A quick calculation tells me that a P4 670 consumes roughly 400w above 7ghz (this is without the lower temps considered). That the PSU would burn out was pretty predictable but that it would also destroy all your other hardware is weird. Memesama, The Stilt has ram that did DDR 860 4-2-2-x. Would that be better suited for SPI? Would DDR 860 4-2-2-x beat DDR 940 4-3-3-x?
I've got the PCP&C 850W and afaik, it has 2x 12V rails @ 17A each for the mainboard (cpu), 1 rail for the 2 pci-e connectors and 1 rail for the molex/sata connectors. So it should be able to provide 408W to the motherboard/cpu.Quote:
