Just thought I would show this page of up coming crossfire mobos. Looks like DFI will be in the game also:)

Nice 2 slot spacing between PCI-E cards I might add;)

Yes, DFI does look good, but the fact that ATI has pressured them to use the SB450 instead of the ULi southbridge has them worried, so it worries me also :(
Notice the DFI chipset fan. Right square in the middle of the 2 slots this time, perfect location, they learned their lesson:)

Lets hope DFI doesn't take any crap from chipset makers:DQuote:

I like DFI's battery placment ALWAYS have they are wherer you can get to them when ANYTHING is installed I love it!!! the DFI boards looks like it will ROCK...the MSI boards the Asus and Gigabyte board are all in a bad place...

I don't see any 4V memory jumper on that Bad boy, I hope she has the same potential as the NF4 mobo.

Wow another plus forgot about always having to check to make sure the weight of the dice tube didn't cause the card to move a bit and stop the fan. :clap:Quote:

looks like its either this or the sapphire dependent on whether the dfi gets the the whole range of voltage adjustments like the sapphire es board or not.
I don't see why it wouldn't. DFI is making it after all, I'd guess they can pretty much put what they want to in it.Quote:

The Sapphier and DFI board i bet will be almost the EXACT same maby have a lil differnt lay out...but as fare as voltages they will be about the same...also I think the DFI board will be better just from having the know how and the long term trial and error...also I think that DFI will have better bios support thatn sapphire will...
Dragon
wouldn't that be nice :toast:Quote:

The thing I would like to ask is this. As stated below, you said that they were not hand picked cards, and before that you said that anyone can go to the store and with the "right knowledge", get a 900 core also.
"Believe what you will, but I will tell you again, these are not hand picked cards. What you should consider is that someone knows how to tweak things better than anyone else. It is possible and in this case it is true." Posted by (Grayskull post #197)
we have all known that Macci is a master of making hardware do the imposable, or even the possible, but he actually puts numbers behind a reasoning or idea that many have come up with. We know he speaks the truth in his postings and gives us average joe's some insight of what we can do to better our performance. In his posting he mentions this below.
...but yes I suppose it does take a bit more than just the cooling and the Vgpu mod to get there... posted by Macci (post #199)
Posting this in regards to his clock, how are we supposed to perceive your comments exclaiming and even getting angry at other users when they are calling out that the cards had to be hand picked. Myself, being a computer hardware consumer would like to know the truth when it comes to testing and benching of any product. I've never been a fan of sites that sugar coat their results so they can increase sales of an item. As I know ATI is a billion dollar corporation and wouldn't need to do such a thing, it would be nice to know the truth. What is the shame in saying it is hand picked if it was. Some of your comments are misleading and would really appreciate some clarifications. Sorry if I offended anyone as I did not mean to, I was only questioning some statements that were made.

Very good question and no offense taken.
What Macci is saying should be interpreted literally, as it's exactly true. It will take more than cooling and a Vgpu mod to the card to get as fast as he did. This doesn't imply that the cards were golden in any way. It just means more tweaks and mods are required.
