You should check state bylaws...i think kentsfields over 3.4ghz in Minnesota are illegal :p
Perkam
Then good thing he's in Michigan :p:
And damn....that's just incredible....how high can it get for loading more than one core? 48C idle's gotta mean a KILLER load temp when all four get cooking

very nice mobo and result,Dr.:toast:
Nice clocks indeed! Looks like this is another mobo i need to have a look at..
Might be different on high speeds @ LN2 though...
Time will show..
Great work as always Andre!!:toast:
great work as usual
impressive
me wants a Tuniq like yours :D
anyway great work as always
Very nice board, Andre. I like the fact that higher multipliers are unlocked. I wish the P5B had that.:(
P5B and P5W64 are different Team in ASUS company. So I cannot ask P5B's RD to open multipliers . But I will try to ask their product manager.Quote:

Amazing! :toast:
Victor is cheating, B1 Stepping 5! :D
how the ? 33c !!!
ambient ?
Whats the max you can do quad loaded :stick:
Highest I've been able to run quad-SP2004 with Kentsfield (B0) is 3.4GHz. According to Asus Probe, load temps reached 83C. That was with 1.45v. Pointless for me to try any higher because the amount of VCore needed would probably send temps above 90C. Kentsfield has a Max Tcase temp of 100C. If the newer steppings run cooler, they might be able to run quad-Prime at a higher speed.

3.4GHz quad-SP2004 stable may not sound like much. But in any kind of rendering benchmark, Kentsfield will eat Conroe alive, with a lot lower clocks. That's the real power of a quad-core.
3.4 quadcore sounds like a lot to me :) That's very impressive. And to think in a year we'll all have this kind of power :woot:
My CPU runs pretty stable at 3.6GHz. But it's impossible to test with quad-SP2004 at that speed because the VCore needed would probably cause temps to hit triple digits. Idle temp with 1.53v is 44C which doesn't seem too bad.
when is the board coming out , its taken more than a month now
I believe Kentsfield is scheduled for late Q4 '06..been moved forward....Quote:

Heres with default bios....came with mobo...

This board is great, but quite expensive unfortunatelly:(
mate , can you please post an intel thermal analysis log , like idle and load temperatures ?
i am curious...
Heres...
Peeps with subzero will love this;) ....

The board will easily do more than 440FSB. This was with air-cooling.

How about a few Core Temp screenshots with idle/load?

im so looking forward to getting my hands on one of this
Whats the difference in the p5w64 ws pro and the p5w64 ws pro green ?
Really nice work Andre Yang. My wife is looking to replace her badaxe I think this is the M/B she has to have.
O/T You guys seem pretty informed. My question is this as it has me scrathing my head. On the AMD fusion . Cpu gpu on one die. Will it be possiable for AMD to use the Fsocket 1207 pins / I was thinking that a gpu added to the cpu might require more pins. Can anyone say . Sorry for the O/T but I don't want to insite a riot on the AMD side of the board there already upset with me. Thats why I am asking here and its not worth starting a thread. :)
