Ive been wondering myself what the deal with 2T is. Ive seen it a lot with the AM2's.
Could be since the lower density double sided clocks that well but my guess is that this is single sided of something else. If thats the case it would make it much better than elpida. (especially since AM2 has issues with alot of ram)Quote:

I was really hoping AM2 would exceed the bus speed of intel since they have an onboard IMC but so far that appears to not be the case

Ya AM2 apparentally is really rough on RAM. I know in the early kits there was a good deal of concern to find RAM that would be compatible with it since most of what was on the market then has serious scaling issues (like what Im sure you have seen) I just dont understand why AM2 is so rough on RAM, meh I guess we'll find out at some point.Quote:

I personally wasnt privlidged enough to get a pre-release AM2 kit or I would be posting here as well. That being said your results and those I've personally seen fall in line with what is normal for the platform.

Im not sure on IC's on these, I know a few of the OCZ beta testers have it and love it and they mostly have intel rigs so this may be a good budget buy for conroe maybe.
Presently sitting at 3800MB/s in memtest86+,saw 4100 with a 2gig kit earlier. These are numbers i never expected to see on an AMD rig.
Ram clocking in general will continue to favor AMD. Cool stuff, very nice bandwidth.

its all TRAS, lower the better in a huge way, much more than DDR1. I wish 10 was stable here but not to be...anyway, not bad for a low latency 667 part ;)
Heh, you can imagine how I felt when I was beta-testing BT-3. I had a binned set of 1GB and at 1070 5-3-3 my friggin intel rig put out 4440 MB/s @ 310 FSB. Ive yet to see anything like it in terms of bandwith since then.Quote:

5-3-2-4 2.3V ddr1000+ on an Asus... I seem to remember talking to Fugger about it as he was pushing some huge memory benches at the time.

5.5K is where I left off, I am sure I can easily duplicate it with current OCZ XTC 8000's I have.

Yup these are the EPP modules.
Now i have a feeling you need the foxconn to get this bandwidth...im working with a reviewer or 2 to see if other boards are doing this also.

We are testing DDR2 IC's for a new VX line....VX2 will probably be the new name...;)
3-3-3 at 800 and 4-4-4- at 1000 are what we are looking to spec them at maybe, this will need slightly higher voltage but i know this will not scare you lot here ...LOL
Im priming now at 4-4-4- ddr2 1000 with a 4000+ at 300x10 with the 667 mode on the Foxy AM2 mobo, i tested 3-3-3- 800 earlier and this was fine also, so things do look good for a quick release.
Hopefully these modules will be a little cheaper also but please don't quote mo on this, it all depends on how much testing we have to do etc.
More news soon.
Aren't VX technically value modules? For value modules, 4-4-4 @ 1000 is truly pimp.
VX stands for Voltage Xtreme. These will rated at 2.2V or higher.
Oh ok, thanks Ryder. 2.2 is not too much to ask for that speed and timing set.

I have an FX62 also, issue is the 4000+ and the FX clock to exactly the same max..LOL....so looks like the 4000+ may be the new opty 165 ;)

I have a few kits but they all have different IC's, I will run off some 4x1gig action as soon as i get a second kit here which is due to arrive soon.
being honest 2gigs is all you really need for games etc, all 4 modules does is 4 way interleave and lower the overclock a little ;)
