This chip is really hot, this is the max i can do for now on air (BT). Next week i´ll change to wc & if i see it´s worth i´ll take out the ihs.

Okay starting playing with my new system. Got it up to 2,8 gig. 10 hour prime 95 stable at 1,55 V even though the PSU is showing 1,53 often...

Think my Gskill which I run 1:1 at 1T may be on it´s limit though... But trying higher voltage on the CPU to see if that helps :).

But on air I should have gotten a decent chip it feels like :)

Are you kinding me..your cpu temps are great on air....damn the 170 0550 upmw is clearly not as good as these 170 0550 vpmw...so many more excellent results with low vcores

During the pi´s the temps went up to 49ºc, and from what i´ve seen from this chip, passing the 50º barrier almost equal to instant error :(

That´s why i want to try it with water, i think i can reach 3ghz stable then :D

Nealth, referring to this post i´ve changed from a 0546XPMW (max stable 2,8ghz 1,52v) to this 0550VPMW. You can see the difference ;)

I see a lot of people here claiming Super Pi as some sort of stability. Lets see some dual instances of prime and see what happens. i can dual super Pi my 170 at 2.9ghz+, but only prime at 2.82Ghz.

big difference between superpi and prime.

yes prime 95. And minimum 12 hours. I have tried running 280 and have had prime95 blend torture test running 10 hours once before crashing 8 hours another time...

But it just don´t seem possible without changing some RAM settings or anything in a way Idon´t know lol.

This is XS and if a person feels dual spi 32m and games are all they need to make their rig do what the want it to, that's thier choice.

most people would agree Prime95/SP2004 is the "standard" stabilty test for CPU/memory sub-systems. That's all I'm pointing out. It helps to compare apples to apples for stability comparisons.... ie.- Super-Pi stable @ 2.9Ghz does not necessarily = Prime 95 stable @ 2.9Ghz.

This IS the forum thread people come to when they want to see what steppings are doing real well on OC's. :toast:

As dogsx2 says, for me spi stable & gaming is enough stability for the use i give to my computer.

That doesn´t mean that i can show you guys a shot of prime/sp2004 to show stability but i´m going to left it until i get my new wc (& found some time to pass those stability benches).

Most people here know that spi 1m is not as stable as 32m and 32m is not as stable as prime.
