bloody oath.. that is crazy . :D
If that mobo+cpu combo is not impressive, then I don't know what is :slobber:
Awesome clocking, Andre  On top of that, 32M is quite sweet, considering 2MB L2 (maybe 10s penalty here) and 965P chipset... How about 100% OC on E6400 air-cooled, man? You think you can do it? :D ...probably not, but what a hell, why not ask
that's freakin insane :toast:
what batch is that?
might have to look for one of those

Nice OC.
What voltage are you running the cpu at?
yeah it is.. nearly 14 secs faster than my E6600 @3898mhz 1:1 on badaxe heheQuote:

1.63 on air
Very impressive
Very awesome, a note though. I have not seen that many people run past 1.5volt for some reason.
Maybe everyones just playing it safe for the time being :D
Impressive results! 500MHz FSB is nuts!
Well 1.5v on 65nm is almost like 1.7v on 90nm, lmao.Quote:

What were the ambient temps?
So tempted to buy a p5b and 6400 :slobber: Man that's insane!
Great overclock man! Hopefully I will be joining you in a few hours (it's 4am est lol all nighter!) once I get a new multimeter at the 500mhz fsb on the same chip. I'm stuck at 430mhz on my P5W DH. I'm all ready for the vmch mod once I get a new multimeter. I've got mine on water though... I can't break 35*c with my E6400 B2 @ 3.4ghz (1.4v.)
Did you get everything from newegg? It makes sense especially if the chip arrived yesterday (3 day shipping?) I got mine on tuesday from newegg via fedex overnight.
OMG!
It's a alien E6400!
Andre are you able to boot at these speed or do you increase the fsb in windows?
Odd..Quote:

Hmm, high volt?
I use 1.6125v for daily use on my E6600, air cooled... No injuiries so far..

Well, it clocks less good once the limit of vcore has been reached :)
that is just crazy man :toast:
once again your SuperPI times are really good
me thinks that there is no chance in hell i can drop from 14m 40s@3750MHz to 12m 58s@4Ghz
i think i'm gonna push 1.63 through my sucker to see how far past 3.8GHz benchable i can make mine hmmmmm

have you checked the _real_ temperature with CoreTemp?
That Asus Probe shows about 10-12 degrees to low.
Anyways, nice OC! =)
Have you done some tweaks to get that result on Superpi 32 or that is just a bios or performance improvement. That result looks weird.
It looks like the new bios is a powerful increment that Asus made with the 965 with ICH8R.
The Asus P5B Deluxe seems powerful enough to handle higher FSB with any kind of processor.
They worked so hard to get that working, people were upset with the motherboard price compared with P5W DH with crossfire support and also much more overclockale, now looks like P5B is the way to go with any allendale or Conroe.
P5B will be my next motherboard for my multimedia system powered with E6400.
Edit : Thanks for moving the post.
Largesyscache, right?

Great result Andre! :toast:
Wow thats a nice combo indeed.
Nice Work! :toast:
That thing would be a nice R@H cruncher, but 1.6xV sounds a little bit too much to me for 24/7 usage.
Your 32M is very high as well... - I'm currently running 42 processes not set large sys-cache... Running slow 400*9, and Im reachedQuote:

Running 32M with largesyscache: Decimals: 4096 as Im ending this post :)
EDIT:
Damn, no big difference, matter of 2 seconds..
nice scores !!!
and about Conroe? any chance to show us an E66 or E67 at 500 x 8 on P5B Deluxe ?
Wow its nice to see conroe doesn't mind that high vcore.

A good rule of thumb is 10% vcore increase is not going to hurt anything.. I don't run my processors more then 10% over stock for 24/7.
On the otherhand this is XS......At any rate 1.6v over time will degrade the CPU.
nice 6400 there .
anybody ever said you can't do great without xtreme cooling? I specially like this one because of the voltages on that cooling. fsb + clocks are totally great for that 6400 :toast:
And here i am throwing 1.65 vcore through a 6600 on a mesely 9500led. Still pretty cool though..55c after 36 hours of dual prime.
Good to hear that 9500 looks flawless. I recommend you install Zalman northbridge, if you do not have it yet.
wow:D awesome 6400 here :toast:
I wonder , all Asus p5b dlx at 500fsb easily?
congrats AndreYang..

hi, ;)
what's the max FSB of P5B Deluxe without mods?
[]s
Hmmm looks like the P5B Dlx is the board to buy
what will coretemp report?
I'm so happy these 63,64's are doing so well. Great values!
another one for you? hehehehehQuote:

has anyone seen a conroe die from to many volts? I've seen over 1.8vcore and no one has seemed to have killed their cpu.
could you give us some screenie using Core Temp ??Quote:

Congrats Andre amazing 6400 you have there dont blow it up now :)
bad axe motherboard e6400 / ocz 667 ram - what should i be getting on oc on this setup?
i gotta up my power supply i only have 500 wattz.
Nice!
I'll be playing with a P5B deluxe next week. I like this P5W, and unmodded on air I am only able to boot 439 FSB. I'm fairly sure this E6400 is good for 3.8GHz on air. We'll see.
Anybody? =]Quote:

im still gonna wait a bit for the fab process to mature a lil more..
like when PD 805z were pulling 4g on stock voltage.. lol i wonder if itll happen to these core chips .
