I'm sick of benching manufacturer limited CRAP!
Without hardmods, you don't have any chance in hwbot...it's ok for the pros, but I definately don't want to do that!
I should have kept my 1440/1982 water 7970 Lightning and should have bought two more of them!
Anyway...my time with NV is over for now.....
Guys, while dwelling on my lacklustre BF3 performance I realised something: with Titan at all stock but +100 core clock it boosts to 1084 in 3D11 and hits 100% load, 100% power but in BF3 it only hits 100% load, 78% and runs at 836MHz .... any ideas why?
:(
Temps? Once they hit about 76-79*C they throttle. Well, some cards do, and even if you push temp slider up it makes no difference. Its like gpu boost doesnt work right on some cards. Some throttle at 60*C 80% power though so be glad its not one of them!
If I push the power slider up then +100 gives me 1110 MHz while playing BF3 but the fps doesn't look like I gained 280mhz....
:(
My cards is arrived:) ASUS GTX Titan SLI

I'm very jealous of all you >1xTitan owners, I'm going to stick with the one only .... one was dear enough for me, luckily it benches well.....
:D
Yeah :p:
Massman shared some titan mod info

Shamino said you just need to use the two resister points and not remove anything here

Guys, I just fitted a full cover block and I am still getting a dropping of power level during 3d11 ... it starts off at 116 then each stage is lower until it gets to 93%... has anyone else seen this?
Has anyone tried the 300% bios linked above?
Its pulling 47 degrees max but its a dedicated loop with a little pump and a 120 rad, so not bad.
:D
Thats great temps :D
Are the clocks throttling?
If you can make the right bios you can get gt1 and gt2 to run full no throttle or voltage dropp and score about 1k more on the gpu side ;)
My stock evga sc card was crap in steady clocks(and voltage) in that one
Proud watercooled Titan owner! Managed to reach 1000Mhz core with 1200MHz boost and 3300MHz on the memory. Stable at 1212.5 mV (1.2125) modded my bios with these settings. Tried some things in the bios aswell! made the 106% power target into my 100% power target. My memory clock and gpu clocks are stable and does not drop, rock stable at 1200MHz boost. Power target reads max 98% yet i dont see any throttling :) Get very nice scores so it seem to be working!

Thanks mate, temps are a little higher than I hoped for but it is a minimal loop so it's ok I guess.
No throttling I can see, only the power level dropping slowly and when it does I get vertical rain like lines in 3D11, worsening until it crashes. What is power level exactly anyway? Gpu current? Because even though the clocks and voltage don't drop something is dropping as scores drop, I let it sit a bit then run again and power level is mostly restored. Is something else heating up through the 3D11 run?
I have got 17k gpu at 1228 core so I'm going to push the power level and vgpu a bit more, maybe with babas 125% 1.25v bios, see what she does then. I'm not yet game to try the hard mod but I might give it a shot soon ....
:)
Kvick - not bad mate, but your CPU is holding your scores back, I would be curious to see how it goes in games against stronger CPUs since most games only support four cores and no HT anyway right?
:)
hard mod + bios but hard mod is what i need for the pl.
Did not try the 300% one massman posted yet.
Water blocks installed. OMG silence, how I missed you :D
Cowie - I tried the 150% one but it only actually reaches 125 in AB and didn't make any difference over the 119 one I had, both max at 1228mhz.
Cryptik - yeah man, water in the best, shame it only gave me 26mhz more but that's better than nothing I guess.
I'm tempted to try the hard mod, to make the most of the water cooling. Is there a 1.25v bios that works? You said not to use the 1.25(3) bios on 1% right?
:D
Only 1228? thats good ain't it?
Sheez at 1.27v i can only go about 1240 and the other 1256 in sli

I can only run about 1287 with the good one @ 1.30v by itself, thats really just .058 over stock thuo.
Mine would do about 1178 maxed on stock bios and cooler, 1202 maxed with flash and stock cooler then 1228 now with bios and water. I'm out of touch with my 2011 rig too so im struggling to get it stable at benching clocks. This doesn't help my cause, I know cold would help CPU and gpu but it's not for me. I was lookig forward to Haswell but I don't think it will outscore my 3930k anyway (but that won't stop me trying ...)
:D
About 3000 physics points (depending on clocks and ram) or another 3000-4000 on top of that with a 3930K ....
:)
Guys, what sort of FPS do you get in BF3 with a single Titan? Im getting big drops still and Im not even on ultra....
and whats wrong with the file manager .... cant add pics ....
:(
EK + backplates installed. Had to tighten some of the EK block standoffs as they were a tad loose, one especially and would have prevented good seating, so just check before you go ahead and install.

Hey mate, did your blocks fit is described in the instructions? Did you have a problem with any of the screws?
:-/
