rjblanke,
Did you see an improvement in temps going from a MCRES to a Fillport T-Line? Or is it for convenience?
IanY, I didn't see any temp differences between the two setups, but I'm not using what most here would call accurate temp measuring. The primary reason for it was I wanted to move my pump to where the res was, and the pump and res wouldn't fit there together without tight turns in the tubing. The T-Line kept the loop as simple and short as possible.
Can't remember if i posted this or not, nothing special or fancy, just gets the job done and i can take it places.

cl4w, nice wc system. and what tubing do you use (i like it's color)?
That's Tygon 11/8mm black tubing.
I never posted my pc's on xtremesytems so i might as well post my watercooled rigs.

Sorry I'm wrong! Its an Apogee. I dunno what I was thinking lol :)
I believe that's an apogee with a replacement mounting plate similar to this: http://www.moddersmart.com/index.php...product_id=271
Wow, nice touch and just 5 bucks.
The stock metal plate is ten times stronger but the plexi one looks very nice.
I though it was a one-off home made piece.
Yeah, it's the plexi top from moddersmart.com My stock plate is alot stronger but so far my plexi top is holding just perfect. Sobe Lizard Lava is sure good haha. It is all about brisk though :)
rjblnke, how/where have you routed your 24pin power cable? And could you post a pic of the other side of your rig? I am impressed with the lack of a large power cable blocking ones view. :toast:
I have the same case and essentially the same motherboard, and I am in the process of adding water (I ordered some tygon 7/16" yesterday.) So I am looking around, getting some ideas...
Muunsyr, I believe it's behind the tube in this picture, took the liberty of circling it.

Muunsyr, coyotetu is right, but you can't see in that pic that I removed the plastic piece around that cable hole, widened it a bit with a dremel, and put in some black channel molding. I found that the original size of the hole wasn't large enough to easily route the 24pin through.
Sorry, I don't have any pics of the other side, as I had to borrow my gf's digital cam to take those pics in the first place. I used a couple cable clips on the backside of the drive cage and in the roof of the case to hide away as much as possible. Thats really about it.

 good point. Could always paint the outside of the res black, or get rid of it and put a t-line in.Quote:

Here is the case. Lian Li G70 in silver, with a windowed side panel. They actually sent me the wrong one. I wanted the one with just a window and no holes but they sent the "official" G70 window panel instead. Ah well, it'll have to do. I don't want to pay the shipping to send it back.

Here are the holes for my rad. Believe it or not, I used a Dremel and touched things up with a file/sand paper. Almost perfect circles!

Here is the radiator install. It is designed to blow air out of the case, with the other fan holes acting as inlets. Had to drill out those annoying rivets first.

And here is the top installed.

Here is my initial loop design. Not too shabby. I love this case.

And now leak testing.

The finished product.

And in the dark. Purdy. I was going to use G11, but then my engineer's logic kicked in and said, "This may or may not be bad for a loop, and you are only putting it in because it is pretty. That is dumb." And so distilled water and anti-algea stuff it was.

Hope you liked it. If you have any suggestions I'd love to hear them.
Shifty your system is very nice, but man take the time to hide thoe wires! The G70 is so much potential for cable management that you should make it your number one priority to clean it up:p:
Looks gorgeous, shifty. That case really is a beauty, one of the few I prefer in silver over black. I'd love to see pictures later, to see if the tubes don't cloud since you didn't put any real additives in the water.
Thanks. That dremel work was kinda scary, because I've never cut up a case before. The only way I can see to manage wires better with a bottom PSU is to cut holes in the mobo try, which I'd really rather avoid.
But anyway, I had a theory on the cloudy tube issue. I almost think that it may be that plastic material the pump impeller housings are made of grinding off in extremely small, almost microscopic bits and eventually giving the water a slightly cloudy appearance. That could be totally wrong, but it was a thought. The impeller spins really fast, and you only have water as the lubricant... sooo who knows? That all assumes you cleaned out your rad a ton though first.
