This is ewiz...and you if you want confirmation...look at the URLs of the two links...the one for the Froogle discount is very different from the one for the regular ewiz customers.

A. They have stock
B. They have a LOT of stock
C. It's cheaper than any G80 that'll be released in a week

that really depends on how supplied they can keep these.

if its like the 7800GTX 512, where it was impossible to find and regularly sold for $1000 then this could get quite ugly.

or if its like the 7900GTX, where the supply is solid, and theres no drought, then within a month you can expect to start finding lower then MSRP prices.

so it really comes down to the supply....

Nvidia has had this under its wings for a year...you'll find articles pertaining to it from January 06...there is a LOT of supply on this...but gouging will commence nonetheless.

it will be a hardlaunch. And ive read that the distributors get a 2nd delivery fo the cards a few days after launch (a week orso) and after that supply should be steady.
So i guess theyls ell out on launch day or the day after orso in alot of shops, then for a few days there will b hardly any around until the 2nd shipment arrives.

I am waiting for EVGA as well, though with this upcoming release I am tempted to get another 7900GTX so I can get SLI :-P They should in theory drop in price.

Though getting a 8800 for x-mas would be nice.

I'd guess supply is high considering how early and quickly these things are poping up. But it's Nov/Dec! I'd expect shortages on the count that it is the holiday season soon. With such a huge core it will be interesting to see if supply will meet demand.

I remeber reading they will do 13000 in 3dmark06, but this guys only did 9800 in 3dmark06, My 7950GX2 does 8100 in 3dmark06. so im not sure it would make sense for me to upgrade.

Ouch, my Single X1950XTX did 8,000 in 3D06.

X1950 Xfire did ~15.4K 3d05 with driver defaults and a 2.4ghz E6600.

Pulls ~10k in 06 easily with texture detail and everything on max detail @ 3.4ghz.

I wonder how many they have in stock as they are still listed to Buy Now. I bet they have an order list of like 1000 people waiting on these, lol. I bet most are greeted with back order status on Mon. Thats what I like about Newegg, if it's in stock you buy and get the item, no question. With Ewiz, one has no idea if in fact the item is in stock or not. Another reason I will pass..

Dang it! I saw the thread in the Deal section posted by Dumo and now I come to find everyone else is all over the Ewiz deal! Ewiz does not carry a "live" inventory database so they are probably way oversold of their initial shipment. Is it too much to ask the mods to keep the deals in the deal section even when it is newsworthy? Or at least until I have my order in. ;) If I'm not gaming on it by this time next week, I'm going to be a little bitter. :(

No they don't, not over the weekend. I can tell you they are way oversold at this point. I had a chance to get one FRI (would have been one of the first in line) night but passed when I saw they were MSI. I hope I can get a BFG off the Egg Weds, otherwise I will be very upset I didn't go with this deal.

All brands of G80 are on the same Nvidia reference card. Only driver cd or bios a little different.

All partners were told by NVidia that NO overclocking is allowed on the 8800's. As in, you won't see a single pre-overclocked part on the shelves.

In 05 the GTX pulls close to 20k with a decently clocked conroe. This is with the cpu bottleneck hitting game test 1 at 84-85fps IIRC.

What kind of processor and at what clock speeds... You must remember, about 1/3rd of your 06 score is CPU, and 13k in 06 was done with a kentsfield(06's cpu test is majorly multithreaded). With a conroe in 06 it pulls about 11.5k with the conroe at 3.8ghz.

CPU means a lot in 06. Plain and simple....

The cards that will be available at launch are Version 1.0 cards.
they are all made by ASUS so will be 100% the same.
The only diffrences will be the box, sticker on the cooler and maybe Bios (alot of partners will use the reference bios). Some partners will maybe put on another cooler but thats it.

A few months after launch Nvidia will allow partners ot make the cards them selves.

Well not necessarily made my Asus, but they all use the nvidia reference design. A pretty sticker and maybe a tweaked bios and branded drivers are the only thing that is different between cards. Try telling that to a big MSI fan ;)

I was very tempted to snag one up (before this thread was posted lol), but decided i'd hold onto my $625.

one sli connector for SLI vids, the other connector is for a card to do physics or something else. guess quad sli will only come in the two-X2-cards flavor.

Single Card 8800GTX will pull 20k easily as well. You could literally just up the clocks on the cpu and relieving the bottleneck in gametest 1 will put you at 20k. I think you're underestimating the power of these cards.

19k with conroe at 3.7-3.8ghz no LOD, all driver defaults, stock card, ~35k 3d03 stock as well. At 2.4 ghz, no clue, but it'd likely be cpu bottlenecked in every single test anyway.

A. The recall hasn't significantly changed the orders for this specific card.

Perkam i hope you are right and the person on the phone know what he was telling me , but yes he told me that they gonna start automatically to process the orders in the way how they received them , so if i ordered mine too late and they doesn't have one for me(or anybody who placed his order too late) they gonna send e-mail to inform me... but he told me that they suppose to receive A LOT OF THEM! That was his words.
