also swopping out pistons, cams, conrods, entire exhaust system, suspention

before you shout at me, i REALLY wish i could restore this car to its original shine, but i dont have the cash, the heatguage broke, found out that an original would cost me the same that i paid for the car, so just put in a generic cheapy at 1/70th the of cost

oh yeah, also have a volkswagen polo classic 1.6i as a daily driver(but polo's are dumb :slapass: )

Similar to my old car I used to have a 1975 280 DOHC I-6, I paid 400 dollars for it, I found it funny when I outran most of the little ricers around here.

I could get 500 our of my 6 just as easily as anyone else can. But it would cost alot of money, and it would purely not be worth it. Even with my own designs, it would be far more cost effective to just get a 6.0L V8 and tune it for 500.

I don't have any pics right now of my car, but its a 1994 SS Camaro w/ an LT-350.

I like the LT1 alot though...lol. I'm going to send it to CCI once I get some extra cash and have 'em go nuts on it. Factory 315HP when it gets back i'll have to buy another transmission since it'll be pushing around 475-500HP. Speaking of which...i'm still debating on whether or not the two 12" Alphasonics would be better suited than my back seat xD

I wish I had a transmission for my Nissan Mini, or a 350 :)

Yeah, sometimes the things can be hard to come by. I have a friend who was buying a new engine and he found a guy who had an engine and trandsmission both engine for $350 and engine w/ transmission...for $1,500...I was like...yeah, buy the engine find a transmission somewhere else.

you wont need a new tranny, just a new clutch and flywheel

i wanna get an ls1, and get some 402 heads, with pistons and what not, thats like 5k worth of :banana::banana::banana::banana:, and it puts it up to about 600 hp

ACtually, I do need a new tranny, this one is locked up, I paid 1000 for a '96 mini with 100k in good shape, bad tranny. My friend has a 94 with a bad motor all setup for bags for 500, debating on that or a 350 crate.

So, basically, it's the same that your actual car...
Say you have 173 ibs from 1950 to 5000 rpm's in your Golf GTi 1.8 Turbo
(20 valve engine !)

The new Golf GT have 175 lbs from 1750 to 4500 rpm's....
The engine will answer a little faster, thanks to the compressor, especially at ultra-low rpm's (850-1300)
Then , the "clutch" will put to sleep the compressor and put the Turbo in action...
By the way, how is your engine at high rpm's....?? (rusher? or seems harder to get further??)

Currently drive a little old Saxo.. however I'm currently in the process of test driving cars:
* Saab 93 2.0t Aero - test driven.. not too bad.
* Alfa Romeo GT - next to test drive.. rather beautiful italian car.. hopefully the electrics are ok!
* BWM E46 330d - old barn stormer but BMWs are the most common car in the UK.

The 330D is a really fast diesel. It even joined Gumball3000 ^^
The AR GT is just boring with the FWD, although the engine is nice and the looks are pretty cool.

The purchase has been put off until next year but it'll be a Alfa GT 2.0 JTS.

I test drove the Alfa and, well, that was that ;) Car is better than a Saab 93 Aero for handling. The 1.9JTD was pretty decent for a diesel too.
However.. I can't get past the fact that it's a diesel..

I'm 6'4" and don't have a problem with the Alfa, good boot space and it has rear seats but you'd not want people over 6' in them.

Ticks all the boxes, although it being an Alfa mean it requires some regular TLC.

I wish those were real M3 wheels but sadly they are knock-offs (real ones would probably double the value of my car; it's got 220,000 miles but still runs pretty well and beats ricers on my way to college every day). Good to see so many BMW drivers on here by the way. Excelent taste.
