:banana::banana::banana::banana: slowmode lol
Thanks radaja
NO SLOWMODE feels good, hope it lasts lol
Last try before I go to bed, hope to get some time to learn the board this weekend. Boots from bios with very little effort at 233.

that qpi link speed givin me a hardon
you can also try moving the JIOH jumper there at the NB to the other position and if it doesnt help bclk oc just move it back
@ OC Nub:
Damn, that's a really nice bclk for ambient temps. Could you post your settings? :)
Also, ummm... 29C VREG? Can't be right?
bro
hmm i know u already mentioned to me in KPC that the ioh skew and cpu skew has to be aligned etc..
but eh.. asus having both of it off .. can stabilize high bclk's with high qpi speeds.
so was just wondering to ask again for it.
also is it possible to have a tWL on dram timings like giga boards do.
hmm cause still trying to run a 2k C6 psc on a 920. its like some of the subtiming issue or etc... but works fine on a 980x
also hmm just ordered a 770.waiting for fedex, so wondering what does that jioh jumper do ??
cstkl1, mate, iirc Peter ain't working at evga anymore. Maybe post it to their forums, hope you get heard.
/edit.
Seems like the E770 is a great board and clocks bclk nicely without exaggerated voltages. Seems mine E759 (NB rev1.2) can get there only with some pushing and under cold. Can boot at 21x235 with singlestage... but it's nowhere near stable.
Thanks guys, seems to be a very good board for bclk. Havent done any testing still, just got home. Having fun just getting it to boot with over 230, a number my rex3 will never see. Will save settings and post later. This was 235 set in bios, but comes up a little under that in windows. Im not sure if E-Leet tune reads the temps right but I do have fairly cool air blowing at the open case.

^^nice:D thank you my muse:D
my new UD5 i booted at 230 last night after seeing
your bclk(inspiration)and managed a 1m super pi run
but it crashed instantly when i started prime95:mad:

Nice job radaja. I miss the giga bios, this is a bit different and will take some learning.
Does the E770 have the VT double pump issue when rebooting?
^^ Im not sure what that is.
First test Ive done with the board. Short LinX run 4500mhz 1.388v load, screen shows 1.399v but went down to 1.388 most of the run at load. Could possibly get vcore lower, this was my first try with the board. I have to say I thought it would take more vcore with this board than my UD7 for the same clocks but it is not voltage hungry. VTT, IOH core, and QPI PLL were set same as on the UD7 for 4500 once I figured out how to adjust for the board overvolting, can pretty much use same settings for the same clocks. Unsure about what to set the IOH PLL so I left at default 1.80v, my UD7 doesnt have this setting.
The board doesnt have LLC1 and LLC2 option, so I set it to With Vdroop, the board overvolts when using Without VDroop so I dont like using that option.
The 3rd screen just shows voltages set.

I note a little bit strange behavior of my system:
I7 980x - 016Axxx
EVGA 760 @ 74 BIOS
3x2GB Team 1866 mhz
Corsair HX1000
Water cooling
The CPU is stabile 4200mhz@1.305v in Prime95 small FFT (30 min – max temp 67 degree) and makes 4589mhz@1.529v in Vantage (max temp 83 degree) or 4608mhz@1.517v in Vantage (low BCLK).
The issue:
I increased vcore to 1.56v but I cannot finish Vantage not even at 4620 mhz. I always get windows error “….has encountered an error and need to close...” I tested from 4620 MHz to 4.800 MHz @ 1.56v but I get the same error. After I close error window the system work.
At 4.900mhz@1.56v I get the BSOD.
On SS I only managed 4900mhz@1.62v in Vantage with Idle temp -15 degree and max temp 28 degree in Vantage. The behavior is the same@4940-5100mhz – windows error.
Any idea?

I get Windows Error, "Windows Desktop Manager stopped responding and needs to close" (or something like that) if it isnt stable under full load. Once I increased voltages and get it somewhat stable it doesnt happen.
"Windows Desktop Manager stopped responding and needs to close", is caused by unstable display/PCIe.
Usually means unstable chipset, the BCLK is too high for voltages applied to IOH/chipset.
Didnt know that, thanks.
Ran 06 at 229bclk, 230 set in bios. My Rex3 jumped out of the box and hid behind the couch when I ran this. Im pretty happy with this board.

I have a strange problem, I can not enable or disable turbo. Why is before turbo X? Does anybody know to solve the problem?

Another short LinX run with the new board, the voltage required are just as good clock for clock as on the UD7. Its seems to be a very good board. Idle vcore is high because I didnt use LLC.

^^Thanks, and Congrats on the new build.
5 working days and i've a new mobo in my hands
GOOD WORK EVGA :yepp:
Congrats on new acquisitions OC Nub. I'm glad you're pleased with it. I was wondering if you could put class 3 head to head against UD7 since you own both of them. I'm curious to see more personal observations, from you. :D
Cheers
this new one is by far better than the first one....
240 FULL-mode straight from boot seems promising
