Thanks for trying to help Slim. I am just going to RMA the board. I'll probably get it back in a month.
RMA should fix all your problems
Make sure to list every one in a piece of paper when you send it to ASUS ;)
For all CSX owners
Something weird is happening to me.
I just got my CSX Diablo 4Gbs kit (Thanks Kasparz) and it is Linpack stable [100 times, 1850Mbs of RAM (computer only sees 2.50Gbs)] and Memtest 3.8 stable 130% (running 4 at the time each of 565Mbs). However, when I run Memtest86+ 2.01 (bootable from DOS) it gives me error on Test#3 and sometimes Test#4 even on relaxed latencies @ 1333Mhz.
Right now is on 7-7-7-18 2T 1600Mhz Trc:30 / NBv1.44 (1.47 Real) vDimm 1.84 (1.90 real)
So far, the computer runs fine and I have no freezes, BSoDs, crashes, or problems with anything. Im starting to think Memtest86+ is not a reliable utility to use anymore? (As many of you know, Linpack stresses the heck out of the PC and Memtest is full RAM). I just downloaded OCCT to try it (first time) and check.
What do you all think?
Could it be because of the vdimm drop? I noticed my vdimm is most of the time at 1.90, but drops to 1.89 sometimes. I dont know if this is a big problem.
Anyways, my G.Skills didnt last more than 3 months with 1.86 (1.92 real) so thats why Im using 1.84 (1.90 real) for now, but I will try that anyways. Thanks
Well it all depends on the load. The overvolt can be as much as 0.06 (by a really small amount of time, normally is 0.04)
So weird, I just finished playing COD5 after an hour and no problems. I also ran Memtest86+ 2.01 Test#5 and it passed it 16 times (Ran 48 minutes).
As long as everything works like it should Im happy :D
Cant wait to finish my WC to start adding volts to that NB and overclock my PC!!!
New Bios surfacing on Asus Forums. :) Time for slim142 to decide which bios he likes best. He still is undecided on 901 or 1104  or  ?
BIOS 1202
I have called Asus Support and Bios 1202 only have Enhance compatibility with certain Memory Modules. I have updated from 1104 Bios to 1202 and it works also fine with my System as the 1104 Bios.
Haha, thats because I havent tried 1104 yet  as I have no need to do so for the moment. My wc project is taking long time, but Im spending some good money on it to make sure it lasts  and works good of course
Thats good to hear, gives me more BIOS files to try as soon as I start overclocking again
Hey guys,
Quick question, Im chasing 4 Ghz on this board with a Q9550, to get this i have to run 470 Mhz FSB and the only way to boot at the FSB is with 1.64V NB.
Im on air atm but watercooling should arrive soon, if i can keep temps down, is that still too high a voltage? Can i cause damage?
Thanks
 There are plenty of folks running the NB at 1.6V, I have not seen many over that however. What temperature are you getting on the NB with that kind of voltage, what would be the key to protecting the NB. I have heard that you do not want to get the NB temperature above 65 degrees.
I too recently got a QX9650, start to overclock yesterday. I got to 3.6 and the temperatures on my 1st core of the CPU were hitting 65 degrees under OCCT. I have down started to begin the process of fine tuning the voltages dropping them until I lose stability. Could you share your BIOS setting that have allow you to get to 4G. That is what I am hoping for as well.
I might have to fall back onto this board soon because I'm sending in my eVGA 790i FTW Digital for the new eVGA X58 Board as soon as it comes out. So we will see how well my new(RMAd) Striker II Extreme does compared to my FTW Digital...
This is a nice board. But I wouldn't spend the money on it.
oh there is benefits, rock hard volts. My volts on my FTW digital barely move 0.001 when under load and not. But the new eVGA x58 has 1057Khz PWM, Where the eVGA FTW digital has 800Khz PWM. So I'm not losing anything by the upgrade ^_^. I'm guess The S2E has 500-650Khz PWM. And It's only 8 phase =/. The Better Phase/Khz PWM, The better volts.
Well, the FTW Digital came out well after the S2E so there is no excuse :D
Not that Im trying to be on ASUS side, but Im just posting the facts :D
Btw, Warboy, I hope we can share some more experiences after you get your RMAed board and I get my WC ready :D
