[SLI@965Chip?!]Gigabyte 965P-DQ6-6Quad
-

-
That's with hacked Nvidia drivers though isn't it? Is SLI actually natively supported?
-
Awesome man, its looking sexy ! Now the HUGE question ! "9 x MAX FSB" stable ? Or in other words, whats the max FSB with a 9 multiplier ? Thanks for the pics and pls push that bad boy ! Every enthusiast in this forum is expecting at least 9x430 from a clocking board or at least thats the challenge... Please share this info and thanks again ! :D

Seems SLI is working....but just weird board....definitely leaves me

:D yea 05 and 06 next
cant wait what drivers u using
-
-
-
ts this with nacked drivers or not... I mean...I'm kinda lovin this board...
what abt the max bootable fsb?
Marco
-
is the 2001 score of 52K not really low?
or is the cpu-z not crazy with the 1600mhz core clock?
-
Sigh, the 1600mhz is because when idling the processors multiplier drops from 11 down to 6 to save power.
I just got this board, its so pretty, i didnt get the little football things though. Im confident gigabyte will give us a good bios for it in future.

What are these items in the accesories box?...some football stuff?
I bought a retail board from the UK and no such extra were added?????
What are they, please take pictures if the accesories.
-
They are hacked drivers...didnt you notice the XS logo in SLI profile?? :stick:
-
Am I reading that CPU voltage right? 2.375??
-
Can i ask, if you remove the "crazy cool" on the back...can you please take pics?
Also, what version in bios is the Gigabyte SATA/JMircon controller?...like the build version for the Gigabyte RAID utility, and the build for the Intel 965 RAID utility also, please....screenies if possible.
-
consider this your new sli 570/590 board :D
-
What would happen if you removed the crazy cool (to install a better HSF), would the heat from it not being there burn something up? It looks more gimicky than anything but you never know.
-
Why does the LGA Protector say FOXCONN? :)
-
So wait? SLI works with x16x4? Does that mean my P5B Deluxe supports SLI with hacked drivers? Sweet! How does x16x4 compare to x8x8 in perfromance?
-
Woohoo thanks for the info.Did it come with the Sli bracket and bridge to?

That motherboard was not made to work with SLI, the drivers/bios are hacked
-
Yes I know it's not Sli.But one of the sites I looked at showed it still came with Sli bracket and bride in the box.
Scroll to the bottom of the page to see them.

Wow nice.
Coolaler what have you done to the tower 120 ? tilted fan to get air away from 7900gtx cards ? going to take the top of mine today and mount some antivibration stuff between the fan and cooler :)

It's a Thermaltake Sonic Tower, not a Sunbeam Tower 120.

If so, then you should be able to get Crossfire to work as well. I'm curious to know what speeds those PCIE links are at, 8x each or something asymmetric?
-
i have seen p5wd2's come with sli brigdes:stick: :D. man i wish it supported sli without hacked drivers:mad: oh well:rolleyes: looks like i need to get the 590 chipset dfi board

8x/4x
-
Yah, try setting more than +.5mV (2.3vDIMM) in BIOS, see what happens. (WONT BOOT)
Or, better yet, try going over 1.6Vcore, see what happens.
(WONT BOOT)
Anyway, dont trust the BIOS screen shots. Gigabyte released a motherboard that isnt exactly functional yet.
Allendale E6300=FSB of 475++++
Conroe E6600/E6700=FSB of 400 if you are lucky.
COOLALER, if you have any contacts at GIGABYTE plz help us out.

Had a chance to test a 7950gx2 on the DQ6 yet? Also, did you have to remove the crazy cool heatsink to get the bracket of your heatsink on? If so, did your northbridge temps seem to go up much?

crazy cool easily comes off... doesnt seem to really do anything.
The BIOS just sucks, the board seems good. I am able to overclock E6600 to 3900mhz on air, super pi 1M stable. Cant boot past 400Mhz in BIOS, but in windows no problem.
Pretty impressive stuff, just a LOT more to be desired.
DQ3/4 or 6 would be nice boards for E6600, kinda hard to max out the FSB with an E6600 b4 you would max out the chip on air.
Anyway, Imma go throw the E6700, see how she does.

now at least we get some goodies for the price we pay :)
-
Has anyone tested a 7950GX2 on one of these?

i am not saying this with any sarcasm...want to find out if i "need" this board to be paired with my E6600...
you say that you are not happy with the bios...but...it is fine with the E6600...which is it!...i can't imagine your description of the bios as "sucks" as being compatible with any conroe processor.
again, not critical...just an enquiring mind wants to know:)
PS....Anandtech review kind of agreed with you about bios...but in the end they blamed it on a flaky board instead of the bios.
-
LOL!...so the football stuff dosen't come with the retail, but what about the SLI bridge...did that come with it?
-
no, they're hacked why would there be an sli bridge in an intel chipset board?
-
-
never trust reviews, and second, thats just weird, stupid a** liars :/

Do I understand it correctly - Coolaler actually has an official driver from Nvidia that supports SLI ( and not a hacked one ) and allows the PCI-E to run 8x / 8x on the 965 chipset ???? And the CF - SLI support is only dependant on licensing agreements???
-
Yes you are reading it right, but CPU-Z isn't...

Have you tried bios F3a? I've got this board coming on Tuesday so I'd be interested in your results with your e6600. :)

Any updates on this coolaler?

It could possibly be true: Nvidia to soon provide SLI support to Intel, as of July 27th.

how do i enable the ram timings setting?

In bios press Ctrl+f1

IIRC the 965 was supposed to have 16x + 4X right ? and this SLI is 8x +8x or what ? i am a bit confused...
-
i think all 965 chipsets are like 955 ,and use 8x4 for sli ,i might be wrong though,i think 975 8x8 for sli is better chioce .scors better also .

Thanks. this board is a biotch to overclock with. not as easy as the p5w. Voltage readings are more stable atleast.

does bios f3c help this board any?
