Download the modifed flashorm fromhere:.
Have a good read while you're at it.
After that, download the ATI bios linked from that page.
Follow the instructions & you should be good to go.
As I stated in one of my earlier posts, this is the way I did it:
"Make sure that you save your old bios first, then use flashrom16 & empty.bin to empty the bios & then flash your VC's bios straight away with the lastest ATI X800XT PE bios (520/560)."

Thanks for posting the link to W1zzard's modified flashrom. After reading his page there, it looks to me like his method is the best because you can go back to 12 pipes if the card isn't fully functional with 16. Apparently, the Gigabyte flash method leaves you stuck with 16 pipes. Also you only have to flash once.Quote:

Issues: Seems to black screen on me after ATITOOL runs artifact tester for 80 seconds.
PSU shouldn't be an issue got a new OCZ PowerStream 520W running.
Anyone else get same problem?
Temp is 54C loaded with ATITOOL.
Tried 4.10 and 4.11 both black screen me to death.. no graphics corruption, no artifacts/checkerboards just freezes comp and black screens.
Fixed the CLI.exe error by installing .net 1.1 But still blackscreens after 60 seconds of ATITOOL. Annoying cause I don't get any graphic corruption but still pos freezes the comp. I had AI disabled also.
Damn drivers...

I successfully flashed this model using the modified flash tool and the modified 16 pipe PRO VIVO BIOS. I verified that I had 16 active pipelines, and I saw a jump in the ATI Tool 3d View from 115 fps to over 320 fps. I flashed back to my original bios immediately since the temp went to over 75 C almost immediately with stock cooling. I believe I need to flash with the Gigabyte flash tool back to my original BIOS, since I reset the card to its original configuration (12 pipes, 115 fps) with the modified tool.
Use the modified flashrom to flash to the ATI X800 Pro VIVO 16P (AGP) 256 MB bios from here. That will give you 16 pipes and stock X800 Pro clocks.Quote:

My powercolor worked just fine. Really bad overclocker though, only 555/610 with AC silencer and 1.55 vgpu and 2.3 vdd. Tried every voltage up to those levels aswell. Got me some 32k with a 3700 @ 10x260 and bh-5 @ 2-2-2.
My Powercolor has a face with memory 2ns and the other face 1.6ns

its running at XT PE stock, but i haven't had time to do the mod. will let you know once i do

question: Haven't tried to overclock yet but is there a difference as to which bios I use? the techpowerup.com library has an Asus X800XT PE bios. should I use that since its the same brand and someone said the Asus cards get around 1.44v to the vgpu as opposed to 1.41 for most other cards, or is there another bios that's providing some exceptional overclocking?
gpu at 40'C in 2d, haven't run anything intensive yet.
what does the A.I. function do? its in my Custom Settings for radlinker. and should I use OverDrive or manually overclock?
