Sorry guys, I guess I won't be popping in my 4400, the board is alrdy sold and will be sent out tomorrow, anyway, back to my reason for posting, If you do not want to take off the metal backplate of the an832 to put a block on, you don't have to, my g5 bolts are too wide for the holes, but my old whitewater mounting kit was perfect for them. the board will accomodate any water block on the market just fine. (well, any 2 hole mountable block). (comment has nothing to do with u guys trying to take off the plate by the way, I wrote this like 3 hours ago, just never submitted it, heh)
If you dont remove the back plate dont tighten to hard on the screw in points. I snapped the screw in point quite well with moderate force. Funny thing was i tried to snap the other side using extreme force and it wouldnt snap. So maybe it was just a bad make.Quote:

Whatever it is it aint coming of unless I risk snapping the board. Just tried the w/block mounting screws and while a little tight they do seem to fit ok, so I might just leave like that for now. Keeps the warranty intact aswell I suppose should anything go wrong with the board (aint fired it up yet). Thx for the suggestions guys.

Looks like a very good board guys just needs some time for the bios to mature. Very nice review benq almost made me want to buy one right now.
However I already got an eXpert on the way and I might even consider dropping that for an Asus crossfire board as soon as its available because I am very interested in running 2x X1800 xt crossfire as soon as mastercard is out.

If you read all my post in this thread you'll see that I'd already warned couple times to stay away from 502....it's very troublesome and just plain sucks! you can play around with beta 804 and beta 805 but they're a little bit unstable especially if you put the board under phase change, for now just stick with the official 703 released!! :)Quote:

I've started (cautiously) to overclock on mine now with the Venice 3000. One thing I'm not sure of is the AiBooster utility. It seems to report voltages about 0.5v above the BIOS setting and I'm not sure which is correct.
The system is in an Antec P160 case; this has a couple of temperature probes, one of which I've wedged into one of the Ballistix heatspreaders. The RAM seems to idle at 26C and is priming at 32C under load at 250HTT 1:1. What's a safe maximum temperature for RAM?
So the A8N32 doesn't natively support SATA right off the bat like the A8N-SLI Deluxe?
I don't know about anybody else but in my case it was bios, I didn't have any problem with 703 except the PC Prope reports my cpu temperature idle at +22'C instead of -22'C. the beta 804 and 805 were whacky under subzero, APM in the bios was completely blank, and I was having a hard time to get a POST at 3.30ghz, though with 703 I boot right into windows at 3.40Ghz...pretty much the exact same speed I did on DFI Ultra-D, so I didn't bother to post any benchmarks or screenie as I didn't gain anything, just stick with BIOS 703 and you'll be fine...and have fun playing with the vapo and all those new toys you just got :D :DQuote:

neither is correct, the vcore display is completely junk on this board it doesn't matter if you read it off of bios, pc probe or ai booster.Quote:

I have not heard anybody killed their hardware on this board yet, the one and only person had his cpu killed is Otaking71 and here is his thread, read all his posts and you'll noticed he killed his cpu when he was running at 1.46v + vcore boost = 1.66v :lol: IMO it doesn't matter what motherboard you use but if you're willing to put 1.66v to your cpu then you better be prepare for the worst. I guess when his first cpu popped it must of fried something else on that motherboard, so he plugged in another cpu and poof it went again. So no I do not think you made a mistake by trading in your expert to this asus, IMO both mobo are good just that I prefer to play with something different and new....8 phase power and all :D :DQuote:

you have to set 1T manually, look at the first page of this thread and I had a bios screenie there that shows 1T/2T memory timing option under the cpu configuration section.Quote:
