What is the new? Jump from 0804?
Isn't there an official site we can get it from?
Anyone tested this?
804 being there latest at Asus so i take it this is a beta?
Not different than 0908
max fsb 580 for me.
1x pcie issue is still there when 1.65v mch.
So if im already using the 0908beta, I shouldn't even bother with this one?
I just noticed that Bios 0804, Cpu-Z or something is reading my memory wrong.
It gets reported as 6400 instead of PC8000.
Does anyone know if this is Bios issue?
I guess I will flash 0910 and find out.
So what are the improvements over the 0804 bios?
I think non:(
8800GTX seems to be less slugish while browsing BIOS options
That's a really nice fix! I'll try it... :)Quote:

I'll test number 3 after I've tested 2 CPUs... this is a very loooong day for me :(
I stick with 0804. I dont see (m)any important fixes in changelogs, so I'll wait till asus releases an official bios.
Where are the changelogs?
the Q-FAN won't work on 0910:slapass:
Hey, if ain't broke don't fix it.
Q-Fan works well with 0910. Just do a CLRCMOS after flashing.
Anyway, a bug shown with 0908/0906/0804 is that P5B's can't read negative temperatures below -4°C.
guys i need help.....i flashed with this bios and now the PC is looking for cd/floppy/usb drive in order to recover the bios cause it messed up.
i have no floppy on my macbook so i can't load the bios on floppy.
no thumb drive at the moment either.
but i loaded afudos, 0804 and some windows bootdisk files and it keeps saying reading cd-rom and cannot find P5BD.ROM even after i renamed the bios file to that.
can someone please hook me up with all the files i need to get to recover and upload it so that i can burn it off on a CD which is the only option i have at the moment.
i don't have the mobo CD which should have the recovery files i need.
please help me out.....thanks in advance.
Heh, well on my P5B it's -13°C with BIOS 0804. My QX6700 is @ -13°C in the BIOS all the time, regardless whether it's @ default speed and voltage or @ 4.2+ Ghz and 1.700V.... :rolleyes:Quote:

SAME AS ELISHA HERE!
Bios 910 seems to be FAKE! I never had this problem before. I tried other bios versions like 908, 804, etc sucessfully.
Be carefull!!!!
fake?what do u mean by that?lol
I'm trying to say that this bios didn't work with my P5B-Deluxe WiFi.
so you're saying your mobo is dead and the bios killed it?Quote:

Let me know if it worked.. If it doesnt I can add more files :toast:
īLotzi try going back to the 804 from the 0908 or 0910 :fact:
says reading file P5BD.ROM from CD-Rom and then it says P5BD.Rom not found on CD-Rom.......looks like it needs more files from the CD.
is it possible that it needs more files from the CD?
because without the CD it says CD-Rom not found.
i get the same error message with my custom CDs as well with renames 0804 and afudos.exe in it.

yep....extracted its content and burned it on a CD.
it seems to be looking for something else as well but not sure what.
maybe some startup files and not just the bios files.
someone pls hook me up with the entire content of the CD pls......i'm not sure the local PC shop would let me copy one off their retail stock.
Bios works fine here, system seems to run a little better in games, clocks are the same.
So is this new bios a fake? Where's the change log?

It's real, just seems to be kinda buggy...but then again, it's a beta. Unfortunately we don't have a changelog, so no one even knows what changes it's employed.Quote:

Me too. I flashed others beta bios before without any problem.
"all people who flashed 0910 are happy and works fine"
No, I'm not. I recovered from bootblock.
Back to 908!
Anybody get to the bottom of this temp reading issue? I have my QX6700 on P5B Deluxe, just added Vapochill LS. LS reads -32c on evap, but bios and Speedfan always read -4c. Probe is really borked, always reads 252c, so I really don't know what my core temps really are.Quote:

I just flashed to 910 with no problems. I see no difference in Oc or stability over 0908.
same here, no changes.

The vapochill temp reading is obviosly just the evaporator temp. The core temp may be closest to the bios reading. Pay no attention to any other reading except a couple of apps may report a minus temp closer to the bios incl MBM5 and maybe Everest in some versions. I have a vapo LS on a highly overclocked X6800 at 1.6v and my evap temps start at -48 deg and bios in the - 30's, so you may want to check your unit. Those evap temps seem high. Then again I see you have a Q, so maybe not.Quote:

What bios are you using?? I know that the LS temp is the darn evap temp. The point is that the bios and everything that uses it to read out temps shows -4c, and it doesn't change whether under full or no load, so it obviously isn't correct. How can I get the correct core temps? I have read in other threads that some of the bios's lock up at -4c at anything under 0.Quote:

MBM5 shows -32-34 deg also. TAT shows both cpu's at +2deg each. My vapochill CC utility OSD in my system tray shows -48 deg, same as the vapo lcd. The speedfan and MBM temp readings for the combined cores does fluxuate with load, so it's probably the closest to actual that you will be able to monitor without using a digital probe. Als the bios will read and vary after a while in the minus 30's temp if I go into the bios under hardware monitor and watch it for a while. This seems in line with the MBM and Speedfan readings.
Same here. Bios, speedfan and MBM5 show subzero temps. Probe reads 255 for 0 and you have to count down from there, TAT and coretemp are fixed at +8 in me case.
What I don't get is if MBm5, a program that hasn't been updated in years can read minus temps on the cpu, then uh h h . . . what is missing in this picture?
How did you get your hand on SF 4.32b ? :)

i sthe jmicron connector just the single one near the back of the board?
Yes, the JMicron controller (JMB363) controls the single SATA port near the back of the board and the single PATA/IDE connector.Quote:

I don't see how else they could change boot strap without doing that.
Since nobody was willing to give a simple yes or no... I decided to upgrade from 0804 to 0910. I'm glad to say that 0910 upgrades the JMicron bios to 1.06.59. Now I can finally use grub to dual boot: linux from a SATA drive connected to SATA1 (ICH8) and windows on an IDE slave drive off the JMB363 controller. :banana:Quote:

The update utility for windows has an option tab where you can select a checkbox named "BIOS Downgradeable". Afterwards you may flash 0711 again.Quote:

You can get the 0910 bios from Asus themselves. They just put it on their website but it's kinda hard to get to so I hosted it on my website so you guys can dl it faster.
