Watercooling for the Mainboard is also ready...
MIPS p5wdh mosfet freezer and p5wdh chipset freezer with G 1/4.
In stock next week, but already avaiable for preorder via mail or at the end of the week in the shop... (www.mips-computer.de).
Each cooler 39.90Eur
Damn that watercooling looks great
price at holland: Asus P5W DH Deluxe € 205,43
so thats about 10 dollars more... :(
Note I recieved my Asus yesterday but the bios doesnt support conroe out of the box.
Whats stopping that waterblock spinning anticlockwise out of its little hooks?
Anyone have anything positive to say about this board....looks nice. LOL that's about all i can tell... ;)
I will be able to tell my feelings about this board later today or tomorrow. I will fetch the package today and install everything, together with a Pentium D 805, so nothing "crazy"...

and why wouldnt they have a bios in it that supports conroe ? wasnt this supposed to be their conroe board ? seems pretty retarded to not have one in the chip if its for sale.
Is eWiz the only place selling it in US right now? What about NewEgg? ZipZoomFly?
jcns has them for preorder, but I ordered from ewiz this morning, hopefully they've got them in stock.(crosses fingers)
need to know max vcore and max vdimm...
Next Step, some RD600 mobos! :D

How do you know it's in stock?
It's avalable in Romania too (has been for a couple of days too), but the price is huge : 880 RON ... that's about 260 euros. (shipping not included). I'm not paying that, that's for sure :). In germany i've seen the price is about 210 plus/minus 10 euros, but ETA is July.
I doubt they have them in stock. You can add 999 to the cart. That tells me that they're accepting orders for product they don't yet have.
Anyone call them yet??
Thats some cool WCing  :DQuote:

Interestingly, price seems to be falling by the hour at eWiz.com for the board. Went from $242 to $235 in an hour. UPS shipping is at $14.

I just ordered one too while the price was $235. I have some doubts about their inventory but it's saying "in the warehouse".
Soon? I thought these were set for release in late August or early September?Quote:

I called ewiz and spoke to a rep. They are in stock according to her.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think I recall reading that the RD600 chipset motherboards would not be available until late summer. :confused:Quote:

From past experience, I would say that those that ordered have little to be worried about.
I placed mine in cart at $242.05, then as I was checking out, happened to open a second window where the price had fallen to $235 and I snatched it. It showed up in my cart as two different items, one for 242, the other for 235. Now I'm seeing it up at 242 again. Maybe its listed twice?
Hehe I confirmed stock but they were unsure HOW MANY they actually had in stock.... when I put it in the cart it was 242.50. Haha $80 for overnight delivery to Toronto!Quote:

Are you guys going to use the motherboard with the older CPUs until conroe releases or do you all already have a Conroe ES on hand?
I will be getting my board either tomorrow or Friday but I still don't have a Conroe CPu onhand.
I'm going to use my old P4 630 with it till I get Conroe or Allendale.
I'm gonna be using mine with Pentium D 930 for a few months. I'll wait for Conroe's prices to go down before i buy it. My entire rig is based on Pentium D for now.Quote:

ok, that explains why the other guy got an email from JNCS and i haven't. If they don't get mine until Friday, i'm going with Ewiz and i'll cancel the JNCS.Quote:

yea thats exactly what i asked her on the phone, and she gave me that exact awnserQuote:

It didn't come w/ free shipping. I went through the entire checkout with the 242.50 board, then thought to have a look on froogle right before I submitted the order.
It's like a coupon/promotion thing. If you go through Froogle, you get the discount. Just like not so long ago, over 80% of online retailers would give you a small discount if you put in "pricewatch" as Promotion Code or Discount Coupon.
When i order mine I will still use my 840D EE until Conroe is available.
Mine is marked 'shipped' at ewiz! Ordered this morning...
mine too, can't wait
Mine shipped to!! I should have it on Friday.
I ordered mine last night at almost midnight...it's shipped :D
 Ditto here. Shipped!
Is it just me who thinks that $235 is too much for a mobo ?
I think it's a ton for a mobo, but I don't think we'll be seeing any top of the line boards for much cheaper than that. I'm curious as to what the boards with RD600 will be costing
Have you jad experience with MIPS blocks? Are the bases made out of copper or alum?Quote:

The fact that msot of these boards have so many parts connected through heatpipes so its not one piece that neads to be water cooled but many, makes me want to avoid chipset cooling (unless it makes a major difference in oc (100mhz + or maybe 200mhz+))
any previews of this board?.. i'm thinking about placing my order. received the $235 quote as well when i went through froogle, and it was $242 without froogle.
Froogle Link Here
CPU waterblocks (Swiftech Storm) fits snugly on this board, leaving a tiny bit just over the capacitators around the CPU socket. Not a problem!
HDDs, motherboard & Pentium D 805, very el-cheapo, but whatever:

Running currently at 3.7GHz on stock volts, no internet yet though so I have to transfer stuff between the computers with a USB stick. One thing is funny though, stock SPI time was 47s, and when the system is OC'ed to 3.7Ghz the PI time is INCREASED to over 1 MINUTE. Maybe I am doing something wrong, but I don't understand what. I even lowered the timings which should give better times in SPI. But obviously something is wrong...
I have updated to the latest bios, all drivers installed and so forth...running very smooth.
Now I just need a Conroe and the system is almost complete :)

Nice! If I go 975, it will be this board or the MSI 975. Still unsure with the prospect of the Intel 590 and rd600 forthcoming.
trying to get the perfect board since I went through these socket 939s.
Asus a8n (2)
DFI nf4 lp SLI-DR (2)
Asus a8n32
Asus a8r32 (current)
MSI k8n Diamond Plus (current)
I am really interested in how they all over clock.
u mean nforce 590?
anyway hows the OC feature? i jus order it from newegg ( lol ), nut not sure about its ocing features. does it have like options for vcore vdimm vmch ...
Yeah, I meant to write Nvidia Intel 590. They are both 590 for AMD and Intel, that is why I was trying to differentiate the two.Quote:

readem and weep full house of slowness
I wouldn't touch a Nforce with a 10 foot pole if you want to go c2d. Face it nforce is for AMD, not Intel.

I don't know why they left one SATA port out. There are actually six SATA headers on the board. Two are designated for EZ RAID. Another header can be used with an external SATA device to form another RAID array. There's also an external SATA port.
Beautiful watercooling systems :p
The 4th Sata provides a seamless link to the SIL 4723 SATA chip. It is then able to do raid across ICH7 SATA drives seamlessly.
PS I'm still on the fence about 590/SLI vs the P5WDH...
My board seems to arrive next week :D
The OC features are OK; most of the features you need are covered. Voltage change for CPU, Mem, MCH and southbridge. I can't remember exactly everything, but there's enough features for decent overclocking. Its not a DFI, but still...I think most will be happy with it. Seems very stable too, not a hitch up yet.Quote:

anyone think there will be better boards for overclocking conroe released between now and end of july (or 1st week in august)?
I dont expect to see any new boards anounced until Autum now. There are loads comming. I expect to see a new generation ready for Xmas
Yes, next week I will receive my Asus P5W DH :D
simonmaltby, not neccesarly asking about new boards being anounced just released (ie msi's 2nd generation 975x which seems to be working well with kentsfield, gigabytes new 965 and 975 boards)...
Ah ic.... i recon if the boards were at Computex they will be released in July / August. Anything that was not displayed, in some form, there will be later in the year.Quote:

zzf has it in at $279, I will wait for the price to move to something more reasonable (either there or newegg or somewhere else I have used before, ewiz seems to have good raitings unless you need to rma something so I am somewhat warry).
