Just got my OCZ PC2-8000 Platinum XTC 2x1Gb kit today (Model: OCZ2P10002GK) from newegg and it won't even POST with that damn board !!!! $500 wasted for nothing :nono:  I am going to try another kit , plz help AMD guy choise the right one that works with that board for sure . Interested in 1Gb (2x512Mb) and 2Gb Kits (2x1Gb) and maybe somebody knows some cheap value RAM too so i can just try and make sure it's mem. incompatibility issue or not ?
Thank you :)

Thanks for the link :toast: , may be i'l try that Ballistix kit , seems a bit pricey for just 1 gig but i gues it's worth it if it's D9 Fatbody :woot:Quote:

The board needs Vcore and Vdimm mods to up Vs from 1.5/2.15Vs.
For cold boot Tcoremod will help....http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...t=95411&page=2
Anand has a review up and seems to have some oc jumper stuff in it:

Maybe I´m to stupid, but I can´t get clockgen running...:(
I don´t know which pll to choose or set it the right way.
Always no posibility to change something...:(
Use 1.0.4.4 version and the last PLL from the list, don't remember name
Thanx, works perfekt...:toast:
Tried this 9541XX recommended for 975...
So it seems to me that all these mobile chips, whether Yonah or Merom, have an FSB wall that no cooling will get past (unless you hit the lotto like Tyrou). So is it the chips or the board (e.g., chipset)? And why would one want to drop $300 on this board under these circumstances?
Is there some reasonable expectation (i.e., evidence) that this FSB issue will go away with some future CPU stepping or bios revision?
I love the idea of these low-wattage (lower than Conroe) chips under extreme cooling, but I also love the idea of cold fusion.
Extreme cooling and voltage mods will help with the FSB. But those things are not going to turn a so-so CPU into a great one. There are various theories about the FSB. Some say it's the board, while others think it's the CPU. I think most people who've actually used Yonah have concluded the CPU is more likely the culprit. At least that's my conclusion. I have two different Yonah chips. Same board, same BIOS, same RAM, same settings. One CPU overclocks much better than the other.
So those getting 225 FSB on air are getting considerably higher higher on phase?

is T-core mod a *MUST* for SS temps?
And if you knew how annoying it is, even worse that fighting AMD coldbug :p:Quote:
