Give me a few months and i should have a black v1000 kitted out without detroying the overall appearance of the case (ie. all water cooling parts will be inside case). No pics yet I'm affraid and I won't be releasing sketchs until i know it will all work :), sorry.
Im also deciding between a V1000 with a PA120.3 inside. Going to be tough to fit so im leaning towards a V2000 now.
dude, its tough to fit a BIP3 in a V2000
Is it hell. Fitting a triple rad in a v2xxx series case is simple! See http://www.over-clock.com/ivb/index.php?showtopic=14248

Cheers dude, sorry to jump thread afireinside.
Both is relatively pointless.Quote:

Ok so the PA160 would be up to the job with a low cfm fan.
Check the WC gallery (above)
I have a V2100 and is planning on mounting a PA120.3 on the outside above, when time is right I might open the top of the box up, but I'm not sure since the motherboard is upside down in this case and it might interfere with the cards, so I'm doubtful if it would be wise to lower it into the case, but having the case opened up wouldn't pose a greater problem I think. Basically, I think it would be pretty nice to open up the bottom of the case and have the radiator there, however far from optimal I guess, but there is enough room for sure ;)
Overall I'm extremely happy with the case, especially with the large nice compartment below where my enclosed HDDs now are sitting, and it is absolutly wonderful to fill with noise dampening materials.
Syranide.
read your post about a silent water setup. Im after exactly the same. Ive changed my mind on a few things thanks to your info u recieved.,
I plann to cut the bottom of the V2000 and mount the PA120.3 there.
I have a watercooled V1000B.
D5 pump > Storm G5 > BIP2 > Aquatube
Aquastream > BIP > Twinplex Pro NB > Twinplex GPU > Aquatube
I got pics somewhere... let me dig em up.
Looks nice marci :) V2000 is a bit large for my wants though. I was thinking about a BIP3/GT240 off the back with a rad box... Would that work?
Triple fits in the top of a PC-70 nicley
My PC-61:

Click image for thread, you can do similar with PC-7.
The pa120.3 setup in a v2000 will outperform it - but mine looks better :p:
Looks nice unreal. I need 4 HDDs though :(
if you can go with full-tower then you can have 2 radiators or even 3 radiators inside one case, I'm talking about V2xxx Series and you can see the picture below, it still can hold up to 6 HDDs which only 4 HDDS shown in the picture

sdkevin,
Very good mate, what rad is that on the roof, U have any other pics of it. At least i can keep the HDD racks when i get the V2000 case with a PA120.3 at bottom.
My Lian Li PC-7 :)

specs: D5, Swiftech micro res, storm, silverprop cyclone fusion, bip2, masterklear 7/16 tubing
supn like this is mine. if you wanna go triple rad you gotta go bigger than a v1000 i nthe v series or just use the pc-xx

Mate any more pics with the rad installed on the roof, how tight is it with the fans also on the rad when
running the tubing.
It looks wicked just i think with a SLI setup it will be too tight? whats your thoughts mate as i see you running SLI.
As Roli said...you will have more options of keeping everything inside with a bigger case if you want a triple rad. Depending on what you are cooling you may be able to get away with a smaller rad.
Here is my failed attempt at going with an external rad enclosure. I was using a Watercool HTF3 at the time.

You just beat me to the post, actually looks good in that inclosure, maybe back id of gone for but i still like it mate.
Thanks. It was just a bit too tall when it was all said and done. Looked a bit awkward.
sephiroth8748 > Nice setup. I like the external mount without a radbox :)
el rolio > That is perfect! How did you do the top mount? Just made the openings with a hole saw? Only thing I'm wondering about is how do you deal with 4 fans intake and only 1 out?
lol thanks. It helps that the PC-7 has a 120mm as its exhaust fan :)
i like the green :D
I love it!!! Got more pics? This is exactly what I have in mind with a PA120.3. That guide makes the cutting a lot easier, I would assume. No hole cutting.Quote:

well it would have been nice to cut the rectangualr type shape like shonuff did bu i took the easy way out for my first large cut like that and used the hole saw and made 3 big holes etc.Quote:

after that i redid the loop slightly, put hte fans on top with gaskets and neoprene in between the rad and case, got it pulling air thru, redid my internal fan's too and now its MUCH cooler overall.
now its like:
front lower HDD fan blowin out. (fan controlled down to 5-6v)
rear mobo section fan blowin out (yate @5v)
3x yates on rad pulling up and out
lol the chipset fan on the jing ting cooler doesnt ever startup now. ha. ok ima take pics and show it this time.

one more thing: you can internally mount a triple in a v1000 without giving up the pci slots and depending on the thickness of your rad, you may be butted right up against your top vid card in SLi. oh and this requires 25mm fans, so no panaflo here. its possible, and i would liek fully internal myself, but i also like my audigy card which i worked hard to get!
As you will see space was a big issue here with the V1000.
Hopefully you are not planning on running a SLI set up or using an add in sound card. Again, with the internal mount you are very limited on space.
This was w/ my IC7-Max3 and my "European" set up.
