7900GT and Venice @ 3DMarks

This is my result with Single Core Venice 3000+ @ 2880mhz with Gigabyte 7900GT 1.5v only and no vmem mod...the PCIe freq is at 125 and it alllow me to bench on 776/931...:) :)
I dont know what will come with dual core.....:p: :p:

but as i compare yours to mine, i am confused

how is it in 01SE i scored nearly as high or higher than you on alot of the tests, but in Game Test 4 Nature, where yours beat mine by a mile....and then, again in 05, we scored almost identically, until the last test.......seems really odd to me that my 7900GT(1.5v also) at 700/900 and 110Mhz PCI-E bus speed would even keep up or beat yours in some tests with yours running so much faster on both core and memory and 15Mhz higher PCI-E speed, but then....

i dunno...something doesn't add up.....

no LOD tweaks or anything?

Yo, I'm CPU limited and you already running on Dual Core... I need at least 3ghz to score higher...btw, on 01SE i did, Nature-Dragothic-Car Chase-Lobby, that improve my score arround 500-800 points. also on car chase i need to lower my speed to 751/931 for lockups issue... dont know in 05.... anyway its LOD+3....

many people gain higher gpu core when adding up pcie freq... i cant bench @ 776 on 3dmark05 @ 120 mhz, bump it to 125 add 10-15mhz in core...
its not safe for Sata Users above 120mhz since corrupt might be happening, if you go with pata, 135 would be nice.....

Nice setup and score, just need to wait and see if their a glut of 1MB cache 939 processors if people move to Conroe ... maybe a nice FX-55 will be within range :) Or phase ?

Those were all done with a stock XP install, no tweaks whatsoever, 91.28 driver, 700/1800 clockspeeds, 110Mhz PCI-E speed

now compare yours to mine and you will see that something looks awfully wrong

This may help you a little:

Windows resoloution to 640x480, 256 colours. No wallpaper. Disable show icons using all possible colours. Get the active service list down to the 10 or so you need. This will free up memory...

i found the value from bios info .....is it accuracy??

on that voltage, how much the coolbits detect?? if it higher than 560mhz, than thats a real 1.25v since most 1.2v only arround 550-560mhz even on water....

I dont realize its a dual core 7900GT.... I thought GX2 only a naming from Albatron.... Are u running it on quad SLi??? or only single GX2... Seems to me Quad SLi is not as better as 7900GTX on SLi especially in compatibility issue....

okay, you have good memory on that card since it was fabricated with 1.1ns chips....
since you have BC type of Chips, i believe its already factory overvolted since BC running on 1.8v and ALL 7900 Series already running on 2v... dont Vmod your Mem (2.1v is the max though)..

it is a guru3d fixed 87.25 fw......not a good driver, sometime sys hang without reason but other cant recognize the catrds:mad:

maybe the Coolbits doesnt support GX2 on Auto OC????

im trying to say that 1.1-2.0ns chip were from the same waffel and usually it was tested (to what speed it can run). some bad chips cant run on 1.1ns and were labelled to lets say 1.4 or 1.6 (according the tests)... luckily most of them can run higher speed with overvoltage it... thats why most 7900GT (that has 1.4ns) can Bench on 900+ and some stable on 800+ (due to overvolt from nvidia to 2.0v).
Samsung doesnt lie... it was nvidias design to run the mem on overvoltage...

Have a question, can be 125 :confused: any damage of system od card :confused: What about long running card on this

i dont suggest you running for long time with 125mhz... anyway different system might have different results... some system cant use more than 110mhz, due to stability issue... for sata users 120 is the safe bet, for pata 130+ is still reachable... im using 120+ only for Benching.. on daily 100 - 105 is the safe place...

We got pretty simular systems, but your ram clocks and cpu clocks are higher then mine. Still I score a lil higher then you on 06. Did you run with high/normal quality?

well at SM3 test, the "VPU recover" kicks in, thats make my sm3 score lower than you... usually on Canyon Flight test it start to kick in, and run at oc again at deep freeze... dont know why.....

Well then you need to get better cooling :toast:

Edit: you're benching with 512mb ram and afaik it matters allot on 06 ;)
