Enjoy :D
It's a sweet looking board.
Problem? No ICH8-R.
Very nice board, well featured. However I doubt it will be the best overclocking board and that is what I am looking for.
LOL altavista certainly does some rough translations (yes I do understand that translating is ridiculously hard)
Its quite and awesome board.
Mostly, ill be buying this, as I need a damn Crossfire Supporting board. RD600 isnt supp to release till like August/Sep.. Which is sad :(.
I can't believe they put a 4pin power connector .... :(
Why crossfire only on the good looking asus boards? I dont feel like doing a complete changeover and get rid of my vid card aswell.
Because Crossfire is only for the 975X chipset. And those are the premium boards...
if it wouldn't have an heat-pipe and a parallel port, I would get it.
that's my board man!
just ordered one and it should be shipped on 21. June! (some shops equal with their dates).
and for ~200€ excl delivery it's right at my price! *yeeehaw*
Great let us know how it clocks!
ROFL the babelfish translation:
:ROTF:Quote:
8 stages of the food
But the 4 pin power is holding me back and it wonders me if this board is as good as P5WD2-E Premium
What's so great about the ICH8-R?Quote:

not much. advanced hardware monitoring features and "Intel Fast Memory Access" technology are the biggest points. the last technology is senseless. because latencys do not have such a big effect on Intel based systems...Quote:

Damn, that just seals the deal for me! :p:Quote:

i like that fan you can put at the end (or the beginning) of that heatpipe/fins mechanism. should work well.
Intel prescotts and preslers do not require EPS12V (the 8 pin power connector) this is required only for XE cpus (955,965).Quote:

So you can't run 955's and 965's on this board :stick:Quote:

A food hard disk? This will do perfectly with my lunch date with Conroe, can't wait to pull out the tablecloths. Stable food delivery too, how can you go wrong?
On a serious note, that 259 Euro pricetag ain't pretty.
"Core 2 Duet" :D
preslers do require EPS12V (the 8 pin power connector) :)Quote:

:(
Does anyone know the MSRP for the US? (or the range expected)
Would prefer the 975X revised with the ICH8-R on it. Digital pwm shouldn't be something Asus is last on board for too.
Gotta see some reviews, just can't order blind .. :(
I make test this week-end :D
just got this board today.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...ofIMG_1081.jpg
but the problem is vcore is locked !!! i can't change the vcore at all. Waiting for the update BIOS
some test

congrats on the board , would love to know how it handles high fsb .where did you buy it from?
i'm not buying it. It's a sample from ASUS.Quote:

How high are those caps near socket?
I`m interested cos I want to use Scythe Ninja with it.

you mean for sure ......if the board is in horizontal position
because of the heatpipe ? This is an interesting question for me as well
Maybe that's what u think but it's not correct. Pls give me an evidence of your opinion.Quote:

nice CJ ...you are the very first
more
thanks for sharing Infos.
but what exactly is "FSB Termination Voltage"?
but good to know that you can overvoltage the Northbridge itself ;) on my P4C I have to rise the AGP Voltage to do so...
and: would you be so kind and tell me if you can disable SATA2 Legacy (you know, this thingie that SATA2 drives are recognized as IDE drives in Windows). that was the reason why my Abit Serillel 2 didn't work properly (only worked with PIO...)
€: seems like the Germans are most interested in this Mobo :D
greetz to all forumdeluxxers :D
this is mine with new BIOS :D, cooling with Air.

3,7@410 fsb on air with a 6600 stepping 4 and so lala cooler ;-)
impressive !
Apparently Asus site is wrong... don't guys understand that? If someone who actualy has the board tells is it's 450 and he shows a picture to proof it... Then I know what to think....
I can't believe you're arguing with someone that owns the board.Quote:

So please tell me.Thank in advance.
Sorry, I must edit my signature because the Corsair memory is on the road, for the test actually it's OCZ 5400 4-4-4-12Quote:

I installed Clock Gen and it's possible to have a FSB 500MHz but even if I take 450, it remains blocked to 422...
My best score today with SuperPI is 13,594. My bios is 0065 and I have see Kyosen with fsb 450MHz and bios 0401.
9x423 is :stick: more than 3,8 GHz on air with a 6600
without any mod....
this is great CJ !!!
this board is looking promising, can't wait for some to start hitting the shelfs in the us
it is possible to know where to download bios 0065 and 0401?
default that bios there is?

Nice clocks on that E6600.
CPU-Z has trouble reading Conroe speeds. Try using Crystal CPUID instead.
http://crystalmark.info/download/index-e.html
Just click on the left-side screen for the latest version.
just disable eist in biose .its becouse iest jumps in when idle . to save energy .is it 2xprime stable there? nice clock .what voltage you feeding the cpu ,1,7?
On some boards like the Bad Axe, EIST can't be disabled in BIOS, at least not to my knowledge. I'm not sure if the Asus board has a setting.
Crystal CPUID will read the correct speed, even at idle.
how far can you go with prime? would you please so kind and test 15 or 30 minutes?
first of all hello to every'1, this is my first post here, been arround for a while reading on conroe etc and thought its really time to join in on the fun :)
P5W DH sure looks like a nice board but now im not sure about either to get a P5B Deluxe or P5W DH especially the difference between both is arround +/-15 euro, btw does the board feature that "asus cpu multiplier unlock" thingy...?
thanks,
