I serched for ages for a UK seller but no Luck. :mad: Id of definatly gone with a pair. Do they retail alot more with the DDR3 chips over the normal ones. OR is it luck with what u get?

Dont think any pipes can be unlock its just certain 7300GT cards use DDR3 IC's so clock very good. If your lucky enough to find them that is... Couldnt find one retailer in the UK who sell the cards with DDR3.

But i've only saw Gainward and now Galaxy with ddr3...

I think there's none in PT yet.

Reminds me of the allmighty 6200 back in the days:) Man that card kicked mayor ass. If I ever find one of those good clocking AGP ones I'll definatly buy it.

That's a good list. Nice to compare the mid range of the 6 series with the bottom end of the 7 series. Mid range on the G8 series, presumably G83, should be an excellent card you would have to think.

I think my favorite part about the 7300, is that it beats my recently departed X800XT PE in benchmarks when overclocked.

I spent $500 USD for the X800, and this card rings in at around $100.

Have to love technology!

I think it can beat x800 gto!

I've nabbed one of these for my dads budget rig. It'll be interesting to see if the 7300GT on it's own is ok. For it's price it's got good vibes around the net. DDR3 memory which can be ramped up easily by 100mhz and the core which can go to 550 from 500. The only downside is the 8vp / 8pp. But my dads not a mad gamer, but he'll be able to cane my 6800LE (unlocked to a GT bar memory @ 400 / 820mhz) can run BF2 easily :D

recieved my pair of 7300gt's today (XpretVision 7300Gt sonic, 256MB DDR3, 2.0ns)

at first sight, I might be able to open the disabled pipes, yet i'm not sure about that.

too bad, no unlock, it stays at 8pp, 4vp although I 'enabled' the pipes with rivatuner :(

Good question, if 7300GT have 256MB,then I vote 7300GT, but if only 128mb, I think better 7600gs:stick:

well, at least its offered in the US now, too bad its only the 128mb version. I know for a fact the 7600GS I would be getting can get memclocks of 1000 easy. and 600 on the core. I was wondering if one u nice ppl here at xtremesystems could underclock there GT's to 1000 memclock so I could see the benchies. It should be similiar to a GS with 600/1000 right?

There are 256MB DDR3 7600GS cards that are as expensive as DDR3 7300GTs which only have 8/4 pipes. I would get a 7600GS and if the performance is still too low, get another one for SLi :)

Just make sure you get a DDR3 7600GS.

no, I cant get those in America, its impossible. So I jus wanna see how a 7600GS at 600/1000 compares to a 7600GT at 600/1400.

7600GS would have 12ppl regardless DDR2 or DDR3. It would just be a 7300 if it only had 8ppl.

Galaxy had 2 types of 7600GS with DDR3. They're named as 7600GS w/DDR3 and 7600GE ... but both seemed to be similar only different box (blue vs yellow...lol!)

I wasnt going to say 7600GS cards only have 8 ppl. Should have made that more clear.
I was going to say: There are 7600GS cards with DDR3 and 12/5 pipelines, that are as expensive as 7300GT cards with DDR3 and only 8/4 pipelines. And the 7600GS is faster than a 7300GT, which is why I would buy 7600GS cards now or wait for 7900GS if much performance is needed.

My Galaxy 7300GT turned up tonight and it is a proper overclockers card with a very well attached gpu fan and also well glued on heatsinks on the memory. This is how cards should be sent to customers ..considering it is a cheap card all dibs to Galaxy. :toast:

Do they do similar 7600GT and 7900GT cards as well ? :confused: If they did this would be better than any Xforce XXXXX

That's an interesting list you have there. My feeling is that ATI is offering really good performance for the dollar but those dual 7300 DDR3 cards kick some A$$. Too bad we can't buy them in the U.S.

Now what I'm really waiting for is this X1950 Pro that is supposed to be $199 coming out next month.
