Got passed 3hr but at 3hr 6min one core fail )%]^`#"!&%
Did try LinX but couldnīt get pass 1 run, not good :shakes:
Back to the drawing board and do some thinking.

Unlucky m8. good effort. What a bout a little more VDIMM volts? Mybe 1.85/1.88v??
That is futher than I can get. I cant even get into Vista but I' m runningn lower volts than you.
I will keep trying.
I still believe this board is capable of doing 500FSB on quads for 7/24 IMO because I'm still running it just with high volts :(
I'm currently running vNB 1.69v 7/24 WC for my RE...500FSB on a Q9650, VTT 1.47v
vNB 1.69v
VTT 1.47v
vCore 1.4v
vDIMM 1.93v
FSB Strap to NB: 333Mhz
FSB Freq. 500Mhz
DRAM Freq. 1600Mhz
DRAM Timing 7-6-5-18 1T TRFC 72
ALL CPU GTLs on auto, anything other then that will result in different level of instability
NB GTL vRef: +40mv
NB DDR vRef all auto
CPU Clock skew: 300ps delay <- alignment of your clock signal, different CPU vary in different result.
NB Clock skew: 200ps delay
Ok thanks
I notice that you are running the RAM @1600Mhz. As we have discussed that is not a problem. Its with the ram @ 1800Mhz that is the issue
Thats ok m8 dont worry but thanks for the info.
I have started workign on bumping up my QX9650. I have noticed somehtign strange. What ever I set the CPU Volts to in the BIOS, CPUZ and Everest both read 1.384v. When I stress is the volts go up to 1.4v. Again no mater what I set in the BIOS??????
I have loadline Calibration turned on but not sure if that matters?
Nevermind got a few free time to have a quick test, just to prove the OC ability of an RE.
10 Loop IBT Test, 450 FSB, 4050Mhz 1.325v vCore, tRD 6, CL7-7-7-20 1800Mhz 1:2 divider @1.59v BIOS

No luck with Dominators here... I managed to make stable the system at 480 fsb but only with 1:1..Im trying to see at what fsb my 9650 will stop :D..Right now im testing 490 fsb with 1.360, and it seems to hold strong enough...I put all the ram settings on AUTO(thats why i have 1:1). The same things with dominators as Crazymilk, no boot/instability at 1800mhz,tested on both 1201 and 1104 :(. As you said crazymilk, we have issue at 1800+ here.. ci2kla nice results man
Yeh I think you are right m8- i really dont think these 1800 Samsung Chip kits are good on the x48 chipsets at that speed.
What also make me wonder is that you cannot find the 1800mhz Dominators for sale anywhere anymore and they are not even listed on the Corsair site.
tbh i managed to run everest memory benchmark when running them @ 1800mhz (450 x9 at the rated 8-8-8-24 2t) and the results where no better/quicker than running the domimators @ my stable 1600 Mhz with the tighter timings (7-7-7-21 1t) and PL5 -
Very nice m8. can you get Elpida ram in 4gb kits or is it just 3 and 6GB?
Nice clock though dude..well done
Overnight memtest passed

Just rub it in , just joking :D
Nice ci2kla, very nice, how about 2000MHz Cas8 FSB 500?
2GB / Stick to reach 2000 for X48 is impossible IMO...
I've tried but failed. 1900 or somethin is the limit that I tested so far for absolute statbility, 1950 maybe 32M PI stable at some point...but definitely not for 7/24
btw ghostleader have you tried adjusting clock skews for your setup? It may help alot...
Yep nice results ci2kla.
It certainly seems that the Elpida ram is more friendly than the Samsung chips
Could you guys please do a few tests like...
1. Use one stick only per test
2. Use the white slot (A2 B2) ?
What I thought but 450 1800 is good enough, thank you for your time.
Do you mean ram skews, in that area I havenīt done much tune/test, donīt know where to start, any ideas.
If you mean CPU/NB skew I have done some tests but it doesnīt seems to help in this case.
You mean with 450 1800, shall try it when I get back home, at work right now.
Yeah Im in the white slots and have been from the start.
I will try with one stick and see.
Just been reading through this review:

It seems these Samsung Dominators are tested on the X48 chipset and should be fine to run @ 1800Mhz???
Yep as you said man... on both P5E64 Evo and Gigabyte X48T-DQ6 they ran 1800mhz and they were rock stable.I dont know what is happening with REX... I believe that Ghostleader's theory is correct, 2x2gb(samsung or d9gtr) on REX are no go :shakes: I've tried both 1104 and 1003 bioses, the most stable bioses for oc including 0901, nothing, 0 results...The only thing i found out is that, for mine REX, the best NBGTL is +80mV..I've been playing with ram skews for hours too, nothing, with DDR3vref and NBDDRref, nothing, only bsods and crashes..Im afraid, we'll have to go to a 4x1 kit :shakes: i dont know what else to think...Yeap ci2kla, i have my mems at A2/B2 always ;)
