Wow, awesome Singapore photo O_o That building looks like LEXX ship xD
Wow ... nice shots, everyone. The stuff just gets better and better in this thread.
Here's one that is not technically a good photograph, but I love the way it shows the tiniest player on the field taking on the bigger girls (she took a shot in the head earlier, but just kept on going):

It's a good shot Shazza.
What's important is that the ball is still in the frame. I have a bunch of kids soccer shots where the ball isn't even in the frame!
it was leaf raking time...

Nice shot Lestat. It seems like you like that 50mm prime? I was considering one, but the junk-quality has me thinking about the EF 50mm f1.4. The optical quality is apparently very close. :)
i have read the 1.8 is the equal to the 1.4 at many f-stop settings.
for me its not worth the extra $250-$300.
dont worry about the built quality.. you wont even notice it after using it.
you can always pick up a mamiya, zeiss or some other M42 screw mount lens for uber cheap on ebay and just get the M42 to EOS mount adapter.
you use it the good old fasion way but alot of those lenses are unparalleled and for the price the quality is worth every penny x10.
with the M42 screw mount adapter i do not believe you lose much if anything at all, in terms of f=stop but i may be wrong.
Great shot, Lestat. I assume that is your son - he is adorable. Love the soooo serious look on his face, and Mom (assuming again) has a great expression also!
