I wonder if those OCZ EB can take you higher with cpc on as it seems to depend on ram quality as well...
i can get 245 with cpc enabled on the 11/27 bios and i think i'm cpu limited at 2580mhz. I can't even get 200 on 1/21 or 1/31. I'm pretty sure its not cpc causing these problems but something else they optimised in these bioses. Something in it causes me serious problems. I'm happy with these speeds as i'm still burning in. At first i needed 3v on the ram for 245 but now i've been able to use 2.9. The nb is at 1.7. I swear the infinity boards can do 280+. we are all ram limited in the end :(
Have you tried 1.9v VDD with the 1/21 or 1/31 bios's? And have you tried the 5/5 beta?
i havent tried the 5/5 as it seems to be killing a lot of peoples boards. I did try 1.9v with the others and it doesn't really help as i'm limited by my ram, not the fsb.

can anyone do some comparisons between BH-5 at 2-2-2-11 and EB at 3-3-2-11??? Use 245mhz FSB and simply run 3dmark 2001 and see how the scores differ. I'm really curious to know this.

try 2.5-2-2 vs 2-2-2
3-2-2- vs 2-3-2
and 3-3-2 vs 2-3-2
to get a fair idea
yeah i just wanted to know how much performance i'm loosing over the 2-2-2-11 people as i can't get my ram stable at 2.5 at 245mhz

i'm at 3v right now with a fan over the ram, i can test a bit more and see if i can get better timings but i'm not sure i'll be able to get it stable. Its strange as the other night i was testing 200 at stock and it wasn't passing 1 min prime95 but would pass mem86 for 1 hour, any idea why that is?

I've underclocked everything else to show you this. It can't be the CPU as that does 2.6ghz. It can't be the Motherboard as that is stable at 245mhz. The ram is stable at 245 3-3-2-11@3.0v too.
What is going on!
Also, if I run Memtest 86 It seems to be ok. If I run just the one stick of RAM it seems to be ok too. I'm using the 11/27 bios on the DFI board.
*EDIT* just tried the test again but with 3.0v through the ram. Same error.
*EDIT 2* Just tried 205mhz FSB 1:1 and it is priming with no problems. I'm guessing that the 11/27 bios on the DFI infinity's has CPC enabled at 200mhx and below, and when you go above 200 it disables it automatically.
Why am i having problems with this RAM with (allegedly) CPC on at stock settings of 200mhz?

4/29 or later is much better on the DFI NF2 boards and i mean MUCH better.I was able to hit 260+ with CPC enabled with 4200EL.Oskar states he has tuned the bios to suit Hynix based PC4000+ modules better so these are now a good option.
It also allows much higher clocks with tight timings with cpc enabled so is a good upgrade.

wow what a great bios this is, thanks for the tip! I'm now passing prime95 at 200 cpc enabled! Can't thank you enough! Now i have to push the system all over again. 260 here we come! (not)

It's mostly a refinement of 4/29. It seems about the same.

I'm going slowly now. I'm currently at 230 2.5-2-3-8 @3.0v. I'll test more tomorrow. I don't think this ram is as good as the others posting here though but we shall see.
I have seen this phenominon that memtest passes but prime95 fails. I have a second board which can now do dual channel. I am using 5/5 and am at 230fsb cpc on cpu interface on, 2222 11 13/15. I think 235fsb may be stable but I have to drop cpu speed alot for that. 240fsb isn't. I haven't tried another bios. I am using 2 * 256 Mb at too, single sided. Still the performance is about the same at running 250 in single channel.
Guys Andy and myself have done a heap of playing with the DFI and have found a few things.
All the new tweaks in the 4/29 and 5/5 just set them to auto.
For me this was best with my modules to around 240+

CPC enabled
This was with 512's.
If you set tras to 11 then set 13 and 15, if you set tras to 9 set 11 and 13..it has to be 2 clocks apart to work correctly.
Also you can play with the TRCD read setting. If the write needs 3 you may be able to set the read to 2.
Also, please remember 3200 is rated at 200fsb and the 3500 is rated at 217fsb..i know you have seen some huge clocks and we do try and ensure good headroom but ram overclocking is heavily board controlled...a slower board will not clock the ram as well as a faster one.
Not all boards are equal....
How well do 2x512 sticks of these work in nForce 3's, especially the AN50R?
I just ordered the Chaintech VNF3-250 Nforce 3 250 board, so I'll be able to let you know results soon. From what I have heard the EB RAM works well, but there is no substitute for hands on action!
I have had good luck with NForce 3 , as have others
