YoupY.. I had to put the HTT to 201 to get the PCI lock to take.. just encause ya didnt notice.
anyway, thanks!
heheh i dont know.. no ones perfect and these things take time i guess. Fix one thing and anohter goes.. I'm sure they will get it all figured out eventually.
whats the best BIOS to go with/??? 5/14/04?? or 5/05/
7-16 works fine for me. I haven't noticed much difference in any of the bios versions anyway (with the exception of 5/14 which stuffs my PC at “Verifying DMI Pool Data..” during startup.
which usdm should i use ? the sensors in my 2.0V beta only display total crap...
ya, don't know about the sensors... every app seems to report the 12v inacurately.
I noticed when I used USDM and MBM my 12v line would read accurately(verified with DMM).
Yup, my 12v rail is 10.5v in sandra, and USDM doesn't even report it at all - it's just grayed out :/
The 12v rail is spot on measured with a multimeter. I don't think the system even would boot with a 10v 12v rail :P
ya, my 12v (measured at the ATX connector while the system was running) was 12.15v using a digital multimeter.
Is anybody here able to run the 8x multi with a 300 HTT and the 2/3 memory divider? My HTT will run over 300, my 3200+ will run 2400 and my memory will do 200 easy, but when I combine all three elements in Clockgen it's reboot city. Some people earlier in this thread were having the same problem.
eclypse is your CPU running cooler or better without the heatsync?
Sorry no.. It dont look like it.. But at the same time my DD Maze 4 custom clamp isint holding the block down as good as it did before without the heatspreader on the die.. That plus my water pump is going so i have not clocked it as high as i did before.. I'm waiting to gather enough cash to buy a new black and pump so i can explore this more.. Sucks cause i'll never know if its better or worse with out it on there. :(
Though i will say dont even bother taking it off.. Also you'll never beable to use a regular heatsink on this after wards since the heigth is lower then before.
Dont try running that to long my friend. In all honesty SERIOUSLY I have lost 2 boards trying to run at those specs? My first board lost its PS2 Keyboard port and now my current board will randomly shutdown for no reason? Even after clearing the cmos I get random shutdowns another rma.Quote:

The 8x and 9x multi don't seem to werk very well for me too :(Quote:

With those multies I cant get the HTT speeds I could get with the 10x
so yeah...
i'm having problems as well now...
last night i left and my computer had shut off :(
so two sticks of ram won't work in my system anymore...
my ram together is good up to 240 @ 3.2 volts with 2-2-2-6 timings
now, i can't get 1 stick to run at 225 mhz even with 3.2 volts :(
i had bios 5/5 and now using 7/9 but still have the same problem
any ideas?
Wow i hope its just the motherboard.. Sounds expensive.. If your lucky ya just cooked the chipset?
my board is so fickle ugh
so 1 stick won't work but 2 sticks will??? wtf?
anyway it's working now :)
gosh, that was scary
Yo using slots 2 and 3? 1 sucks!
lol
i can't use slot 2!!!
i use 1 and 3
heh wow.. You testing them one stick at a time in each slot and 1 and 3 are good to go eh?
yeah!
strange...
and i also fixed my vcore problem by pulling the battery out of the board for 5 minutes then restarting... worked like a charm! :)
and now..
my board is dead!!!
no boot no power nothing!!! :(
geez... what crap!!! BAAAHHHH
oh well... can't wait for the dfi 754 board! :)
Well, I guess we need a chip capable of 3 Ghz+ then. LOL. Ugh. It's OK. My A-DATA PC4200 is coming soon, so I'll just run 1:1 below 300.Quote:

Clock for clock, how much of a performance boost is there with a HTT over 300 given that a memory divider must be used? I'm thinking 260s - 280s 1:1 will be better than 300+ with a memory divider.
Good question, as I would like to know also. My boards always crapped out before I had a chance to run 3dmark. Can some paleez eliterate on this?
