Insulation Intel Bad Axe Rev 3.04 & Wb for chipset Modd
-
Very nice and clean job ;)
Let us know how it works.
-
very nice yes :)
One thing, If possible can images not be hosted on good webspace instead of Imageshack, they expire in some time then the thread becomes useless.
Sure alot of people here have proper webspace available, just ask :)

Micutzu Barbo is my friend now u know how i ask u something about the retenction mechanism of socket 775 :D
Barbo nice work!!! :D Bel lavoro!!!! Figghiuzzo e puttanazza!!! :D
Don't use imageshack man... eheh
-
Well... resize it. It doesn't have to be that big of file.
I could be posting my 3-5 meg jpeg each time and you guys will hate me. :p:
I suggest using 640x480 jpeg or so and use internal picture attachment to ease the pain of readers :)
PS) Nice insulation... want to make some guide out of it?
-
Nice insulation there:toast:
Be really careful with condensation on bad axe.
-
why remove retention mechanism ?
-
Because it isn't needed? Looks good but I'd be worried with such a thin layer of insulation around the socket. I usually have a good 2-3inches of solid insulation =\ Hopefully that'll work otherwise we can chalk up another dead badaxe on the list. Seems like those boards are super finicky about living.
-
I resize the picture later....now i make the vmod on the mobo;)
Sorry, but i test the insulation in this, or next week:D
I will hope, they works fine!
P.S. if they work fine, i make a guide for XS ;)

Nice work on that custom NB hold down. How the heck did you get that NB heat sink off anyways? Sure the spring comes off easy but those damn plastic retainers wouldn't budge.

thanks:) Neoprene is 10mm(on the mobo), and 5mm(on top).....they both have a stickys on the back!
In few days, i post the discriptions of the photos.......i have some problem with english :slapass: :slap:
P.S. on the mobo, you can use neoprene without sticky, or you can put the sticky on the otherside....the insulation works fine the same...and the mobo is clean:banana:

This is my phase in action with Celeron D326 !!
The insulation works very fine....but the sensor of CPU is in eccess about +5°/+10°

Nice job there. one little hint dont let mobo get to cold before booting other wise get condensation troubles and system not boot.
And dont clamp the block too tight or wont boot again.:toast:
-
Nice
I must say, BarboneNet...your avatar is...uh, very nice ! :D

i comfirm your affirmation: If you prestart the phase change for 30minutes(or more) before start the mobo....you can have condensation!!!
But if you start your mobo, after only 5-25minutes of phase prestart......no problem;)

Why have you used extra neopren around the socket? And alo on the NB?
The NB neoporen is just for stability or do you use chilled water?
Also it looks like grease around the socket? Why use that when you have such a good mounting mecanism?
Regarding the Retension mechanism, I dont remove it, I just fill it up along the eges so I have lees air to create condensation in case of a Mis happ.

Pics arent working anymore!

So no Dielectric grease was used either in the socket or around the socket?
Or back of the mobo etc...?
Thanks
Reason I ask is I'm going to do phase and am new to it.
-
long term fixes are always better off with grease, regardless..
for a first time phase user, the need for using dialectric grease is virtually mandatory..
If you search the forum here you'll find people with a couple of conroe's that have corroded pads..
regards
raja

Nice mod! Looks really clean too :).
