Where'd you get the CPU?
Still not available in Canada...:(
New Everest now reports properly

How is it performing?
I have the files on the stick ready to go so any feedback would be appreciated
I haven't installed this motherboard inside my case yet, I was testing it outside first, and am glad I did.
I have the Asus Maximus Formula motherboard, and so far this board is acting very weird with my Transcend memory. (using an e8400 cpu)
I have four 1g sticks of the Transcend ddr2 800mhz memory (two sets of matched pairs). When I do a memtest on them, I found that one stick out of each pair gives me errors. The other stick out of each pair does not.
If I put the "bad" stick to test back in my previous AMD computer, it has no errors.
So does that mean the memory is still bad? It makes no sense. I've never had this odd problem before with a motherboard.
This is the memory I have:

I managed to flash the board back to Maximus Formula by using a engineer version of AFUDOS.
In the engineer version it is possible to turn off the "security" that prevents flashing in case the current ROMID and new ROMID & version would mismatch.
It is also unneccessary to use loader.rom & khan.exe because the correct bios can be flashed straight in.
Unfortunately I cannot share this version of AFUDOS.
In case Asus would deny bios updates for modded boards by changing the ROMID for Rampage (since the shipments have not started?) I will come to rescue.
Is it not possible to supply this engineer version so people can restore their boards if they don't like the Rampage bios? Or even just hint to a location?
Writting this on my "Rampage".. everything seems to work nicely so far, Ill do a little more testing hopefully this board can push the limit a little further.
Quite a brave move Stilt to flash your maximus in the first place without knowing what would happend, and thanks for informing us about this cool mod.

Here you go, for anyone who doesn't have it. MODS, this should still be within the rules as it doesn't supply a key or activation, just the trial version of the software in the latest incarnation.
bypassing the ROMID without the engineering version---
supposedly, the "/nr” and “/n" switches disable afudos from checking ROMID

my one works fine too :D.
Stilt, you are the man! I personally believe you're doing what Asus should have done (wishful thinking), if only they were a company with any moral standard. makes you wonder how many more crippled boards there are just so Asus can market the next board as the greatest thing.... oh... Commando comes to mind.
PS: Did the mod... for a beta bios, there are no significant negatives. Bios 1003 on the Maximus allowed me to run at TRD 7 well past 500 fsb, this won't . Bios 907 didn't let me do same either. Here's to hoping for that killer bios from asus; and oh... to the Stilt for saving me a couple of hundred bucks! :toast:
Will it bugger up my raid array do you recon
Seems to run better with lower vcore than it did before the mod.
270 FSB, 1.36Vcore, PL7

Andyr - Didn't affect my raid0 array on my C drive
With a fresh OS install it's really flying now.
I can post 525x9 altho not stable but it will post unlike the Maximus.
Everything seems to be running smoothly.
Did anyone require more NB volts for stability after the mod?
