Drop your Multis to 10x and see if you can boot @ a higher FSB.

I just mounted the Zalman AlCu 7700 and had to fiddle with it for over 30 mins to get a good contact with and without the stock dothan shim off the heatsink. No shim now... still testing.

Set Vcore to 1.6 volts, CPUZ READS 1.520, VAGP to 1.8, VRAM to 1.5 (crap ram)
FSB 245, Multi to 12x = 2920 MHZ all on AIR!

Its not 3D stable yet , SPmod 1M crashes out, but better than my last full cold boot at 2820 MHZ. I think I can squeeze a higher windows SS soon.

RAM = 3-3-3-8-4 AAA , RAM DIVIDER @ 266 MHZ so real ram speed is 180 ish.

Will play with the system more tomorrow, install droop mod and see.

Im going to test this better again at night, but i have tried at 11x, but no effect... Well as far this isn't going to boot at 12x never! :D
Have to try that... What about that adapter jumpers? Some effect really? :O Have to try everything... :)

Whoa, some nice clocks there :D Too bad nobody puts 730/740 under ln2, just the 780's usually. Luckily, I might soon change that situation :rolleyes: :D

thats pretty poor, i would have expected 3ghz..

btw how is the p4p800-se?

I might have to get one coz theyre cheap and cant find p4c800-e dlx's anywhere..

PAT operates only with 500/533er divider on ram over 200 fsb!

If you are thinking about "memory acc"=AUTO.. yes, but it's just a matter of "enable'ing" it.
I run 201x10 at boot an runs ClockGen -file=FSB255.ini at Startup in my P4P800SE-based Dothan-rig. PAT is then "on" and it's not necessary to run Tw865.exe after boot-up.
This is with Bios 1009 (final).

This is with Bios 1009 (final).

It's not fully enabled. Boot at 201 and boot at 200 and you'll find 200 way faster regardless if PAT is enabled on both. (I know - I used PAT right up to 300FSB)

200 fsb is a lot faster coz the asus 478 boards apply lots of tweaks @ 200 but your ram won't get as high with the tweaks on probably..

In P4P800 it's that PAT what makes it faster when FSB:DRAM 1:1 cause it doesn't work if not in sync, and isn't it just locks what would work only over 201?

anyone has P4P800se bios 1009.04? I just got my board from rma and it noway clocks as good with newer bios. Could also be that my adapter got screwd up.........

i have got a problem with my chip. I have been able to run 24/7 at 200*12 all the time since i got mine (mid september), but suddenly it started artifacting in every game i play, unless i lower my dothan back to its stock speed. Stranger still is that priming at 200*12 isnt a problem, i just checked, and its going strong for the past 1 hour and 30 minutes. i haven made any changes except for installing new videocard drivers and the starforce update tool to make gt legends run.
Does anyone have an idea whats going on and how i can solve it?

Looks like that problem is in your graphic card. Check it's fan and try to underclock it. Or try with older drivers? What card u have?

i have the asus v9999ge, thats a 6800nu with the memory and clocks of a gt.
i tried with the card back at stock settings (for benches its oced to 445/1260), and the artifacts stay. With the dothan at stock speed, i get no artifacts, both at stock and at 445/1260. I will try with 81.95 drivers tomorrow or this evening if i get back at a decent hour.
Now im using 82.02 drivers if anyone wants to know.

definitely set the locks to 66/33 or 72/36. maybe up vagp. artifacts are definitlely not a cpu problem, if you don't beleive me, boot at whatever you've been using that you know artifacts. then use eist to drop the mulitplier, and test for artifacts again. they should remain.

also, is your power supply really crappy? dothans dont pull much power, so oc'd and stock are only about 20w difference, but on a really low end power supply, 20w might make it droop or fluctuate too much. stick a multimeter to it

i set the locks at 66/33, vagp at 1.8 My psu is a levicom 500W, voltages seem ok, only the 3.3v is a little on the low side, but i dont know how this would become a problem now after working fine for a few months.
i already tried lowering the multi with cpumsr, and the artifacts dont seem to change.
could it be that the graphics drivers mess with the locks or the cards tolerance for higher agp clocks??

what is your fsb? on changing from a 9800xt to a 6800gt i got the same artifacts.
with the 9800xt i could run fsbs >280 no fuss.. with the 6800gt and pat enabled
i could only go to about 180.. everything over that with pat enabled got me artifacts
now i changed some timings and can now do fsb 311, mem at ~250 (5:4) with the
6800gt.. also.. it's no issue of the powersupply. i had that problem with a fortron
300w, a lc 550w and later on with the ocz powerstream 520w (that i'm still using)
- with no artifacts now. you need to slacken the timings of the nb..
sidenote.. if i want to bench anything 3d >~305 fsb i have to lock agp at 72/36,
vagp @1.8v

this was with a pm760 @ 2.6 to 2.8g on a p4p800-se

anyway... i could narrow the issue down on the fsb, since i could run 15x166 and
not get artifacts, or i could run 200x10 and would get artifacts - same voltages
and a lower overall clock, but higher fsb... so i went to work with clockgen, from
the bottom up to see at what point i would get artifacts.. in my case it was around
180... no matter what everything else was set at.

i could also elimnate the card - even underclocked it, because initially i was
thinking the power supply was lacking.. didn't matter, the card would do
way more than stock without showing artifacts in another rig, with all parts
the same but the mainboard...
it's the nb-strapping, pat & and timings :) - took me some time to figure it
out
