Ooo... RAID0 is a tricky move because with the data interleaved across both disks and if something goes bad with either disk, recovery is not an option... I noticed the NVraid and the SI controller like to "zero out" a file system when it's created... I was worried about this myself as for migrating... I know with Promise you could create raid0 sets without harming a raided disk set if it was made with the same promise controller and you made sure to set the interleave the same as it's set on the current raid0... I think default is 32bytes on most... but as I said, both the NVraid and SI controllers like to create a fresh file system from the start when you setup raid... the new SI controller with raid5 might be different, but BE SURE to backup as I have serious doubts about being able to migrate your raid0 set to the new mobo...

This is the exact reason i dont bother with onboard raid controllers. using a 3Ware controller in a PCI slot solves this headache.

Post the "defective" BIOS

Can someone please post the revision of these "defective" (i.e. "CPU Killer") DFI Expert BIOS? The reason I am asking this is check and see if Monarch's stock (or any other vendor) is not affected or not.

The DFI RDX200 appears to have killed a couple CPU's.....NOT the DFI Expert.

Both are made by DFI...RDX200 is ATI chipset....Expert is just a changed DFI NF4 SLI-DR

Ok my system is now stable at 6 minute mark so far. I Flashed with the 11/11 beta bios that angry games is using. and it seem to be doing the job. now i will see if i can run 4GB 1T
