If you give me two 7950GX2 I can be your tester :D
*BUMPAGE*
Because we need some WR's (and a better filehost, lol)
I can test ... but the link is dead :(Quote:

Yes, friends have sent me Conroe, I think in some days it will be in my hands. :)Quote:

I have looked what is modified in this driver... I can tell, that I did it several months ago with the first drivers with Quad-SLi support - 87.XX, it has not turned out anything good from this. :(
I got them hosted here on a swedish 10mbit link.
Alexio bad haxor :slapass: :D
So did he actually did more modding than just replacing the file I replaced? Could it be that the driver I made doesn't work for you, but could work for others?Quote:

@NiCKE^ and Tortelli: Thanks for hosting ;)
And welcome to XS Tortelli :)
Can someone else try these drivers? A BSOD can mean too many things.
Actually, there are at least 2 modified files in the 84.66 hacked drivers: nv4_mini.sy_ and NvCpl.dl_. I've already did some tests with 7900GTX's and 7900GT's with 91.31 and these two files from 84.66, but i didn't obtain anything else than BSOD after restart.
I'll try the 85.96 / 91.31 trick tomorrow with the GTX's until i get two GX2's.
Edit: I've looked over Jaan's results and they look very low, i don't think quad SLI is working on his setup.
I think the same...Quote:

a normal score with 7950GX2 on 3800Mhz P4 = 33k.. :DQuote:

I guess I could swap the actual driver files into 85.96 and see if that'll work.. keep the old cpanel..
Good luck :toast:Quote:

Worth a try, shouldn't do anything bad if it doesn't work, I think it MAY work but I'm not sure..

Report:
I had 91.31 installed working well with single GX2. (Not even a quad capable driver)
1. Installed second card
2. Booted Windows, got SLI notice "One of your display migth turn black..", but then the system resetted itself
3. Boot into Windows, no SLI option.
4. Installed 91.37 from this thread
5. Reboot but it just resets itself before showing the Welcome screen
6. Fail safe mode and uninstall of driver
7. Tried the 85.96 installation. It misses nvdisps.dll so I point it to the 91.31 driver. It installs two of four then reset.
8. BSOD when trying to boot into Windows.
by 85.96 you mean what I did?Quote:

Yes, the one you linked to.Quote:

I seem to remember someone did.
Can anyone hook me up with it, probably the most likely to work..
Crotale, i've had about the same experience when trying to mod the 91.31's. Right after installation it showed the SLI option, i've activated it but performance was slower than single-card, then after restart i got BSOD so i had to uninstall. This was with 7900GT's on Bad Axe.
lawrywild, YHPM ;).

I'm going to look into 84.66 now...
Got it, Thanks very much Micutzu ;)
I'm still trying to get it to work, damn I wish I had a Conroe rig and a SLI setup :(
I do but not quad :(Quote:

These drivers will work on non 7950's (as long as the inf is edited). You should try them out and see if they work as good as the 8X.XX modded drivers.Quote:

I have an X6800 and a 7950GX2 already running fine with the newest WHQl on a Bad Axe. I also have another 7950GX2 just sitting here collecting dust until someone figures this driver issue out.
When I get home tonight, I'll try the second 7950GX2 with the drivers posted here.
Here's 84.66 I modded for trial:
http://rapidshare.de/files/26443482/...ivers.rar.html
It seems far more similar to 91.37 than 85.96 so we'll see when someone tries. :)
edit: nvm I'm pretty sure it won't work
Yes, results are low, but something is working on this "quad system:Quote:

two 7950GX2 cards, SLI disabled- 11445,9Mtextel's -over 90% boost
In same test GT2 max fps was way higher under quad mode.
In Aquamark I have 11FPS boost. 100 vs 111 on quad or whatever mode :D
I've monitored all system power consumption- when Quad SLI is active, power consumption was avg. 50W more.
And netburst intel are weak at such low MHz (3,8GHz), even if they have Extreme logo :)
Here some example for comparison of one GX2+ Pentim D@ 3755MHz (too bad I dont have a clue about his card clocks)
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=4862001
Another thing is, that Quad SLI power is not traceable under such low res and without AA etc.
Jaan, waiting for working quad driver, and try's new x6800 in "cpu test"@3D01 for now examle ;) :D
upload your driver Jaan?
is it possible to create a new profile for 3dmark 2003 WITH quad sli or something..?Quote:

I am running AMD FX-62. I know this is a Intel Thread. But this might work for you guys.
91.33 Beta Drivers. I have Quad-SLI and it even shows I have Quad-SLi on a Asus Mobo M2N32-SLI deluxe.
Here is the link

disregard that post. :)
OK I Have both an E6700 and an X6800 along with a pair of 7950s. I will test for you if you want to send me the files.
Ath
Okay, so far none of the drivers on this thread have worked for me. Just FYI.
*sigh* still hoping to get quad sli going:(
out of curiousity has anyoned tried the official beta's on an amd socket board, preferably a an fx62 oc'd :O
Definitely not what we want to hear. Back to the drawing board.Quote:

we really neeeeeed this...!!
well i think that maybe quad sli is working you just need to setup the app profiles??? maybe im wrong but it seems like a logical step im not sure anyone has done. what are the sli modes used in quad sli called again?
Yeah I know but we are up to page 3 and no luck so far so I am wondering whether anyone will have any luck.Quote:

This is what jaan send me in a PM. He can't get it to work anymore. He said he was tired when he got SLI to work, so he may have forgotten an important step. I guess posting this does him no harm as he needs a fix too, so he says.Quote:

Curious myself about these drivers as I have 2x 7950gx2's and e6600 p5b deluxe with a single stage on the way. I tried the new .45 quad sli drivers just for kicks and it seemed to enable sli, but my scores were much lower than with single card.
i975X only offers a total of 16 lanes for both the graphic cards. Quad-SLI works on 2x8 lanes but the performence drop is devastating. You need 2x16 lanes to run it :(
So, a Tyan Thunder K8WE ( http://tyan.com/products/html/thunderk8we.html ) should not have that kind of performance drop? The 'drop' is more like AMD-related? ;)
I don't see what you are pointing at. That mobo sports a nforce pro core logic that offers 32 lanes. I'm talking about i975X that only offers 16 lanes wich means 4 lanes for each core and the local framebuffer.
@Kinc
check out the new asus P5W 64 WS PRO mobo. it has 64 pci-e lanes :)
Ah, ok. *sorry* I guess I should read more than a few posts...:(Quote:

We want drivers for the 7950GX2, not for the 7950GT. :)
What are the card clocks? I can pull 170K at 3500/ 674/1982..single card.Quote:
