K thanks for clearing that up. From what I have read, the 16/2 offers about a 30-40% increase compared to a 50-70 for sli. So that is still a pretty good increase. For $190 thats pretty good imo as you can get past 6600gt performance :banana:Quote:

Well I know a 6600gt basically>9800xt, and a oced 6600 is like 10% slower than a 6600gt. So I am guessing oced and whatnot it will probably be close to a 9800 pro if not better.I mean look at the 3dmark03 and 05 scores, they are very 9800 proish.Quote:

I dont have 3DMark03 or 05, or even DX9 installed on my computer, so I stuck to '01 for testing the soft mod. I didn't notice much improvement in game test framerates so I tried the fill rate tests:

At 500c / 660 m, I was getting 18K with 75.90 drivers. The overclockability of my card was reduced somewhat after the soft-mod and it was unable to complete all seven tests at the same speed. From the tests that did complete, I would estimate a 19K score.....not a huge improvement for double the pipelines.
Two problems at this point. Lost approx. 10-15 Mhz on overclock and can't publish 3dmark scores on the ORB. Projects show gpu type as ' Generic VGA'. Does that with all drivers including the 75.90s. Anyone run into this??
BTW: I noticed that as of yesterday, there are '01 scores published for 6200s.

thats odd Jay - i was also having that problem - unable to publish my 6200 scores, however, i checked back out of curiousity from your post and for some reason i was able to publish and it detected my card properly as 6200. Perhaps it was a futuremark glitch that they have now fixed? I published my scores and i'm leading in '05 and '03, now just need to take the '01 crown - more work to do when i get back to school :)
:D About 6 days ago, I sent Futuremark an e-mail regarding the 6200 ORB problem. Even though I haven't heard back from them, part of me wants to think that is why they fixed it... :lol: In reality. I'm sure they have received many, many e-mails about that.Quote:

lol, i'm sure futuremark recieved loads of emails about that...but i'll still believe that it was your email that made them fix it :P anyways - haven't heard back from the crew at mvktech regarding NiBiToR...hope they get it working :) sucks that you can't get over 520 on chilled water - i'm going to pick up my new gpu fan on monday - see what kind of clocks i can get out of that. I'm hitting 580 stable right now, with a new cooler i *hope* to hit 600. We will see :)

Do the 6200 and 6600 have different cores and memory speeds?
Bush - nope - exact same core and memory speeds, just 8x1 config instead of 4x1 the 6200 has :toast:
Nibitor 2.0a is out, supports 6200 AGP. I tried loading my 6200 PCI-E BIOS, i can change the clocks, but the voltages are grayed out :(.
damn't - guess its good we can at least change the clocks...but that sucks about the voltages :( guess its all hand-done volt mods then :)
Interesting... I wonder how they figure out the voltages, I'm sure there must be a way to figure out what changes the voltages. Changing the clocks is nice, but you can already do that outside of the bios...Quote:

this nibitor release couldn't have come at a better time actually because i have not yet strapped on my zalman cooler and i'm able to hit 580 stable on my core, 585 with artifacts...so hopefully i'll push 600 with the new cooler, however, coolbits doens't allow you to go over a 100% overclock. So if i mod the bios to say a 400mhz default core i should technicaly be able to push i t to 800mhz or thereabouts...not that it will ever reach that high, lol, but just saying, it gives us more room :) And obviously, as i said above ackbar, i haven't yet strapped on that cooler due to the fact that i've been at home and not at school where my computer and cooler is. I'll pick the cooler up from my mail stop tomorrow AM and throw it on and we'll see what it can do :) See ya!
Anyone seen the leadtek 6600 AGP bios around? I'm wondering if just by flashing my leadtek 6200 AGP with the 6600 bios if that wouldn't just change the one to the other.

You're probably on to something there. The Leadtek 6200 and 6600 look exactly the same. Hopefully they have the same memory.

On the FM approved drivers too! How did he do that? I can't find any obvious indications that would lead me to how he was able to do so well with the FM approved drivers...

Well, I know that on the AGP models the only difference that I can see are the coolers. Otherwise they do look exactly the same. The core and memory clocks of the two cards are the same as well.Quote:
