hey bro, thanks for the help, i got my xp load screaming, i am lovin it, can't wait to build one for the r3e........ :yepp:

I joined btw :D
Commando is the best board for clocking Cedar Mills imho, but you'll still need mods for it, Vcore and Vdroop is easy but OVP is a bit tricky.
11th Yeah, great.
Fighting a great team :)
question, i am playing around with a e4400 that has a multi of 10
no matter what i do it will not go above 359 fsb, i tried almost every setting, also changing multi,
once it hits 359 fsb its not movin no matter what i throw at it....
any suggestions, i have tried most the bonehead stuff, but i never saw this before....

Processor Number E4400
# of Cores 2
# of Threads 2
Clock Speed 2 GHz
L2 Cache 2 MB
Bus/Core Ratio 10
FSB Speed 800 MHz
FSB Parity No
Instruction Set 64-bit
Embedded Options Available No
Supplemental SKU No
Lithography 65 nm
Max TDP 65 W
VID Voltage Range 0.8500V-1.5V
That sounds like a very low FSB-wall...
Can you try that chip on another board?
Yeah, I'm pretty sure the CPU is to be blamed here... Nice work on the E6600 though!
And thanks to some submissions by systemviper, SlaveOnDope and our new member quattro_, it's done:

15k!!!

Congrats Gents!
Thanks! :)
SteveRo submitted his first scores today and brought the PCMark Vantage WR back to XS!
Well ran out of quad cores, so i put the UD3P on the shelf for a while.... (still got the Q9450 that i think can take 1st with dice or ln2 for later on)
So now i can focus on my REX, I have removed the regular heatpipes and put all Enzo copper on the chips plus a lot of fans,
I also did the socket prep for the SS last night.
So i figure a E8500 would be a good chip to put the REX thru the paces, not going for any records but i was
very interested to see if it had any 600+ FSB ballz.....
So the only stuff i have been doing with this board is building the HD loads, i have my Vista64 that i play in and i
built a very nice TinyXP for it toooo but anyway, I fired up the SS and was on my way....
So after a few boots and trying to get a better feel for the bios, also upgradign it to the latest....
I got it to easily go to..... Freq : 5278.95 MHz (621.05 * 8.5)
http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1346257
So that made me real happy, so i played for a while trying setting, I think it can do much more then the 621. that was just to easy (knocks wood)
then i tried some speed runs and quickly hit Freq : 5537.89 MHz (582.94 * 9.5)
http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=1346305
So it was time to stop and i was very happy with this first test drive of the REX, i am very happy with it.
So now that i know the board got some chops it will be time to put some chips on it that i actually have a chance of getting close to the top
chips like the E8500 i don't think i can even get close without LN2.... but that is coming tooooooo!
well that was my Saturday overclocking adventure :surf: gooooooooo TEAM
Good to see you're on the REX now.
Some guys even got the FSB up in to the 690s with the REX.
Here's an E8500 with REX at 693.99mhz: http://hwbot.org/community/submissio...eme_693.99_mhz
So maybe you can even push it some more. :yepp:
Keep clockin, great work!
Nice first run with the REX Steve!
Which memory kit do you have, and what's your Vnb?
600MHz is easy with this board, I was able to hit 621MHz as well, but than it got harder, I'll have to look into it some more when I have more time. This board is great, I'm sure you'll love it! :)
Did you test your memory as well?
