Well i bought my Maximus from local computer store before it and X38 were even published :D

switches /pbnc /n should work, I used these switches flashing my mb with a modded one.

Can you do this with the P5K Deluxe to the P5K Prem.?

Grr...ASUS is slacking, They still haven't contacted me and its been almost 2 days.

Maximus Formula using BIOS 1004 and an E6xxx
do me a favour and use the stability test of Everest and tell me their temps of CPU, Core #1 and #2?

I am wondering if I have to readjust my CPU cooler.

The real AFUDOS 2.27 version is like an unicorn, there are tons of stories about it but no one have seen it or have it ;)

I have seen many different "AFUDOS 2.27" versions which have all been either 2.07 or 2.17.

Version 2.07
It is not the engineer version and it does not even support the EEMPROM of Maximus / Rampage.

with the rampage bios can get cas4 stable with common performance level of 6
need to test if i can oc it a bit more on this bios but i sure could tighten down some memory. :D

I could only seem to set the performance level as low as 8, what did you do to get 6 or even 7?

What bios settings?

Common performance level 6
Pull-In of CHA PH1 enabled
Pull-In of CHA PH2 enabled
Pull-In of CHB PH1 enabled
Pull-In of CHB PH2 enabled

could only do it in cas4 though, cas5 could not get below 7

im at work now so i cant look at the exact settings but the ones above mentioned allowed me to go lower # performance level as i recall.

also...

this afudos was mentioned as a possible "engineering version" or something. like i said im at work so i can not verify if it works so im passing the buck on to you guys :p:

anyone else experiencing random lock ups during boot?...I'm using BIOS 0907 and every few times it just hangs on the boot screen right after it detects the memory as being OK...I can use the keyboard to hit the delete key and it shows "Entering BIOS" on the boot screen but it never goes past this screen...I have to hit the Reset key a few times for it to boot up properly...is this a problem with this BIOS?

I can now do PL7 @ 500fsb+, needs about 1.6+ vnb tho.

I'm currently doing 8.5 x 500fsb, Cas 4, PL7 set (All pull-ins disabled).

I've got it semi stable at 400x9 finally. Prime ran for almost 8 hours before one of the threads stopped.

I guess NB voltage was the key since I upped it to 1.59V. I'll be testing it on 1.61V tomorrow, guess I'm finally close to knacking this thing.

as for the AFUDOS switches;
