When's NDA expire again ?
Regards
Andy
23rd is official launch...so no clue.
Perkam
NDA is same day as launch :stick:
belgium dutch member piotke has one his way :D
That's interesting. For a long time reviewers have complained that they have had a short time with he cards to put up the review, sometimes as short as a weekend. But not it is a couple of weeks it seems so Ati has listened. Or else the date has come forward ?
Interesting though.
Regards
Andy
tha date is the same, no changesQuote:

As far as I know Shamie is not under NDA.
if this is just a swap out, of DDR3 for DDR4, and the board has always supported DDR4 like ATI claimed, then theres no real reason this should be a huge drastic thing for them...
get the memory, put it onto X1900's they already have, call them X1950s, pack em, ship em and wait for the money to fall in thier bank accounts, haha.
its not like this a huge change, so they probably already have a few of these laying around, ready for the big time review sites (anandtech, tomshardware and such)
Very right indeed Kunaak, though there has been some other less dramatic changes.
2 weeks is launch?
I thought it also was a smaller process...
only the 'pro' is on 80nm isint it? ^^

cannot wait to see real sites results, ive seen the leaked results but i,m taking them with a pinch of salt.
How much $ is this card going to run?
Let's wait for official word on changes before jumping to any conclusions :)Quote:

Shamino also suspects much better power consumption numbers because of the improved power regulation.. at least thats what I understood from his posts.
I was assuming part of the reason for the lower power consuption and the reworked power setup was because GDDR4 consumes less power?
I`m looking forward to the first numbers to creep out :D
The INQ said about $449 MSRP.Quote:

Yesterday was the official announcement for europe at Germany....:D..cards are coming to Greece...:D
Yep. Exactly what ive been saying all along. But people were jumping on my back cause i said the cooler looked crap, and would be the same as the old one.Quote:

Ok, He clearly stated that the noise was from the "wooosh.." of the air, not a high pitched whine, I think most people can deal with the sound of fast moving air..no? 50*C load at 100% fan is pretty freakaing good! Im pretty sure you could easily find some mid-way setting that offers decent temps while still being fairly quiet. What we really need is results on the black cooler, that one looks awsome
That black cooler reminds me of Pyrex cookware. The red one looks badass. Only solution: Red and Black Attack!
Shamino also said that it's still dead silent at 3k RPM and that moves a ton of air as well.
now will there be two versions of this?
I may just wait and grab one for $450 if it is indeed the top of the line card.
50c at full load so he says. You also realize he was running his setup out of the case and no mention of what ambient temps were. They could have been 20c which is pretty low. I take temp statements with a grain of salt when it comes to reviews cause they are ALWAYS much warmer when I recieve the card and run it from within a case with much warmer ambient temps.Quote:

I think this cooler is going to be crap.:)
So...the new cooler can handle the increased heatload of the x1950XTX, doesn't have the high pitched whine, still has lower temps then the x1800 cooler at 100% and its still crap. Your logic is crap.Quote:

the cooler is definitely better on the x1950xt. looks realy nice.
