hi ket,
please upload or send me the latest your P5Q mBIOS file. (v2209)
megaupload link not work anymore. ;-( Thanks!
All the files are in the pits of oblivion. You can blame the FBI and their totally over the top rampage they went on. I hope they are getting their arses sued off for all the peoples personal data they completely ignored, destroyed and/or disregarded on their rampage.
Is there any way that we can motivate you that we get a new Set of mBIOS?
My P5Q deluxe got exchanged and i cant find your BIOS in my Backup :(
Point me in the direction of the latest Intel Option ROM that works properly on the P45 chipset and I suppose I'll make one last mBIOS batch. Call it the final hurrah as the boards are approaching 5 years old.
Does anyone have a copy of the last mBIOS Ket posted for the P5Q Deluxe (based on 2301)? :)
Hi Ket - 9.6.0.1014 (the last version you used) seems to be OK. I tried looking at other versions and saw mixed evidence of troubles with 10.x versions of the option ROM, including something to do with the filesize being too large. I can try to keep looking around.
Thats why I used 9.6, proved stable and reliable. Newer versions, as you have seen for yourself, are problematic.
Hi, could anyone upload last ket´s mbioses pack for p5q deluxe? I´m still on 1702m but downloaded this file lota time ago. Thanks!
If I can be arsed (and its sort of a big if) I'll remake the mbioses, I doubt anybody has them on their drive. I guess if I did make one very final batch I could dub them "5th anniversary special" or something. :/
Hey ket! I think these mobos still can be very useful and ur bioses are very good. I'm sure I could join mbioses if I check my hdds, let me know if would be useful for u for that 5th anniversary pack ;)

Ket, you're awesome ^_^
Anyhow, here is a link where I found a bunch of Option ROMs - http://www.win-lite.de/wbb/board208-...ts-extrahiert/
10.1.0.1008 I think is the last version that people managed to get work on their boards, but it's unclear that it works as well as 9.6 for most people. I did see one fellow report that 10.6.0.1091 worked, but I'm not sure if that was with the standard BIOS or with the UEFI.
Updated 1st post with a link for source files.
Great Ket! Will flash from 1702m to 2301m laters and will make some tests. Thx!
I said SOURCE FILES!! AKA, I have everything set up and organised to start the work but NOTHING HAS BEEN DONE YET. Thought that was clear by me using both "source files" in the description and me saying "BIOS" and not "mBIOS". Stop getting so excited people and read the description fully :/
Right soz, take ur time and thx for the effort.
Patience, they will come. I'm just having to look at my options atm. Although it goes against my better judgement I will probably release a P5Q Deluxe mBIOS with the following changes;
Intel O-ROM v11.2.0.1527
JMicron update to v1.07.28
P6 table from P5Q Premium 2406
Memory table from P5Q Pro Turbo 602
Marvell Yukon update to v6.6.2.3
Marvell 88SE91xx update to v1.1.0.L73
This BIOS would need to have its Intel, Marvell and JMicron controllers tested before I would roll out these changes for every board I intend to give one final sprinkle of love to, which is where you would come in RBS as I don't have any P5Q boards anymore.
It´s ok, mount 1 bios with all latest changes or whatever you see and I will go testing as soon as possible, but dunno how many time will get for testings purposes, if anyone more could help would be great too.
Link is up for beta 5th anniversary mBIOSes on 1st post, but for god's sake people, READ THE STUFF IN RED TEXT, and the readme file included for the mBIOS you want to use.
Hi
I'm french so excuse my possible mistakes.
First of all, thank you Ket for the job you made on P5Q bios, it's really interesting, even five years after, great effort !
I'm a newbie on this forum and I can post now since 5 mins that's why you can read the same message on your private message (I've done it just before)
I don't need any help, I just want to give my experience. I've failed this afternoon to boot with the last beta bios. Don't be afraid, I'm OK now 'cause I've reflashed the correct bios.
my config:
Asus P5Qpro and Intel Q9550@3.8GHz (FSB 445, no more)
GEIL PC8500 @ 1069MHz, strap 333MHz
Raid 0 - 3xSamsung SpinPoint F3 (HD502HJ)
current bios 2102 mod
I was interested with this beta bios because of the Intel raid driver update. I have just installed v 11.5 on Windows 7 and it works fine with the actual v9.6.0.14 in the bios rom.
With the beta bios, the computer freezes at the end of the POST, just after the raid configuration screen unable to boot on the raid (even after a clear cmos and bios setup)
Unable to use Alt+F2 for bios flashing utility and Suppr to enter bios setup, it freezes just before, each time.
A last clear cmos gave me the default setup and I was able to boot on an alternative IDE hard disk where I found a correct bios to flash back.
So those are my 2 cents, I think the intel driver is NOT OK with my configuration, I know you've not tested it.
Have a good day,
Aurélien from France.
Hi
2nd try today.
I wanted to test while deleting and recreating raid.
Nothing better, it always freezes after POST, unable to boot disk, to access bios or asus EZ flash.
That's all for me.
Yes, an updated 2301 with memory tables that'll support all DIMM slots populated would be lovely - i get a BCCODE 124 Error on a daily basis -_-
A newer Intel O-ROM wouldn't go amiss too.... ;)
