using the overclock tool i am at 648 core and 621 mem and I get 8670 in 05 :D I am trying to get them mem higher, I tried 650 and got artifacts, I just downloaded the newer version of the tool and I will try again.
What processor are you running now?Quote:

Yes stock cooling. I am at 654core and 621 mem and get 8743 in 05. Temps hit 75c so I think I will stop there until I get better cooling. Mem doesnt seem to want to go higher, but I think its heat related and might be better when I remove the stock hs.Quote:

I haven't seen a single X1800XL that did lower than 625/650 or so, so 600/600 is easy pickings.
u sure hope so cause i sold my 7800 GT which did 500 core 1220 mem (fast as GTX) to get the x1800 xl. At 600 core it will perform like the GTX and beat it in some cases. I just dont wanna lose performance. Ill know in like 18 hours when fedex guy comes.Quote:

I have an X800XL right now which is ok but playing on my dads X850XTPE is real sweet. Would be nice to have an X1800 run a little faster than that in my system.
BTW, new OMEGAs based on 5.10a are out with full support for X1800 card plus tweaks to the card that are found in external tools/betas. No voltage selection though but AAA/HQAF as well as memormap tool are included I believe if anyone wants to play.
Hehe a little PR from ATI:

Were you able to run any benchmarks at that speed or was that a Windows stable shot???? Anyway that is still hella fast with no artifacts.Quote:

I just got my card yesterday, brought my card to work, and swapped it into my lab pc. Installed the latest omega drivers, and using the overclocking tool I reached 600/600 with stock cooler, no artifacting while running rthdribl maximized on a 1600 x 1200 desktop to stess my card. The highest temp i've seen so far is 69° w/ fan at max speed. (with the card at stock settings, the temps reach this high as well w/ auot_fan_speed control on the card).Quote:

Yeah, i gotta play around with it more, but i actually have some work to do at work today lol. so i can't atm. The first time i ran 600/600 i bumped the vcore up one notch w/ the overclock tool, and a few mins of running rthdribl my screen went black and paused (like it was changing resolutions), then came back to what seemed like normal. I didn't notice at first, but during that time the overclock tool crashed, so at that point it was back to stock speeds... so basically my temps were not at that actual speed. I'll have to play more when i get home later :)Quote:

well your not the first to talk about the black screen when overclocking this card. Someone else mentioned this happening last week when he overclocked his XL. I suppose it may be VPU recover kicking in due to the stress and/or heat of the card under that speed .
Yes I get the black screen for several seconds too when overclocking with the Driverheaven tool
the screen going black is normal i think. I dont have any ATI software installed and I still get it.
Firstly well done Sampsa :toast:
I just recieved my XL today .. encouraged by the many who said theirs clocks well, and mine seems to run benchies at max CCC of 575/550 quite happily on stock cooler/volts.
But that cooler fan is a bit noisy for me, I noticed some Zalman clips holding Fugger's waterblock on, and wondered if he could tell me if they were from the 700 gpu cooler, and if so does it fit the XL card ?
Hopefully when the new ati tool is released I can join the ranks of XT clocks .. on a decent air cooling solution
The zalman vf700 fits the x1800'sQuote:
