pkrew, do you have a fan blowing on your RAM?
I have a 120mm antec smart cool blowing on it. It doesn't put out much air. Probably should stick this 90 cfm Sunon I have on there. I had OCZ bga's on all the chips but had to remove them on one side of each stick so the ram would fit. I tried to bend them, but they still ride very close to the solder joints and I'm a little concerned about something shorting out. I'll try to cut them at some point and see if I can make them work
Edit: What's the tweaks for XP and spi. I'm about 10mhz away from 27s, but it will only go 12 loops at that speed.
Do you have Windows Server 2003 ? Supposedly you get a nice bump in Super_Pi ...

Nice memory benching.
You have 3.7V for memory on this mobo.
Can you give me details on the mod?
I'll be picking this mobo up today.
Thanks,

So thats it, just hook the ATX 3.3 to that cap?Quote:

Great mod, should offer rock stable VDIMM.
That mod can be found here: http://www.akiba-pc.com/forums/index...topic=70&st=90
OPP
yes its really that simple..:DQuote:

is there a way to limit the mod to 3.0-3.2v?
Sure! Put a VR inline?
i tested to limit it with 1k VR , and it don't work , i had 2,9v max.
but monday i tested a floppy wire about 20 cm and i had 3,3v for 3,4 VIO , i think with little resistor 1-5 ohms it ll work fine.
Thanks OPP, yes it's a beautiful little mod. Sets the vdimm to your 3.3v rail. I just wish I had a better cpu or better cooling.
I promised that I would try this with pc3700 eb 2 X 512. This is what I got. First I couldn't boot at anything much above 200 and still get into windows. Then I could get it stable at above 218. Just like the bh-5 I got frustrated and tried 245. It ran beautifully. This is what I ended up with as a max at 3.3v. 260 x 11 at 3226 loading widows at 201 fsb.
I'd think you'd need a lot more than 1k. Try 50k or more.;)Quote:

Yes, I have a copy, I'll give it a try next time I reload the OSQuote:

Certainly something bigger, just start at zero and work your way up.Quote:

Bandwidth at 260
when i put a 1 k resistor the mod don't work at all , and when i put 6 inches floppy wire i got 3,3v for 3,4. with short 220v wire i have 3,42 for 3,40 :D
the good value to have -0,1v is the resistance of 6 inches floppy wire in fact
The reason it didn't work is because 1k is not near enough resistance. It's got to be A LOT MORE! Even with infinite resistance (no mod) you'd probably get 2.95v on your board. What's half of infinite?...lolQuote:

I'm going to try the mod because I can only run at 11.5x233 FSB and I want to run like 11x244 or 10.5x255. Do you think I can get this increase just with the VDIMM mod? I get 1.700 volts to the CPU which I think is plenty on air cooling.
What memory will you be using Storm?Quote:

Mushkin single-sided PC3200 2-2-2 specials. I believe they are BH-6.Quote:

IMO with good aircooling you can run 1.8-1.85v ok.
I run 1.85 into my 3200+ and it's been folding for months w/out problems. It's alpha aircooled and max temps are high 40's to low 50's C
Yes, they are bh-6. You wont know until you try, but bh-6 can do pretty well. I'd say you have a good shot
Storm Pc , do the cap's mod with 10 inches floppy wire for 3,1v for 3,3 vio and you 'll get 245.
Thanks guys!
misteroadster:
I want some adjustment. I'm gonna try a 1 Meg ohm VR. That should do something!
