radcruiser,
looks good! You're nipping at my heels, time for me to go bench!

Please forgive my ignorance, but what does each of these things control: VDD, VDDQ, and IGPU? I saw each of these referred to in the pictures at this vmod link but I'm not sure about some of the terminology.
VDD is RAM voltage, right? If that's true, what's VDDQ? I didn't hear of anyone in this thread modding IGPU, so I'm not even sure if I need to think about modding it when I get one. The only one I know for sure is VGPU. :stick:
I'm sure a few other people might like to know as well. Thank you! :)
IGPU = Overcurrent protection. Useful if you want to give more volts to your gpu but the card shuts down to prevent damage.
VGPU is obvious.
I'll let someone else answer the vdd and vddq. I think that they are the votlages for the ram, but not sure. I've often heard/seen vddq = 1/2(vdd)...but on my x800xl, vddq was almost the same as vdd. Unless the vmod on that link was wrong.
And here is my X800 XL and Winchester 3000+:

No Voltage mods on video card or mothboard.
Just pushing chips the old-fashioned way.

14k in 03! Looks like Charlie has a little more competition. ;) :toast:
very very nice runs.... links to compare?? Your '05 looks correct, but '03 looks buggy :(Quote:

That memory is really killing you! Will it run 2.5-3-3??
Thanks:)
This memory is not getting along with my DFI. It used to do 2.5-3-3 upto 265 2.85v in my neo2. Now It wont even pass 250 3-3-3 independant of voltage without giveing me a really hard time about it. I'll give it another go bout 8pm (UK time) with the latest and greatest bios and see if anything is sorted.
The CPU on the otherhand has about 100mhz left in it.
Hi peeps, I got my card the other day, tis a Powercolor x800xl vivo with powerconnector and 1.6ns ram.
Ive got it under my waterblock and my max stable clocks so far are 460/550. Im amazed at the ram clocks Charlie is getting, have you volt modded the ram or is that at default, cos if the ram responds well to voltage then I will have to mod that as well as the core.
Temps according to riva tuner whilst playing hl2 read a max of 42C, 3d05 heats up to abt 40C
Will be looking at maybe flashing the card with x800xt bios (modified hopefully to reduce clocks) to see if i can increase the clocks. Happy so far with the card, just hope to get come more out of it!!
mong
most definately!!Quote:

I think u better choose X800XL instead of X700PRO.Quote:

Set it all to high performance, man. No one cares how good your bench looks. :) It'll probably give you a couple hundred points extra.
Disable as many services and processes running in the background, too. Run it in Real-Time priority through task manager and do the multiprocessor tweak through device manager. Doing all that might even get you close to 30k with a little higher GPU/CPU clocks. :toast:
i set them all to high and put windows to performance , and managed to get it 3d stable at 2700 again. is vcore safe @ 1.66 and ldt 1.5 and 1.8 on chipset.. is that to high for 24/7? got 29492 check sig for link. how do you do the multi tweak? any others worth doing to help me make 30k
ctr panel>system>hardware>device manager>computer>acpi uniprocessor pc>driver tab>update driver>bottom bullet>select acpi multiprocessor pc
Now beware: ACPI Multiprocessor tweak sucks for 24/7 usage and it's not reversible without an O?S install... if you want 30K, plan on doing a fresh O/S install!!
C
maybe ill leave that one for now. any other tweaks to break 30k?
I think you're REAL close to your max... fwiw, acpi tweak would probably give 500 points...Quote:
