good work :cheer:
Whats the point of it ?
That's a low as host, here's a mirror :D
BTW a neat proggy :)

So you could cheat better, of course :slap:Quote:

hum, tested the calculator - check the following screend and calculate the score.
http://erazzed.er.funpic.de/files/3d...-1130_2400.jpg
the screen shows 3840, the calc calculates 3841... doh xD
some rounding-bugs?

:)
Thats 1 mark +/- its from the formula.. if the score is under xxx.5 the score vill be xxx , if over the score will be xxx + 1 .
k :)
strange that the screen doesn't work - but nevermind. ;-)
Nice little program
yepp is very cool to be able to check if more OC is worth the Effort or if a QuadCore can pump up yoour GFX even better. Ok, u have to have screenshot of other systems and your gfxScores would get higher with other CPUs, but you'll get the direction^^
iLL
Nice job M3kk!
Interesting to see what CPU scores do for a score the higher the graphics tests go.
nice little software M3kk..
any updates???
10x boys,
What updates you needed ? :)
do we need requirements before using the software? because it doesnt work anymore on my pc... well it works well before. i already downloaded many times but now, it seems not working.... no idea why..
it works :D
i like it but wats it dot TBH? it just seems to tell me the score i have just viewedo n the screen.?
Nice. Was afraid that i lost a bit points with my x1950xtx but pumping the cpu score from my 2176 to some well oced conroe-ish score doesnt give me many hundred more points!
Like bumping the cpu score to 2850 only gives me 300 more points!
Edit: No wait... cant look at it like that, with better cpu u will get more fps in sm2\sm3 too so score will raise more than that! dammit....
Right?
M3kk you little devil :D Nice stuff
With no SM 3.0 support, the Graphics score is .75 SM2 to enter in the formula.Quote:

good ware from now on we never need marking just cal haha~~~~~~~
Nice little program and it works thanks :D
Welcome :)
Thx :toast:
nice tools, will try it later. big thanks :-)
szép munka :)
grat!
The Algorythm for calculating the scores can also be found in tom's hardware review: 3DMark06 Review
Ok, and? :P
Good job - are there people who can cheat at 3dmark, or is this just to prove those dodgy photoshops are fakes?
Know it'd be really inaccurate, and much more difficult, but if this could be expanded so you select you CPU, RAM and GPU and it gives you an estimate of what score you'd get.
If you could get that working, then incorporate CPU and FSB clocks along with RAM clocks and timings and then GPU clocks as well - now that would be an awesome app.-
I cant do that, because the score depends on vga ram timings, shader clocks, tweakings, drivers, etc. :)
Sure, there would be a heck of a lot of variables to take into account, and it might not be possible to get all of them working. I'm just looking for some sort of way of determining what sort of CPU/GPU increases could improve you to beat a certain score, or how many point CL3 over CL4 on the RAM is going to give you etc.
If not a program that takes all into consideration, maybe people can post this sort of info from experience?
e.g.
CL3 vs CL4 vs CL5
DDR667 vs 800 vs 1066 etc
3600Mhz - 7 x 514 FSB vs 8 x 450 vs 9 x 400
GFX - GPU increases vs RAM increases?
I don't think RAM has any effect on the 3dmark score...
Ahhh...maybe I should test my theories before posting next time :D
Useful bit of code--thanks!
Kinda neat.
Thanks!
Its terrific... to test i tried an existing score-
SM2 -4833
HDR/SM3 -4627
CPU -3274
3d mark gave me 11085
so i typed into calculator, got 11086
Terrific really, gives me 1 extra point... lol
Nah i guess taking that small amount (rounding difference i guess) its terrific, if your looking to see GFX vs CPU change to your system etc.
Yes, because the score is : 11085.5142595350 , and 3DMark is rounding from 0.7 or not :D.
I realise that lol... Funny that they chose to round from .7 and not the conventional .5 up.
Its not 100% that .7 .. maybe they dont rounding..
@NickS, u got a PM for a mirror :).
@Others, i need some mirrors for the calculator, thanks :).
Ha...Dragut programel ;)
Congrats!
No problem at all in ubuntu with wine emulator.
Thanks a lot.
Props to you mate this thing is very helpful!
I'm sorry, but I fail to see how this is helpful. If you have any of those scores, you would've run the benchmark, right? So, you should've gotten your results right?
Maybe someone can explain?
It helps you calculate the impact of every score in the total score. Of course those calculations are pure theoretically (ex: with the same VGA but different CPU you will have different SM2/3 scores)
It is also helpful for those who have a target score and need to improve one of the 3 scores.
Example : You have 5000 SM2, 5000 SM3 and only 2000 CPU. If you want to see how will you're system will aprox. score with a better CPU you only have to input a larger CPU score (3500-4000 for example).
thanks a bunch for this!

and the result of futuremark:

Thanks, it's very useful for me...;)
quite nice, now we can see what we get
:DCode:---------------------------
3DMark2006 Calculator
---------------------------
'h4x0r' is not a valid floating point value.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
Now just add a hardware database to it, so we can select cpu model, frequency, ram ammount, timings, fsb, chipset type, gpu model, shpu clocks, and it calculates the score for us - that might friend, will deserve a $10 donation from me :)
That cant be made, because :
- tweaking
- optimal fsb:ram ratio
- gpu, memory, shader clocks
- vga memory timings
- drivers
- os used, etc. :).
This program is more for verification and/or to check how many points you need to obtain a score, and where..
good tool
nice work mate
r the links working or not???
i think links r dead or some thing is wrong ...
This thread is 2 years old so no links dont work
The first link is working well, the second isnt..
Well, with formulas you can make calculator by yourself
you need just excel :)
but I had some problems with Vantage final score
GPU and CPU scores are almost ideal
Weighted GPU and Weighted CPU must be constant, but it seems they vary depending on whether CPU score is higher or GPU
Final score is calculated by formula
3DMark Score = (Weighted Graphics + Weighted CPU) ÷ ((Weighted Graphics / Graphics Score) + (Weighted CPU / CPU Score))
in performance test must be
Weighted GPU = 0.75
Weighted CPU = 0.25
but let's see some pictures
here
http://hwbot.org/signature.img?iid=3...se&iehack=.jpg
CPU score is 33% more then GPU score
and we have some changes
Weighted Graphics is about 0.8
Weighted CPU=0.2
another one
http://hwbot.org/signature.img?iid=3...se&iehack=.jpg
CPU score is 3.5 times higher then GPU score and
Weighted Graphics=0.93 !!!
Weighted CPU=0.07!!!
and final example
http://hwbot.org/signature.img?iid=3...se&iehack=.jpg
CPU score is 63% of GPU score and
Weighted Graphics becomes 0.66
and Weighted CPU=0.34
so if CPU score is... well let's see... about 2 times higher then GPU score then you don't have to push your CPU any harder
it won't make sense...
but if your GPU score is much higher then your CPU score you can improve 3Dmark vantage result by pushing CPU harder or changing it with better one
3D mark 01, 03, 05, 06 and Vantage calculator

3D mark 01, 03, 05, 06 and Vantage calculator V. 1.1 :D
Fixed bug:
Calculate 06 score when HDR/SM3.0 Score N/A
Added:
Calculate 06 score by FPS in each test
Thank u soso ! :)
that's pretty cool
