What are the internals like? Any pics?
is this that block by NorthWizard everybody here on XS was trashing a couple weeks ago?
Looks rather similar...
I was just curious to know if anyone knew more about it.... not trashing nor endorsing it.
you can kinda see pins or something under the inlet in the mechanical drawing...
kinda looks like a modified version of the Swiftech 600x series
Yea I heard about this couple weeks ago from Petra. It looks like he just finished it. The design looks less restrictive than a storm and more quality than the apogee. I'd be interested to find out how it performs.
well if I find another $35 worth of stuff I need at D-Tek I'll place an order for one with the free shipping. I just got all my stuff though- I'm hard pressed to come up with another $35 of stuff I NEED to justify placing annorder.

I just figured out if I buy the Fuzion I can also buy a gift certificate for the balance of the $100 and still get the free shipping. Is it worth a try over a MP-05 SP LE??
Just filled my cart and placed my order.......... we'll see the results soon. Anybody want one for the advertised price on the website?? I just ordered two of them.Quote:

What the hell I ordered one too. I've been looking for a less restrictive block for awhile. This looks really good for future quad core setup as well.
what would be cool is to see the inlet in the middle (as it is), and have four outlets-the design of the block is such that the copper plate may be rotated in any way, so why not allow the water to exit evenly across the copper plate? Yes, it would cause a mess tubing-wise, but hey, if you're xtreme you won't care :)
Would kill flow to...
And honestly, how many people would BUY a 5 barb waterblock?
You'd need three Y adapters :p:
What a mess.... I hated one with my WW.Quote:

two outlets anyways.
If you resized the outlets you could do 4, but these guys complain a bit sometimes so dont mention doing it until after its done ;)
From the looks of the one picture, and the fact that they say the use a mid plate, i think its somewhat like the storm rev 2 in that it already incorporates an internal 4 outlet to 1 outlet design. The top down view it appears that the outlet that the barb is directly over is very small, if there are 4 small outlets like that directly over those 4 corners then internally routed back to the single barb it would basically be a 4 outlet block. Have to see some pics of the mid plate.Quote:

mmm interesting, nice looking block. i'll thing that i will wait what swiftech can conjure up.
untill i make any desions. now somebody give us the numbers
Somebody tell me the top is made of Delrin please..
It sure doesn't look like machined Delrin, it ain't frikkin alu is it?
edit: never mind>Quote:
Black Delrin Top with brass threaded inserts embedded for durability and lightweight construction
That block does look nice.
Will be interesting to see what Swiftech has to offer at CES.
Nice to see that there are a couple of new blocks out right now. Hopefully they really perform what they are advertised for.
I'm really curious to see if there's the possibility to mount a accelerator plate like Mp05.... If the first ownerss could post some pics of the various pieces i really appreciate....
But i think that Mp05 remains the king....
Careful there, you CAN NOT compare C/W's from different test beds, they will not have any relationship. Only C/W's from the SAME test bed will have any meaning.Quote:

That is a very interesting looking block. I would like to see a comparison done by FCG. :toast:

Is this available anywhere in the UK yet? I`d give it a try if i could find it.
Just as a warning.... If you order one, get yourself another pair of high flow fittings. See this post by me...

Nah, forget about DD barbs alltogether, just install some EK barbs. :D
Man, the more i look at that block the more i like it. :slobber:
hah, the return of the 6002 (well ,sorta) makes me happy :)
While the machine work looks great, I don't see why this block would work any better than what’s available today. I haven’t seen the interior of the delrin top, but unless there’s something special there, I see no reason why water wouldn’t just flow from the center to the one corner with the outlet.
But who knows...the top maybe be designed with different size holes at the corners, or some other pressure balancing process to insure a constant and even flow at each corner.
No. In reference to the Swiftech challenge, he said that the latest prototype wouldn't be ready on time. The picture you saw was a design that someone here threw together as a direct-die solution, and was not his block. His block looks different.Quote:

FuZion looks kinda like what MCW6002's successor could have looked like.

I'm looking forward to a Apogee vs. FuZion test!
I'm somewhat interested, but as I've stated elsewhere, i'll probably make my own, seeing as the prices are nigh on insane compared to manufacturing costs. I do a lot of DIY stuff anywho, it's well time I did something like this.
I'll do a comparison of Load temps of the FuZion vs. the MP-05 SP LE I have now.
I can't start it for about a week till my case cover is done and the FuZion arrives.
When the FuZion arrives could you make some photo of the delrin top please?Quote:

Personally, I'm wondering about the overall build quality (as I don't know much about D-Tek) and how well-sealed these blocks are.
They could really be an apogee killer if they are as good quality as they look.
Can't wait for some results!
D-Tek is quite good, quality wise. They've been around since the beginning of K7, making really good waterblocks back then.
Ah, good to know. I've heard a lot of positive things about them, but never owned one of their block or ordered from them. Perhaps if this block is as good as I'm hoping it is it will be my first D-Tek order.
I may have to give one a try. I have an Antarctica at the moment. Temps seem good on it. uGuru says 29C, while CoreTemp says 35C. I have it in a loop with a BIXPro 120 and nothing else. I am hoping to get something better without a Y.
When is the G7 coming out?
I think that was more of a concept than a reality. The storm design cannot be improved much more, so the G7 would probably be cost-inefficient compared to the G4.
i know cathar made at least one G7, maybe 2. There were no plans for a true production run, as not many people can drop 300+ bucks on a waterblock and the gains over the G5 didn't merit the extra 100+ bucks.
As for you upstate-NYers, i'm just outside of rochester as well, also to the east ;)
I have contacted D-TEK with a request for a block for review. We'll see if they respond. :)

We'll have it done before they will;)Quote:

nice block. can't wait to give it a go !!
:woot:
I will have one tomorrow :D
What'd you do?? Have it overnighted. Everyone has been closed since Friday when it came out on their site. What's your order# ? Mine is 6389.Quote:

Ordered mine. Won't have it for a while since UPS ground is slow as balls :(
Not to mention D-Tek takes their time on shipping orders out. My last two orders took two days to process before they shipped them out..... what a crock on their shipping policies:mad:Quote:

I received an email from them today. They say it's both higher performance and lower restriction than the MP-05 SP LE.
Can't wait for those results; my SP LE may be living on borrowed time :D
Same here... and I just bought mine a few months ago:stick:Quote:

Nice block . I like the 4 outlet ports That merge into 1 in the Drelin injection molded top. Well made great machining High flow. Very good design . Its to bad about the 1 single out let being over 1 of the 4 block outlets. They just missed it. Someone must have patented the 4-2-1 ahead of them. Vortec
looking forward to your review of the block nikhsub1
:toast:
Yeah wow that is also what I thought at first, that it looked real similar to Northwizard's block.
now... this is interesting... what will they improve upon next?
It's hard to say how this will turn out, or if I even want it to, I'm feeling more and more out of date.
It's hard to keep up. Just find something you're happy with and drive it for a year. When it starts leaking oil....... dump it for something new;)Quote:

If you take a look at post 8 . You will see in the 3 rd pic a drawing. If you look into the outlet port you can see 1 of the 4 block outlets.Quote:

Its to bad its an easy fix . But the fix has been patented. There is however another way to get the effect that D-tek was after . For a small fee I could help them.
nikhsub1, any word yet on quality? care to show a pic of the different plates?
cant wait to see your results
Well, I placed an order for that D-tek cpu block. Shipping cost is a rip off. After two days after I placed that order, that order didn't make any progress. I cancel it, by the time dtek gets out at slow ass ups delievers it, swiftech blocks will be out.
They are SLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWW!!!Quote:

They'd be awesome if their shipping department got their head out of their a$$.
Who was it here that knows Danny?? Tell him to step up to the plate on the timely-ness of orders going out:stick: It's not like they're swamped with orders.... I made an order on 12/4 that was order # 6379..... then on the 30th I made another order... that was # 6389. A paltry 10 orders in 26 days. They should be shipping orders out the day BEFORE they are placed!!
My order was 6393 so if you placed yours before me, It would mean that they don't get many orders and should be able to handle orders at ease
Interesting thing about shipping, waterblock doesn't weigh more than 2lbs and shipping comes out like this ups ground $11, ups 3 day select $16. For $16 I can get case shipped from newegg with ups 3 day select.
We're pretty much in agreement here..... slow shipping- and EXPENSIVE shipping.Quote:

Really interested to see the underside of the delrin top, since like many have said the pictures show quite a bit of potentially wasted efficiency.Quote:

I told exactly the same to a friend of mine, when i saw the block for the first time!:toast:
