Im not crawling back. I will beat stephen on the expert. Illl beat the first few screenshots he posted but I cant compete with his new cooling but the first few screenies he gave me are gonna be easy to repeat.
it was easy to do 280mhz on my ram on expert, no tweaks or anything but i spent a goddam hour on the a8n32 sli and couldnt get it to work and this ram did 300mhz on the expert
The 520 watt powerstream does have 8 pins. I got mine 2 weeks ago.Quote:

Ballistix cant boot at the timings. I thought you meant htt and all dude. If you look in the 1x1gb oc database everyone is doing 290+ @ 3-8-3-3Quote:

Overall this board if good for a ROCK SOLID stable overclock. If you can get it to post, boot in windows and it is stable then it will continue that way. You wont turn on your comp one day and run into any surprises.
It was really easy to get 280mhz on expert on ram. No tweaks or anything right OBO but a8n32 dont work like that
280 w/ballistix and 280 with BH5 are 2 totally different beasts. Although I haven't ever run this pair of BH @ 280, I can boot @ 270 - and this was before my autocascade was modded again:Quote:

I need this ballistix and BH5 thing cleared up: why do people buy ballistix if you can buy bh5 a lot cheaper, hit the same speeds at lower clocks and you only need to give it more volt?
If you actually do something with your PC like gaming, video edit, or other tasks, you may want 2 gigs of ram. Most folks go with high clocking 2G kits to get 2 gigs. BH5 guys are running 2x512 or 2x256. 4x512 would suck azz for overclocking.
