Is there eny information of DFI RD600 MB?
Carefull, most of the other RD600 threads were, locked/closed.....
Seems to be a "ask no questions/tell no lies" thing....
I hope i'm wrong...:stick:
the other thread was locked because of some trolls. Mainly just flaming.
Gary Key of anandtech was answering a bunch of questions about it. Well as much as he could with the NDA. The BIOS is supposed to be finalizing now or very soon. So I guess a week or two for the major sites to start to preview the DFI RD600. Retail probably quickly after that. Atleast they are taking their time with the BIOS and not putting out a crap product. The expectations are extremely high for this board.

One of the mods was being constantly embarrassed because he couldn't permanently ban offenders
not to carry on with this thread but, although this is 100% speculation.
no one, outside of 1 guy here has had any info or seen any of the RD600 boards. (and gary too, that man has all kinds of info)
i have a feeling its 1 of 2 things
1)
ATI/AMD is having a hell of a time with the intel version of the RD600 and thus is not releasing any info. i mean lets be serious, when was the last time you read A N Y T H I N G official on the Intel RD600 chipset. ???
when was it ? this past summer? maybe prior to summer ?
now a few weeks ago there was some word form the industry on the AMD version of the RD600, it went by a different name but it seemed to be more official.
no one, and i mean no ne has any true legitimate information on this chipset.
2)
The NDA on the RD600 is tighter than,, well you know what, and anyone caught talking about or releasing information on the Intel version of the RD600 is subject to some very bad reprocussions.
i for one think its both, but possibly more so the first. if it was going to be a success, then they would be talking.
also, since AMD took over they very well may just have closed the door on creating an intel based RD600 chipset.
who knows.
There is not much to tell, DFI are finalizing the bios and waiting for the NB cooler and then the boards are good to go i hear.
There have been delays yes...I still think we will see it this month though.
I will find out more next week.

Talking bout them rumours :) Man i just wish they released a little bit of info. Im not good @ waiting and have 250 euros itching in my wallet for a motherboard.Bought the evga 680i and returned it 2 days after that, and now motherboardless :( only a laptop to browse. Come on DFI throw me a bone, and ill hold out on my purchase. :slap:
I wonder what cooling is going to be used? I hope it's not include a fan. :stick:
:D Haha - more like "don't ask for the truth"..............:nono:Quote:

It's probably best that they take their time (within reason) to get everything right and release a mobo that has no/few glitches and problems instead of rushing it to the market. I remember how I waited for the Asus A8N32-SLi only to get a half finished product in my hands. The A8N-Sli Premium is in many ways still the better board so it was a wast of time and I really got nothing for it but many sleepless nights. :(
I hope that this wait isn't a waste also. Many rumours are positive so I hope this wait will have a happy ending. :toast:
Sounds to me like this isnt going to be widescale retail till next year, maybe I can buy it at the same time as an e4300.
I dont expect it to be any better then 680i just cheaper hopefully
From that thread

I called DFI Sales in California today. The woman I spoke to said the board will be available in December, but she had no specific date.

December 30th lol :/ yucky
Is this board still going to have that crapy northbridge heatsink fixture?
Cheap and cheerfull is probably best, let people who want to spend more customise it. Would a heatpipe actually help overclock it more?
 Chances are as hi as ELVIS is still alive.............. :slapass:Quote:

well we're not THAT lucky, me thinks more like 15th December or such...
but it's great news anyway :D
i don't believe the board will be available in 15 December
With recent BIOS improvements and boards reaching 500fsb I see no use to trade the board for this DFI that "might be avaliable". They pushed it too far back and lost the market.
Yeah, the only chance DFI has is to lift this stupid NDA and give us results that will keep up from looking over this board.:slap: Small bits of information will not keep my attention much longer.:nono: I do hope however that the board will be good.:toast:
I for one am still hanging on for the DFI RD600. Mainly because the 680i is far too expensive, if it was £100 or less I'd be all over it.
mee tooQuote:

This delay is a good thing. At least they are not using us as beta testers like Asus. This is a good thing...right? Anyone agreeing with me here?
yeah i agree with you.I ordered an evga nvidia 680i board just to mess with until this golden board comes out.Hopefully gonna be the last board i buyQuote:

Read this thread over at the Anadtech Forums. Page 3.Quote:

I'm loving the NB/SB/Mosfet cooling, passive and sexy!
:toast:
Sweet, loving the digital PWM too! No annoying heatpipes either! Thank you DFI :toast:
That board claims to be the "-X3200 Intel".
Would it be safe to assume that means RDX3200? Is that just the official title of the R600?
Dude, it reads as "ICFX-3200 Intel". Blame the massive NB heatsink for covering that up... from that angle though.Quote:

Hmmm, very interesting. This board is no longer showing up on Zip Zoom Fly's website.
...I think post indicator is on the wrong place... But It`s beautiful mobo...
haha i counted 8 fan headers. unbelieveable!
Has DFI skimped on anything with this board? It looks like it's top notch!
are u sure those are fan headers, the two closest to the pci-x slots look like 4 pin fdd power connectors like on the ultra-d, kinda funny since alot of new PSUs come with 1 fdd connector........lol i hope we dont get again "you need all power connectors pluged in" from DFI like with the nf4 lp series
The only issue I see, as far as layout goes, is how close the first PCI-E slot is to the ram clips. Seems like in order to get the ram out you'll have to remove the video card; if you have one.
Love the specs...Eight SATA ports, lots of USB ports and nice heatsinks...Hope it comes out together with the IN9 so we can compare.
But OMG, my eyes! Orange and yellow! Why? x_x
It feels so close, yet so far away. :slobber:
Btw dumb question, 8 sata ports, yet I can only find 4. Where on the board are the other ones?
Look at what is between ide and floppy connectorQuote:

This is a top end board, rumors are msrp to be around $250 but expect it to be closer to $300 around launch.Quote:

hope the NDA expires.. I'm really waitiing for this..
I sold my board :( waiting for this baby.. hehehe I cant refuse his offer.. :)
Seems that ZZF has pulled the "out of stock" notification/listing of this board also.... Kinda leads me to wonder.....
Their lower spec model, the infinity range is listed as $179.99 so Lanparty would be at least 200 I would expect. 25% more would make it $225
The official name is the LANPARTY UT CFX3200-T2R/G. Specs are here.
:D Maybe name will change again till release June 2007........... :hehe:Quote:

the board looks great to me (indeed orange-yellow is a bit boring already but I don't think they'll change it soon)
I'm buying this baby ASAP :D (can't wait for 680i so this one'll have to go) ;)
Wrong!:DQuote:

Man Ive had my CPU and RAM for over a month, its getting hard to wait.
Ive been on a 8500 with 2800+ since conroe came out, bf2 is fun with half a gig too :p 2 gig and proper gfx waiting for something

what did you expect to find? ALL DFI LP series have black pcb's with yellow and orange slots. i personally like it :)Quote:
