Finally, better NB heatsink

Can't wait for OC results!
Subscribed. Awaiting OC results :)

Oh Jeez, this board is tempting me to AM2 sooo bad
is this board worth to buy or not depend on the OC result
yeah I am waiting too
looking forward to the OC results and memory peroformance. would you be able to backup the BIOS it shipped with and throw it up here to download and have a look at? or can anyone find a link to a BIOS download?
I think I may pick it up when it comes out. I dont know.

OMG... the eagle has landed! :toast:
Does the digital PWM heatsink get hot under load?
it's damn damn HOT :DQuote:

I suggest you post this problems at DFI street so Happy takes care of it...

Yes price and it looks pretty. How loud is chipset fan?
A lil disappointed on results so far but it is new bios.
Good job so far!

aside from 1 sata II controller that i personally use i have never seen anything else ever use the pci-e 1x and never ever anything on the 4x or 8x slots.
so why the frick are they still putting them on there.
has anyone ever seen a n y t h i n g use those slots ?
and btw the little 1x pci-e sata II raid card i have is a great little card uses the Sil 3132 chipset .
very tiny card, smaller than the 1/2 height NIC cards.
so anyways why are we still being subjected to ttoally useless pci-e slots and pci slots are being reduced down to 2 or 3 max.
Creative has already stated they have absolutely no plans to create a pci-e sound card
and there isnt anyting i can think of aside from a sata II controller that uses a pci-e slot.
maybe a SCSI card but i havent seen them and definately not for the consumer side.
i maybe wrong here but spin works for dfi taiwan? i think i dont know
(thought i saw some of the other guys here mention he was an employee)

Maybe this will answer your Q
too bad it still a proto :(
subbed, wanna see more, yay for pics and thanks for bios option pics
Uhh... You seem to be contradicting youself there. I mean you say that you are personally using a SATA II controller on the 4x/8x slot and then ask why? :slap:Quote:

I can't believe you are arguing against increased bandwidth. :slapass:
The new board looks awesome.
Once they release a few more bios revisions, this board should rock.
The only reason I can find to chose this one over ASUS Crosshair is the angled SATA ports.. Looks good, but like the ASUS board more, as the look of it is better, and it seems to be on par or better than the DFI when looking on the options on the board..
Nice :) I like that "To be set / Value now" in bios
yes this board is very nice, but i have been a little dissapointed with the 500 series mobo as most reviews i have seen most cant crack 300hht and if they do they are not stable,i hope more bios updates will fix the problem.
I really like the bios so many options.keeping fingers crossed that updates wont be far behind.:worship:
why? I'm practically begging for a pci-e x8 on the p5w board.

And there are other soundcard companies beside Creative who might make one :)
Though, I agree with you that 1X slots p!ss me off. I think they should all be 4X at least. I'd rather they just make them all full length (ie. ATI physics scenario), but that makes things space tight/more expensive.
It has been far too long for DFI to bring out this board. As other were saying, Oskar Wu or Tony OCZ should be modding the BIOS very shortly.
Personally, I am really into DFI just because they overclocked better (939 wise). I sincerely hope that this board will live up to DFI standard.
Either this one with a modded BIOS or a Foxconn for me very soon.

Ram rang jang.
300 MHz is to low for HTT!
I would like to see FX62 working like 7x400!
Or even better 3GHz with 6x500 ;)
top of the line and no dolby digital live?
serious problem dfi
nobody buys it
Dude, you're killing your FX-62 man... 69ºC is way too high! :stick:
Nobody buys this board to enjoy some dolby BS. This board is purely for overclocking...If you want better sound, just get an X-Fi.Quote:

why i have to spend 100€ in a dolby digital live card if i could buy one abit or foxconn at same price?
i will exchange my asus m2n-sli to abit or foxconn for sure
Sorry, am I on the wrong forum? Is this AudioFreaks.org?
You want massive overclock? Get a board designed for that (DFI).
Want good sound onboard? Buy a board that has dolby digital.
Want both? Get a DFI and an XFI.
Well so far we haven't seen a massive OC either. Maybe the DFI NF4 board is the best?
almost all conroe boards using 965/765 chipsets use dolby digital live
amd loose market for sure
cpus too slow and mobos with bad audio asics
creative x-fi don't have dolby digital live

Quote:
Despite its fancy new architecture, onboard memory, support for Dolby Digital ES and DTS-EX output, and THX certification, the X-Fi won't encode Dolby Digital Live. According to Creative, Dolby Digital Live support would make the X-Fi more expensive due to both licensing costs and the need for additional tank RAM on the chip. Creative also asserts that Dolby Digital Live encoding introduces a small amount of latency, and points out that it's limited to 5.1-channel output. Perhaps more notably, Creative says that Dolby Digital Live encoding can't handle DRM-protected content since it passes unprotected data through a digital output. That's an interesting limitation, although PC enthusiasts have never really been enthusiastic about DRM-encrusted content.
looks like it would be a better board than these 939's, but im not that impressed :\
/me waits for a modded bios
this really makes me want to go AM2.
of course it needs a better bios and at least a B revision, then it will the best, people you expect too much from a beta board... jeez
why are we talking about onboard audio. if you want dobly bs then buy a card that supports it. 'nuff said, don't like it don't buy it.
Enough already.
So far so good. All we need is a bios AND A PRICE!!!!!!! (Roughly)
Keep Ultra DFI or go for the Eagle as was put earlier!
Just got the pricing info from Malaysian distro... price after conversion is USD$294 for the LP UT NF590 SLI-M2R.
:(
:nono:
Oh, well. DFI Ultra I stay with.
I am sure conversion rates and initial tight supply are causing this. I bet you will see it down to $200 rapidly as availability increases.Quote:

Good job nevertheless Spin!
Do you have another chip around btw?
I hope they release something without SLI. A 570 or something.
Yo Yo.
I love spin9 kiki.
DFI should come out with a real nice nforce 570 sli board.
got news from Indonesian distro, DFI LANPARTY UT NF590 SLI-M2R/G should sell around US$280
for audio freak, just leave the Karajan and buy a Prodigy 7.1XT :D
will dfi make a intel nforce 590 board for c2d?
yesQuote:

what was wrong with posting a link to the ddr2 that is made especially for that board?
You will see them here for about 270ish. I offered to do a group buy at 225 a pop. But nobody wanted to go for it. which is cool. Just trying to help out.Quote:
