a stockpile on Micron who was going to do somekind of shootout? I would be very interested in seeing your results.
lol for real... sig says 25 gigs... that's 2.5 more than i have...Quote:

lol, I didn't even see his sig. I just remember him saying he was going to do a comparo or something.Quote:

Well come to think of it....There may be some ICs in D9MGH that fall close to D9CGT and some that fall close to D9GKX. But the majority seem right in the middle. One reason I think D9GKX is so rare is because most of their D9 production is pretty consistent for hitting the "middle".

ok still one left, I cancelled lol. From the results they are pretty much the same thing as Tracers. I thought it could do something like 625-650 @ cas4 and 660-680 @ cas5, now that would be impressive. Tracers can do cas4 @ 600 and cas3 @ 500 with 16mb spi as well. :)

I don't see why you guys moan about the new 10th price.. isn't it THEIR party time ? LOL we, the old guard, had ours .. ( thx to NicePun)
P.S beats me how ANY mem is run at 3-4-3-4 @500 .
Back in stock, but only 10 kits. However, they are still $269.99 Shipped and with so many other choices out there you'll be paying for popularity.
You guys think the 10ths are better than my alphas?
i just like the spreaders.
the good thing about earlier vx2 is that they are GKX
while 10th is GMH.
anyone know hat seems to be the max vdimm on these for long term 24/7 use...I need about 2.23 v in bios setting=2.25 bios reading to hit 500mhz
running 400@2.0v
i'd disagree with that statement. While i've tested only 1 set of 10th aniv, i have tested 5+ sets of ballistix 8000.
Ballistix 8000 seem to base out at 570 4-4-4-5 w/ tight subtimings on 2.45Vdimm. Better sets do 580+
The 10th anivs seem to come just under that 570 mark.
While both are GOOD, I would take the ballistix 8000 for 260.
i bought them when the first came out.
and i sold it for the same i got it.
the guy who bought it then went ahead and did 1200 with cas 5 or something.
good stuff.
i dunno if its still GMH right now though. but probability wise. it would be.
after selling i moved onto gskill 8000hz . GKX does a bit better then GMH. worth it =]
if you owned both ballistix and 10th before
(i did)
physically look exactly the same. down to the black pcb.
what voltages are ok..prior to see a slow or even rapid death..Crucial will states max is 2.2v
I'd say the 10th anniversary set is really great. I've clocked them as high as 1300mhz@5-5-5-15 with 2.35v.
And once I get a couple of fans to put ontop of them, I believe I easily will get even further.
And I know I'm not the only one who have clocked these sticks rather far.
2 kits back in stock and still $269.99!
With the recent price drops, i feel its not a good deal.
