So, anyone know if the PA would be worth buying if I plan to use 130 cfm fans? the max it says on thermo's site, or should I go HE?

It will be fine. Trust me. When you hear those fans blast away, you'll be wanting to slow them down somewhat, and then the PA will be serving you better. As it stands, there won't be a lot of difference between the PA and the HE given 130cfm fans on one side, and if you run the fans any slower than that, the PA will be better, so IMO the PA will be the better option in the long run.Quote:

Quick update, as I've got to run... Here is a pic for your viewing pleasure of the mounting of one of my PA120.2's.

I resized images on my server (downsized), and as a result some image names changed. Ah well.

Question is: in this scenario what cpu temperature drop should I expect with a 120.3 instead of a 120.2? (based on your experience with these or other radiators)
I'm asking this because I can fit a 120.2 easily in my stacker but not the 120.3.
I've got the CM Stacker 810, and the PA120.2 mounted to two CM drive cages (comes w/ one, had to order the second). The two drive cages take up 6 of the 12 total (including the bay for the USB/PWR module) 5.25" bays, but the PA120.2 effectively blocks out one above and below for a total of 8 used. Since I have relocated my USB/PWR module to the bottom slot where it fits under the rad & fan (though I may still trim it a little), I have 4 bays free on top, with another about 1/2 used. I may be able to fit a fan controller or LCD in the half used spot, not sure yet.Quote:

Anyone know if the 120.3 will fit in the bottom of the Lian Li v2000?
not if you want to keep any of the drive cages

here is a concept from frozen cpu

Why did you not opt for the PA120.3?Quote:

Here's a preliminary temps reading (idle/load) with stock X2 4800+ at 1.3v and 2.4Ghz - no OC:
CPU: 32/46
GPU1: 46/70+
GPU2: 35/?
Chip: 29/47
Something is definitely going on with GPU1. Either I may need to reseat NV-78 block or reconfigure/rethink the whole loop. I am open to suggestions/recommendation. Thanks in advance.
P.S. - This is my first watercooling.
To give a bit more detail on my PA120.3 setup, holding the rad to the case is 2 rad box from Swiftech. After the rad box are Antec fans in push mode. The fan is rated at 79cfm at 29.8db. The fans are quiet at the amount of air produce. Plus they're hook up to a fan controller. FYI, fan model is 75003 from Antec.
After the fan is the HE shroud. Both sides of the shroud needed to be bent slightly in order to make it fit on the PA120.3. Didn't require alot of work because I only pressed the shroud down slightly. The side mounting screw holes lined up perfectly. So if you have a PA rad and in need of a shroud and can't wait for a PA shroud, then the HE will work just fine.
My first impression of the PA120.3: big and heavy. I held a BIP3 and the weight of it is nothing compare to the PA. Looks like I will need a 2 man crew to transport my system to LAN Parties now :D

No, don't wan't external mount either, 'cus why buy a huge ass case like the CM Stacker only to mount more stuff outside? Anyway, the sig says it all, there's no other way of explaining it really. :p:
I love your sig :DQuote:

mjassbong,
Sweet setup you've got there, looking really nice with that new radiator. I'll purchase one myself, but I have to wait one month...

mjassbong,
Sweet setup man. I almost bought that case too. I decided not to 'cus I wanted to go internal but I am a dremel n00b. Not to mention, those lian-li's are big bucks... and my last case was like $500 from Soldam, so I figured I'd be frugal for once. what am I saying! ;)
Thanks :)Quote:

Thanks! This case does provide a lot of room. But with the amount of hardware I have, there's no way I can get the PA120.3 to fit inside. It attaches to the back very nicely, however.Quote:

So the HE shroud goes on with little effort then? If so, great can reuse my 2 HE shrouds...Quote:
