Curved IHS as you can see. Looks pretty flat.

Test setup:

Mobo: P5B Deluxe no mods + swiftech cu cooler on NB
CPU: E6600 core2duo "conroe" L627
RAM: crucial ballistix PC5300 2*512 D9
PSU: OCZ gameXsteam 700w
video: MSI x800pro full vmods /w zalman cooler
CPU cooling: TT big typhoon + 129CFM delta fan (window open ambient temp ~66-70f)

dual 16m running right now. I'll update as I get more. Ram timings are 4-4-4-4 and the rest are default @ 10s and stuff. No idea what's what. Need to work on that.

Don't trust core temp, didn't bother downloading it. Heatpipes on typhoon are cold to the touch. I'll probably lap it soon. Need to order one of those nice easyPC kits with the micron paper :lol:

dual 32m @ loop 14 :eek: This chip has blown me away. I expected a piece of crap after seeing people fail to get 3.2 running.

I feal' like ordering another chip tomorrow, so gonna ask for a week 27..

What I'd like to see is... Orthos or other dualprime.. - Not what its stable at, but the temp, cause 3.8ghz is great.. And conroe with high volt is quite warm.. But it's might a 600mhz gain..

Dual superpi 32M time seems slow. My E6700 @ 340X10, mem @ 425MHz 4-4-4-12 give me 17m31s dual spi32m.

No. I'm at 3.6 and hitting low 19mins

The fastest x6800s are getting 15mins (at 5ghz and tuned)

I think anything under 20mins is good for this test.

I already ran max the bios allows ;) 3910 dual 16m crashed. Trying single 32m now. I'll try closing in on 4ghz, then orothos or whatever, then ram :)

I'm watching your impressive results closely as I have a FPO/Batch #L627A685 8/23/06 coming to me this weekend. Currently have a L626 thats passing dual orthos @ 3.2ghz on default volts.

that sounds VERY encouraging as I got an e6400 and I am hoping for either 2.93GHz(366FSB) or 3.2Ghz(400FSB)

Very nice... The highest I can dual prime is 3.7 but that takes 1.60 vcore and 70's on temps... And the best suicide screenies I can grab are low 3.9's so you're certainly doing better with that L627 then I do with mine...

I'm getting similar results with my week 25 e6600, p5wdh. My max prime stable is 400 fsb. If i take out the crappier stick of my ocz memory I get 420 prime stable.

If it's not 1gb of ram that's killing AFI's score then i'm not sure. I don't think the thread was intended as a 32M pissing contest though.

All i can say is good chip, i think he's ready for some additional cooling.

Look at the screenshot there is not MAXMEM used (andre's post NOT AFIs ;)) there and it was a 2GB kit RAM speed easily achievable but any half decent sticks

also he is on Allendale and he still beats you lol

anyway was just a bit of a joke didn't want to drag out AFIs thread talking about SPI performance

I wouldn't trust asus probe all all. Mine would read the cpu being below room ambiant. I tried core temp and that seemed to report my temps normally.:)

He has a FSB of like 1900vs my 1450, and he is running faster ram at 1:1 ratio.

I could not get 550 to pass running 2:3 on 2.4v. We all know 1gb is slower than two either way....

I do not feel bad that I got within 30 seconds... I didnt turn services off or do a daignostic boot.. there is still time left :)

I just was tired and wanted to go to sleep xD.

afireinside, You have a P5B Deluxe and a swift tech north bridge cooler. Is there any way you could post a pic of the NB HS on that board for me? I've already decided on the P5B and was concerned with cooling of the NB. The thing that concerned me the most with using an after market cooler was that I would have to remove Asus' heatpipe. How did you get around that? Thanks much for your time! :)

Ya, Andre's time is rather quick, allendale or not -- As far as I know no one else has run a faster time at 3.3ghz. I also do not want to talk about Pi performance in great detail, but Sean did want to know about what the difference actually is. I think he is much more concerned about the difference in 3D.

I know quad interleave is huge in this area also, I would imagine that it has some serious gains in 32m.

If one of my roomates has a multimeter, I might pencil mod the board for another .1v to .2v on ram to get 550 stable in 32m.

Just pop the pins off for the heatpipe cooler and put the swiftech on. The mosfets don't need the cooling and are fine even at 1.7v BIOS with a panaflow blowing over them.

afire, do you have a fan on your Swifttech NB cooler? One the P5W, with my Ultr-120, I cannot put a fan on it - too tall. I actually have the Whisper active copper cooler that's is "tweaked" up against the U-120-I woory the contact is not that great because it's hitting the the CPU HSF. It's also fairly audible. I'd like to change to a swiftech, but there's no way I could fit a fan on it. Does the bare sink do OK on a high OC?

How long running small and large FFT in Orthos? I can do 3.8 and 3.9Ghz also but it sure won't pass Orthos DC 100% taxed without errors.
